  • In this paper, the service execution accuracy was compared by ontology based rule inference method and machine learning method, and the amount of data at the point when the service execution accuracy of the machine learning method becomes equal to the service execution accuracy of the rule inference was found. The rule inference, which measures service execution accuracy and service execution accuracy using accumulated data and pattern matching on service results. And then machine learning method measures service execution accuracy using cross validation data. After creating a confusion matrix and measuring the accuracy of each service execution, the inference algorithm can be selected from the results.

  • Artificial neural network has been used for damage assessment by many researchers, but there are still some barriers that must be overcome to improve its accuracy and efficiency. The major problems with the conventional neural network are the necessity of many training patterns for neural network teaming process and ambiguity in the relationship of neural network structure to the convergence of solution. In this paper, the PNN is used as a pattern classifier to detect the damages of the railway bridge using dynamic response. The comparison between the mode shape and the natural frequency of structure as training pattern is investigated for approriate selection of the training pattern in the damage detection of railway bridge using the PNN.

  • This paper aims to provide a better understanding about how Information and Communication technology (ICT) has diffused. The investigation is conducted with the consideration of ICT evolution in terms of technological change and usage pattern. The definition used is presented as 'the ICT is a process of convergence of technologies between information-processing and information-transforming technologies, mainly due to the advent of microelectronlcs'. After examining technological changes of ICT, the diffusion path of ICT is traced through the usage ratio in total input and/or investment based on Input-Output tables (I-O). It shows that the evolution of ICT from the change of usage pattern is an up-and-down usage pattern rather than a uni-modal usage time path. With this recognition, the diffusion index is prepared. • This paper examines whether there exists discrimination of the information usage pattern between tenants of permanent and temporary public rental housing in Korea. Moreover, we focus to examine on that matters between two groups, $7{\sim}12$ pyeongs and $11{\sim}24$ pyeongs that indicate permanent and temporary public rental housing respectively. The results derived in this paper can be summarized as follows: there exists statistical significance in using computer, internet, communication and broadcasting, on the other hand, insignificance in using satellite communication and telephone between them. The implication of this results shows that as widen income gap, also widen gaps in using computer and internet between them. Thus government public rental housing policy should focus to make narrow income gap to diminish information gap between those groups.

  • Organic solar cells have attracted extensive attention as a promising approach for cost-effective photovoltaic devices. However, organic solar cell has disadvantage of low power conversion efficiency in comparison with other type of solar cell, due to the recombination ratio of hole and electron is too large in the active layer. Thus we have change the surface structure of PEDOT:PSS layers to improve the current density by colloidal lithography method using various-size of polystyrene sphere. The two types of coating method were applied to fabricate the different pattern shape and height, such as spin coating and drop casting. Using the organic solvent, we easily eliminate the PS sphere and could make the varied pattern shapes by controlling the wet etching time. Also we have measured the electrical properties of patterned PEDOT:PSS film to check whether it is suitable for organic photovoltaics.

  • This paper proposed a fault diagnosis technique of induction motors winding fault based on an artificial neural network (ANN). This method used Park's vector pattern as input data of ANN. The ANN are firstly learned using this pattern, and then classify between 'healthy' and 'winding fault' (with 2, 10, and 20 shorted turn) induction motor under 0, 50, and $100\%$ load condition. Also the possibility of classification of untrained turn-fault and load condition are tested. The proposed method has been experimentally tested on a 3-phase, 1 HP squirrel-cage induction motor. The obtained results provided a high level of accuracy especially in small turn fault, and showed that it is a reliable method for industrial application

  • This study is introducing a new approach of ATInSAR hologram for modeling wave refraction spectra pattern. TOPSAR data with L$_{-HH}$ and C-vv bands utilized spatial variation of wave refraction. Based on the phase information in along track interferometry, and ATInSAR hologram the quantitative information such swell wave height and spectra energy have been modeled. The phase information in ATInSAR hologram images can be transferred to wave refraction The ATInSAR hologram can be used to investigate the wave refraction pattern along the coastal waters. The fringe information pattern was shown to be useful in modeling wave refaction spectra varaition. The hologram interferometry wave refraction model consists of two sub-models. The purpose of first sub-model is to determine the swell wave height by using ATInSAR. Second sub-model aims to generate the holographic interferometry from the information of two wave spectra which detected by ATInSAR technique. The azimuth cut-off variations along the fringe patterns will be estimated. As azimuth cut-off contains the wave height information which could be used the significant wave height variation in convergence and divergence zone.

  • Observations of neutrino oscillations are very strong evidence for the existence of neutrino masses and mixing. From recent experimental results on neutrino oscillation, we find that neutrino mixing angles are quite consistent with the so-called tri-bi-maximal mixing pattern, but the deviation from observational results is non-negligible. However, the tri-bi-maximal mixing pattern is still useful as a leading order approximation and provides a good guideline to search for the flavor symmetry in the neutrino sector. We introduce the $S_4$ permutation symmetry as a flavor symmetry to the standard model of particle physics with additional particle contents of heavy right-handed neutrinos and scalar fields. Finally, we obtain the tri-bi-maximal mixing pattern as a mixing matrix in the lepton sector within the suggested model. To derive the required unitary mixing matrix for the neutrino sector, the double seesaw mechanism is utilized.

  • Biological neurons generally have chaotic characteristics for permanent or transient period. The effects of chaotic response of biological neuron have not yet been verified by using analytical methods. Even though the transient chaos of neuron could be beneficial to overcoming the local minimum problem, the permanent chaotic response gives adverse effect on optimization problems in general. To solve optimization problems, which are needed in almost all neural network applications such as pattern recognition, identification or prediction, and control, the neuron should have one stable fixed point. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of the chaotic dynamic neuron and the condition that produces the chaotic response are analyzed, and the convergence conditions are presented.
