  • Thermal analysis of a cooling module using Peltier elements are performed using a commercial software, CFD-ACE+. A standard k-e two-equation turbulent model is applied in order to represent the turbulent shear stress. Computed values are compared with the theoretical values for the validation. The effect of mass flow rates and transferred heat amounts on the temperature distributions inside the cooling system is analyzed. It was found that the increase in the mass flow rates causes the exit temperature rise. The increase in the absorbed heat amount diminished the overall temperature on the fin surfaces. In the present analysis, the material characteristics of the Peltier element itself are not considered. In the future, the effect of the turbulence models and material characteristics will be studied in detail.

  • Temperature uniformity of a wafer in a semiconductor process is a very important factor that determines the overall yield. Therefore, it is very important to confirm the temperature characteristics of the chuck surface on which the wafer is lifted. The temperature characteristics of the chuck depend on the external heat source, the shape of the cooling channel inside the chuck, the material on the chuck surface, and so on. In this study, CFD confirms the change of temperature characteristics according to the stacking order of ceramic materials and inner coolant path on the chuck surface. Finally this study suggests the best cooling condition of electrostatic chuck.

  • In this study, we developed a simulation methodology for a technology that rapidly cools molds by directly spraying them with CO2 in its liquefied gaseous state. Initially, a simulation verification process was conducted using ANSYS Fluent's heat transfer analysis based on temperature values measured in prior research experiments, ensuring a comparable temperature could be calculated. Subsequently, the validated analysis method was employed to evaluate design factors that exert the most significant influence on cooling. An evaluation was conducted based on three factors: part thickness, mold thickness, and the melting temperature of material. Using a full factorial design approach, a total of 27 analyses were completed and subsequently calculated through analysis of means. The impact assessment was carried out based on the temperature values at the product's core. The results indicated that the thickness of the mold had the highest influence, while the melting temperature of material had the least.

  • Vulcanized natural rubber was pulverized using a single screw extruder in a non-cryogenic Solid Shear Extrusion process where rubber granulates were subjected to high compressive and shear stresses. The producted particles had diameters ranging from 40 to 1200$\{mu}m$. A principle used in this paper was developed in Russia. The development method for producing a polymeric material powder consists in compressing said material by shearing the material during a pressure increase and cooling. Consecutive breakdown is carried out by shearing the material during the pressure decrease and cooling.

  • We report on electrical and optical properties of flexible ITO electrode grown on PET substrate using a specially designed roll-to-roll facing target sputtering (R2R FTS) system at room temperature without conventional cooling drum. Due to effective confinement of high density plasma between ITO targets, we can grow a flexible ITO electrode without cooling drum at room temperature.

  • Bottom ash generated in thermoelectric power plants could be used as substitutional fine aggregate such as pearlite of fireproof mortar due to its lightweight and porosity. Development of substitutional materials is necessary because pearlite has several problems such as production of carbon dioxide during manufacturing process and high price. This study is to confirm the possibility of air cooling process bottom ash for fireproof mortar as substitutional material of pearlite through basic experiment.

  • Cooling tower is analyzed as an assembly of layered nonlinear shell elements. Geometric representation of the shell is enabled through layered nonlinear shell elements to define the different layers of reinforcements and concrete by considering the material nonlinearity of each layer for the cooling tower shell. Modal analysis using Ritz vector analysis and nonlinear time history analysis by direct integration method have been carried out to study the effects of the inclination of the supporting columns of the cooling tower shell on its dynamic characteristics. The cooling tower is supported by I-type columns and ${\Lambda}$-type columns supports having the different inclination angles. Relevant comparisons of the dynamic response of the structural system at the base level (at the junction of the column and shell), throat level and at the top of the tower have been made. Dynamic response of the cooling tower is found to be significantly sensitive to the change of the inclination of the supporting columns. It is also found that the stiffness of the structure system increases with increase in inclination angle of the supporting columns, resulting in decrease of the period of the structural system. The participation of the stiffness of the tower in structural response of the cooling tower is fund to be dependent of the change in the inclination angle and even in the types of the supporting columns.

  • The 9Cr-1Mo ferritic-martensitic ODS steel is a promising structural material for the next generation nuclear power plants including fast reactors for application in reactor vessels and nuclear fuel. The ODS steel was cooled down by furnace cooling, air cooling, oil quenching and water quenching, respectively, after normalizing it at $1150^{\circ}C$ for 1 h and then tempering at $780^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. It is found that grain size, a relative portion of ferrite and martensite, martensitic lath configuration, behaviors of carbide precipitates, and hardness of the ODS steel are strongly dependent on a cooling rate. The grain size and martensitic lath width become smaller with the increase in a cooling rate. The carbides were precipitated at the grain boundaries formed between the ferrite and martensite phases and at the martensitic lath interfaces. In addition, the carbide precipitates become smaller and more widely dispersed with the increase in a cooling rate, resulting in that the faster cooling rate generated the higher hardness of the ODS steel.

  • In this study, we used the commercial package (Unigraphics) to construct a junction box cable car when laser plastic parts have been processed using urethane resin(TSR-755) as a starting mold material. After construction, we carried out the filing, packing, cooling, and deforming analyzation using Injection Molding Analysis (Simpoe-Mold) to determine the gate positioning and automatic cooling cycle through the examination. The results show that inserting into the injection mold after processing ceramic has reduced the time of thermal conductivity of molding and cooling; and quick selection of gates and cooling lines could possibly cause an improvement of productivity.
