A Study on the Development Policy of Contents Industry in the Convergence Era: Focusing on the Evaluation of Status and Importance (융합시대 국내 콘텐츠 산업의 진흥정책 방향성 연구: 현황 및 중요도 평가를 중심으로)

  • In the media convergence era, contents industry is raising core area in the government level. This study explores directions of development policy of national contents industry. So this study performs depth interview with 10 experts and investigates delphi research with 30 experts who are specialists in digital convergence area. Following the depth interview, there are three categories in the convergence contents - technical area, human resource area, and political area. The result shows that there is discordance between importance and present status each area. This finding suggests that there is political delay in the convergence media industry. In conclusion, it is necessary to look over the current limits and inspect defects. This study implicates further directions of national contents industry.

Hybrid Atmospheric Compensation in Free-Space Optical Communication

  • Since the direct-gradient (DG) method uses the Shack-Hartmann wave front sensor (SH-WFS), based on the phase-conjugation principle, for atmospheric compensation in free-space optical (FSO) communication, it cannot effectively correct high-order aberrations. While the stochastic parallel gradient descent (SPGD) can compensate the distorted wave front, it requires more calculations, which is sometimes undesirable for an FSO system. A hybrid compensation (HC) method is proposed by properly using the DG method and SPGD algorithm to improve the performance of FSO communication. Simulations show that this method can well compensate wave-front aberrations and upgrade the coupling efficiency with few computations, preferable correction results, and rapid convergence rate.

  • Group communications are becoming popular in Internet applications such as video conferences, on-line chatting programs, games, and gambling. Secure and efficient group communication is needed for message integration, confidentiality, and system usability. However, the conventional group key agreement protocols are too much focused on minimizing the computational overhead by concentrating on generating the common group key efficiently for secure communication. As a result, the common group key is generated efficiently but a failure in authentication allows adversaries to obtain valuable information during the group communication. After achieving the secure group communication, the secure group communication should generate the group key efficiently and distribute it to group members securely, so the balance of security and system usage must be considered at the same time. Therefore, this research proposes the software architecture model of a secure and efficient group communication that will be imbedded into networking applications.

  • Convergence between telecom and broadcasting is today a worldwide phenomenon. Diverse services like VoD, mobile broadcasting, IPTV and interactive services have already made their market debut or are currently being commercialized. Regulatory systems are also being revised to appropriately regulate this new breed of services. We propose the new model of educational broadcasting system using the internet network, it is not different conventional coaxial cable methods. Especially, we design the multicast method of the network using the limited channel and resource, propose the method of intercommunication in the school between the broadcasting system and database system.

  • In this paper, a method of improving the learning speed and convergence rate is proposed to exploit the advantages of artificial neural networks and neuro-fuzzy systems. This method is applied to the XOR problem, n bit parity problem, which is used as the benchmark in the field of pattern recognition. The method is also applied to the recognition of digital image for practical image application. As a result of experiment, it does not always guarantee convergence. However, the network showed considerable improvement in learning time and has a high convergence rate. The proposed network can be extended to any number of layers. When we consider only the case of the single layer, the networks had the capability of high speed during the learning process and rapid processing on huge images.

  • This study explores the convergence of metaverse and short-form content, proposing a new approach for viewing short-form content with a vertical aspect ratio on a metaverse platform and within a virtual museum. Short-form content has gained popularity due to the snack culture and is proving to be advantageous in e-commerce. By studying the relationship between vertical ratio screens and gaze, we confirm the effectiveness of vertical ratio short-form content in providing immersive experiences and fostering sharing and communication. The proposed virtual museum offers opportunities for innovative businesses to market through fandom. This research highlights the value of vertical proportion short-form content and its significance in the convergence of metaverse and short-form content. It aims to contribute to industry development, provide new creative directions, enhance personal visual experiences, and expand applicability in related fields.

  • As the developing of the information technology, M2M market that is using communication between devices is growing rapidly and many companies are involved in M2M business. In this paper, the concept of telematics and vulnerabilities of vehicle network security are discussed. The convergence of vehicle and information technology, the development of mobile communication technology have improved quality of service that provided to user but as a result security threats has diverse. We proposed new business model that be occurred to the participation of mobile carriers in telematics business and we analyzed mobile radio communication network security vulnerabilities. We proposed smart phone and Vehicle authentication scheme with M2M device as a way to solve vulnerabilities.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse motor vehicle communication network hacking attacks and to provide its prevention. First, the definition of motor vehicle communication network was provided and types of in-vehicle communication network were discussed. Also, bluetooth hacking attack cases were analysed in order to illustrate dangers of hacking attacks. Based on the analysis, two preventive measures were provided. First, Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Law should be revised. Although the law provides the definition of electronic control system and its standards as well as manufacturing and maintenance for safe driving standards, the law does not have standards for electronic control system hacking prevention and defensive security programs or firmware. Second, to protect motor vehicle communication network, it is necessary to create new laws for motor vehicle communication network protection.

  • This study is a convergence study attempted to understand the learning effects of oral health education class applying action learning on the communication ability and problem-solving ability in dental hygiene students. The subjects of this study were 37 students in the third year of dental hygiene department. As a result, the learning effects of oral health education class applying action learning on the communication ability(p<0.001) and problem-solving ability(p<0.001) showed positive changes in the pre and post comparison. The changes in the scores of sub-dimensions of the communication ability and problem-solving ability were also significant in the pre and post comparison. As the class applying action learning is effective in improving the learner's communication ability and problem-solving ability, it should be utilized as the leaner participation-oriented teaching method for design and operation of dental hygiene education.
