STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: Recently, various all-ceramic crowns fabricated with CAD/CAM systems have come into wide use in dental clinic. However, there are only few domestic studies on CAD/CAM restorations. PURPOSE: Purpose of this study was to compare the fidelity (absolute marginal discrepancy and internal gap) between various cores fabricated with different CAD/CAM systems (Procera system, Lava system, Cerec inLab system) and conventional metal cast core. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 10 cores per each system were fabricated. The absolute marginal discrepancies were measured using measuring microscope and digital counter. The internal gaps were calculated using a silicone paste. The results were statistically analyzed using the one-way ANOVA test and Tukey's HSD test. RESULTS: Within the limits of this study the results were as follows. 1. The absolute marginal discrepancies were $32.5{\pm}3.7\;{\mu}m$ for metal cast core, $72.2{\pm}7.0\;{\mu}m$ for Procera core, $40.8{\pm}5.4\;{\mu}m$ for Lava core, and $55.3{\pm}8.7\;{\mu}m$ for Cerec inLab core. The internal gaps were $38.4{\pm}5.7\;{\mu}m$ for metal cast core, $71.4{\pm}5.3\;{\mu}m$ for Procera core, $45.9{\pm}7.3\;{\mu}m$ for Lava core, and $51.8{\pm}6.2\;{\mu}m$ for Cerec inLab core. 2. The fidelity of metal cast core showed the smallest gaps, followed by Lava core, Cerec inLab core, and Procera core. CONCLUSION: The fidelities of 4 core groups were all within the clinically acceptable range ($120\;{\mu}m$).

Kenkatha cattle, a draft purpose breed, which can survive in a harsh environment on low quality forage, was explored genetically exploiting FAO-suggested microsatellite markers. The microsatellite genotypes were derived by means of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) followed by electrophoretic separation in agarose gels. The PCR amplicons were visualized by silver staining. The allelic as well as genotypic frequencies, heterozygosities and gene diversity were estimated using standard techniques. A total of 125 alleles was distinguished by the 21 microsatellite markers investigated. All the microsatellites were highly polymorphic with mean allelic number of 5.95${\pm}$1.9 (ranging from 3-10 per locus). The observed heterozygosity in the population ranged between 0.250 and 0.826 with a mean of 0.540${\pm}$0.171, signifying considerable genetic variation. Bottleneck was examined assuming all three mutation models which showed that the population has not experienced bottleneck in recent past. The population displayed a heterozygote deficit of 21.4%. The study suggests that the breed needs to be conserved by providing purebred animals in the breeding tract.

최근 멀티코어 시스템은 컴퓨터의 성능을 향상시키기 위해 더 많은 수의 코어를 연결시키는 다중코어 시스템으로 발전하고 있다. 그러나 멀티코어 시스템은 사용하는 코어의 아키텍처 구조와 개수에 따라 성능 차이가 발생한다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 코어의 아키텍처 구조와 코어의 개수가 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 Tilera의 다중코어 시스템인 Tile-Gx36, TilePro64와 Intel의 x86-64 멀티코어 시스템인 Core i5의 성능을 비교하였다. 코어의 사용률이 늘어남에 따른 성능차이를 알아보기 위해 벤치마크 프로그램인 SPEC CPU 2006을 이용하여 각 시스템 내 단일코어의 성능을 측정하고, OpenMP 벤치마크 프로그램을 이용하여 시스템의 모든 코어를 사용했을 때의 입력 데이터 크기에 따른 성능을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 단일코어에서의 성능은 정수형 데이터를 사용하여 측정하였을 경우 Core i5가 Tile-Gx36보다 약 87%, 실수형 데이터를 사용하여 측정하였을 경우 약 94% 더 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 코어 전체를 이용한 성능 결과에서는 정수형 배열 크기가 이상일 경우 Tile-Gx36 시스템의 처리 속도가 Core i5 시스템 보다 평균적으로 약 7.6배 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 Tilera의 다중코어 시스템은 클럭 속도와 아키텍처 구조의 영향으로 단일코어의 성능은 떨어지나, 병렬 처리를 이용한 고속연산에서는 성능이 향상된다고 할 수 있다.

This paper compares PDM and PWM for single phase switched reluctance motor for vacuum cleaner. Generally, PWM control scheme Is preferred because of small torque ripple compared with PDM control scheme. However, as the motor speed of the vacuum cleaner is above 20,000[rpm], the torque ripple is not problem any more. PDM control scheme is better than PWM control scheme considering loss of power device and EMI.

Magnesium hydroxide-melamine core-shell particles were prepared through the coating of melamine monomer on the surface of magnesium hydroxide in the presence of phosphoric acid. The melamine monomer was dissolved in hot water but recrystallized on the surface of magnesium hydroxide by quenching to room temperature in the presence of phosphoric acid. The core-shell particle was applied to low-density polyethylene/ ethylene vinyl acetate (LDPE/EVA) resin by melt-compounding at $180^{\circ}C$ as flame retardant. The effect of magnesium hydroxide and melamine content has been studied on the flame retardancy of the core-shell particles in LDPE/EVA resin according to the preparation process and purity of magnesium hydroxide. Magnesium hydroxide prepared with sodium hydroxide rather than with ammonia solution revealed higher flame retardancy in core-shell particles with LDPE/EVA resin. At 50 wt% loading of flame retardant, core-shell particles revealed higher flame retardancy compared to that of the exclusive magnesium hydroxide in LDPE/EVA composite, and it was possible to satisfy the V0 grade in the UL-94 vertical test. The synergistic flame retardant effect of magnesium hydroxide and melamine core-shell particles was explained as being due to the endothermic decomposition of magnesium hydroxide and melamine, which was followed by the evolution of water from the magnesium hydroxide and porous char formation due to reactive nitrogen compounds, and carbon dioxide generated from melamine.

Single-mode propagation conditions of X-ray waveguides are investigated by numerical calculations in order to understand the importance of waveguide design parameters, such as core thickness and the optical constants of waveguide materials, on the transmission and coherence properties of the waveguide. The simulation code for mode analyzing is developed based on a numerical solution of the parabolic wave equation. The initial boundary value problem is solved numerically using a finite-difference scheme based on the Crank-Nicolson scheme. The E-field intensities in a core layer are calculated at an X-ray energy of 8.0 keV for air and beryllium(Be) core waveguides with different cladding layers such as Pt, Au, W, Ni and Si to determine the dependence on waveguide materials. The highest E-field intensity radiated at the exit of the waveguide is obtained from the Pt cladded beryllium core with a thickness of 20 nm. However, the intensity from the air core waveguide with Pt cladding reaches 64% of the Be-Pt waveguide. The dependence on the core thickness, which is the major parameter used to generate a single mode in the waveguide, is investigated for the air-Pt, and Be-Pt waveguides at an X-ray energy of 8.0 keV. The mode profiles at the exit are shown for the single mode at a thickness of up to 20 nm for the air-Pt and the Be-Pt waveguides.

Iodine-induced stress corrosion cracking (ISCC) properties and the associated ISCC process of Zircaloy-4 and an Nb-containing advanced nuclear fuel cladding were evaluated. An internal pressurization test with a pre-cracked specimen was performed with a stress-relieved (SR) or recrystallized (RX) microstructure at $350^{\circ}C$, in an iodine environment. The results showed that the $K_{ISCC}$ of the SR and RX Zircaloy-4 claddings were 3.3 and 4.8MPa\;m^{0.5}, respectively. And the crack propagation rate of the RX Zircaloy-4 was 10 times lower than that of the SR one. The chemical effect of iodine on the crack propagation rate was very high, which was increased $10^4$ times by iodine addition. Main factor affecting on the micro-crack nucleation was a pitting formation and its agglomeration along the grain boundary. However, this pitting formation on the grain-boundary was suppressed in the case of an Nb addition, which resulted in an increase of the ISCC resistance when compared to Zircaloy-4. Crack initiation and propagation mechanisms of fuel claddings were proposed by a grain boundary pitting model and a pitting assisted slip cleavage model and they showed reasonable results.

The propellant mixer for charging of solid rocket motors is one of the most important equipments. For the propellant mixer is export control item, it's hard to purchase it directly from abroad. The Mixer was developed locally to overcome export control which precludes us from import. This paper includes the introduction for general mixers and the process of mixer development progressed by LIGNex1. Finally, The mixer is verified the performance using measurements of clearance between blade-blade and blade-bowl and flow simulation with ADINA.

Universal motors are mainly used for vacuum cleaner application. There are a lot of researches on SRM that applys home appliance throughout the world. The manufacturing cost of SRM drive makes it hard to expand its application to home appliance. This paper presents Single Phase SRM for the vacuum cleaner that has advantge in cost and performance over conventional universal motor. This paper proposes new power device driving scheme by using SRM switching characteristic. The driving scheme is very simple and inexpensive. Dwell Time Control method is used for the minimum switching loss of power device. The switching frequency of power device is less than 4.5kHz at 45,000rpm. By use of this scheme, power device based on very small switching losses can be used on SRM drive. Also, the biggest problem in single phase SRM is starting, this paper shows a new starting algorithm with two hall sensors, accelerating and running sensors, respectively. Finally, the proposed Single Phase SRM achieves higher efficiency and long life time compared to universal motor. Its life time is more than 1500 hours. Its life time is extended 4 times than that of conventional motor and its suction power is increased $20\%$ at the same volume of conventional universal motor.
