Performance Analysis of IEEE 802.11b under IEEE 802.15.4 Environment (IEEE 802.15.4 환경 하에서의 IEEE 802.11b의 성능 해석)

  • Coexistence of different wireless systems that share the 2.4 GHz ISM frequency band is becoming one of the most important issue. This paper presents a model of the interference that IEEE 802.11b affected by IEEE 802.15.4. The packet error rate (PER) of IEEE 802.11b under the interference of IEEE 802.15.4 is analyzed. The PER is obtained by using the bit error rate (BER) and the collision time. Further, this paper suggests a packet length to reduce the effect of the IEEE 802.15.4 interference and obtain a maximum throughput of the IEEE 802.11b. The analytical results are validated using simulation.

  • The existing self-organizing feature map of Kohonen has weakpoint that need too much input patterns in order to converse into the learning rate and equilibrium state when it trains. Making up for the current weak point, B.Bavarian suggested the method of that distributed the learning rate such as Gaussian function. However, this method has also a disadvantage which can not achieve the right self-organizing. In this paper, we proposed the method of improving the convergence speed and the convergence rate of self-organizing feature map converting the Gaussian function into dynamic approximate curve used in when trains the self-organizing feature map.

  • To the unconstrained programme of non-convex function, this article give a modified BFGS algorithm. The idea of the algorithm is to modify the approximate Hessian matrix for obtaining the descent direction and guaranteeing the efficacious of the quasi-Newton iteration pattern. We prove the global convergence properties of the algorithm associating with the general form of line search, and prove the quadratic convergence rate of the algorithm under some conditions.

  • We consider a finite difference approximation to a singular boundary value problem arising in the study of a nonlinear circular membrane under normal pressure. It is proved that the rate of convergence is $O(h^2)$. To obtain the solution of the finite difference equation, an iterative scheme converging monotonically to the solution of the finite difference equation is introduced. And the numerical experiment of this method is given.

  • Using a linear loss function, this paper considers the one-sided testing problem for the exponential distribution via the empirical Bayes(EB) approach. Based on right censored data, we propose an EB test for the exponential parameter and obtain its convergence rate and asymptotic optimality, firstly, under the condition that the censoring distribution is known and secondly, that it is unknown.

  • In [3], we showed that overintegration may be needed to obtain the optimal $H^1$ error rate for the $p$ version. In this paper, we examine the convergence of the $p$ version in practice, and comment on the implementation of the $p$ version in commercial codes. Also, we give an example of a problem with extremely rough coefficients, for which overintegration is necessary to obtain the optimal $H^1$ convergence rate.

  • In this paper we introduce the integral type Lupas-$B{\acute{e}}zier$ operator $\tilde{B}_{n,{\alpha}}$, which is a new approximation operator of probabilistic type. We study the rate of pointwise convergence of the operators $\tilde{B}_{n,{\alpha}}$ for local bounded functions and get an asymptotically estimate by means of some methods and techniques of probability theory.

  • In this paper, we introduce a Stancu type generalization of genuine LupaŞ-Beta operators of integral type. We establish some moment estimates and the direct results in terms of classical modulus of continuity, Voronovskaja-type asymptotic theorem, weighted approximation, rate of convergence and pointwise estimates using the Lipschitz type maximal function. Lastly, we propose a king type modification of these operators to obtain better estimates.

  • This paper presents the design of a new sliding mode controller to improve the rate of convergence by Lyapunov's stability analysis. The proposed controller shows that the elimination of the steady state position errors can be achieved by replacing the desired trajectory by the virtual reference trajectory. The proposed control scheme which consists of the upper bounded and estimated values of eac term of the manipulator dynamic equation does not require good knowledge of the parameters and the computation of matrix inversion. The performance of proposed controller is evaluated by the simulation for a two-link manipulator.

  • This paper concerns the rate of convergence in the multidimensional normal approximation of functional of Gaussian fields. The aim of the present work is to derive explicit upper bounds of the Kolmogorov distance for the rate of convergence instead of Wasserstein distance studied by Nourdin et al. [Ann. Inst. H. Poincar$\acute{e}$(B) Probab.Statist. 46(1) (2010) 45-98].
