Micro capsulised PCM은 wax type core와 melamine based wall으로 구성되어있다.
Recently, as architectural concrete structures become high-rise and megastructured, concrete become high-strengthened and, by ensuring products of more stability, and rationalization of construction are required.large cross-sectional precast concrete members such as columns show large temperature increase in manufacturing process not only by external heating but also by concrete itself's hydration heating. Therefore, it is expected that specimen for management to predict strength and compression strength of precast concrete member shows different strength characteristics. Concerning this, in order to suggest strength characteristics of high strength mass concrete suitable for precast concrete application, this study comprises the inclusive investigations on the relations between core strength and the strength characteristics per member cross-section dimensional value and per water-bonding material ratio value.
This study deals with a numerical investigation of load transfer along interfaces of jacketed columns using finite element models. Appropriate plasticity and constitutive models are used to simulate the response of concrete and steel bars. Experimental data were used to calibrate the simulation of mechanical characteristics. The different compressive strength of core and jacket concrete, the confinement ratio, the dowels' diameter size and the load pattern shapes were considered. The path diagrams along the interfaces elucidate the areas around the dowel bars where due to stress concentration plastic hinges and intense discontinuities are created. The stress flow also depicts the contribution of confinement of the jacketed area to the overall resonant load capacity of the core column. The scope of the research is to identify and quantify the shear transfer along the interfaces of strengthened elements.
Steel-concrete-steel (SCS) sandwich composite wall has been proposed for building and offshore constructions. An ultra-lightweight cement composite with density1380 kg/m3 and compressive strength up to 60 MPa is used as core material and inter-locking J-hook connectors are welded on the steel face plates to achieve the composite action. This paper presents the numerical models using nonlinear finite element analysis to investigate the load displacement behavior of SCS sandwich walls subjected to axial compression. The results obtained from finite element analysis are verified against the test results to establish its accuracy in predicting load-displacement curves, maximum resistance and failure modes of the sandwich walls. The studies show that the inter-locking J-hook connectors are subjected to tension force due to the lateral expansion of cement composite core under compression. This signifies the important role of the interlocking effect of J-hook connectors in preventing tensile separation of the steel face plates so that the local buckling of steel face plates is prevented.
Rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular columns with unequal wall thickness were investigated in the paper. The physical centroid, the centroidal principal axes of inertia, and the section core were given. The generalized bending formula and the generalized eccentric compression formula were deduced, and the equation of the neutral axis was also provided. The two rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular stub specimens subjected to the compression load on the physical centroid and the geometric centroid respectively were tested to verify the theoretical formulas.
To better promote the development of fabricated buildings, this paper studies the seismic behavior of precast concrete beam-column bolted joint under vertical low cyclic loading. The experimental results show that cracks appear in the beam-column joint core area. Meanwhile, the concrete and the grade 5.6 bolts are damaged and deformed, respectively. Specifically, the overall structure of the beam-column joint remains intact, and the bolts have good energy dissipation capacity. Based on the experimental study, a new method of beam-column bolted connection is proposed in simulation analysis. The simulation results show that the bolts deform in the core area of the new beam-column joint, which enhances the concrete shear capacity legitimately and protects the T-end of the beam against shear failure. To summarize, both the experimental joint and the simulated joint prolong the service life by replacing the bolts under the seismic loading. The research results provide a reference for applications of the fabricated beam-column joint.
The basic Physical properties, Slump, Slump Flow, Air content, Bleeding, and Settlement of concrete was investigated to test Characteristic of Setting and to evaluate the relation between Model Specimen and Heat of Hydration for construction under Low Temperature (CFT). The objective of this study is to take the partial core after the cementation of Model Specimen, test the compression intensity and analyze the relation to Test Piece.
Composite boundary elements with H steel sections could be used to enhance the strength and ductility of high-rise shear walls. The enhancement of earthquake resistance is expected to be achieved due to the inherent strength and ductility of the steel sections, and also due to the confinement effect to a core concrete. Experimental study were peformed for the compression zone of composite shear walls with multiple H sections at the boundaries. The effect of the steel sections on the overall behavior of the composite shear walls were investigated. Also, additional tests were conducted to investigate the contribution of H sections to the confinement of concrete.
