  • Recently, as the management environments are changing rapidly and the uncertainty is becoming larger, the needs of internal control for management and IS become stronger. In order to construct a new internal control system for IS, it is necessary to evaluate the former research of the system. This study emphasizes the importance of effective internal control system, presents a conceptual framework for the preceding factors to consider, and verifies empirically the framework. This study sets the organization citizenship behavior, IS innovation resistance, and IT capability from the viewpoint of Socio-Technical system as the preceding factors for the effectiveness of internal control system. A research model, affecting the above factors on IS capability as a mediating variable of the internal control effectiveness for the use of IS, is set up. PLS-Graph 3.0 is used to verify the model. We found that the internal control effectiveness have affirmative effect on information capability, a surrogate variable of the IS effectiveness and a mediation effect is meaningful.

  • The present automated manufacturing environment is very different when the classical statistical process control method based on batch processing were used. Therefore these must be replaced by automated statistical process control method. In this point of view, this paper intends to develop the automated statistical process control method which can be implemented in the present automated manufacturing environment. Specially this study developed the rules to identify the special causes of the manufacturing process in the aspect of the 100 PPM management, and a numerical example is demonstrated to verify the usefulness of these rules.

  • Autonomous Station Control System is automatic route control system of large-scale station. The system has flexibility of system step-by-step construction and expandability. A method of step-by-step construction for Autonomous Station Control System has system expansion and subsystem software expansion. The system has autonomous controllability and autonomous coordinability for system step by step construction. With property for a basis, each of subsystem communicates data field. Also, Each subsystem has its own management system, Autonomous Data Manager to manage itself and coordinate with the others. This paper make clear test method for Autonomous Station Control System expansion and software expansion. The first test method of system increasing construction is single station construction test. The second of method is connecting test the neighbor's Autonomous Station Control System. The third of method is connecting test the Autonomous Line Management System. Also, the test method of software expansion take the case of route control subsystem.

  • This paper presents the case study of the CE by collaborative system and proposes a model of the CM group for the cable supported bridge. The cable supported bridges have a large project scale and need a high level of construction method. Therefore an advanced construction management system is required for successful completion of project. The construction management (CM) group which control design management, construction plan, subcontract, technical support and R&D is organized for the cable supported bridge project. The CM group established a collaborative system with construction site and drew an effective management of cost, process, quality, safety for each project. Furthermore, the CM group established the procedure of construction management based on the construction engineering (CE) items and performed the project management on the construction phase. Efficiency of cost reduction and site control is maximized by using a collaborative system.

  • In this study, we investigated the modeling and design of an Intelligent Agent System (IAS). To achieve this goal, we introduced several kinds of agents that exhibit intelligent features. These are the main agent, management agent, watcher agent, report agent and application agent. We applied the intelligent agent concept to two different application fields, i.e. the intelligent agent system for pattern classification and the intelligent agent system for bank asset management modeling.

  • The introduction of client server systems raises some serious IS control concerns. Although client server systems increase system flexibility and compatibility, and facilitates system downsizing and process restructuring, multiple operating systems, database management systems, and platforms of client-server system increase th potential exposures and risks of the system. It is needed to recommend the effective control framework to mitigate risks. This paper suggests risks and control framework for client server system. The results of two case studies indicate that program and database management are important as program and data should be located and maintained in client and servers. It becomes difficult to manage divided programs and data logic that are distributed across clients and servers that have different platforms. The case studies of two banks show that the extent of distribution of program and data logic affects the importance of program and database management controls.

  • As livestock farms grow in size, the number of breeding individuals increases, making it difficult to manage livestock. Livestock farms require an integrated management system such as a monitoring system, an access control system, and an abnormal behavior detection system to manage livestock houses. In this paper, a smart korean cattle livestock management system using IoT and AI technology was proposed for livestock management in livestock farms. The smart korean cattle farm management system consists of a monitoring and control system, a vehicle access management system, and an abnormal cattle behavior detection system. It is expected that this will help manage large-scale livestock houses, and additional research is needed to improve the performance of abnormal behavior detection in the future.

  • This paper is aimed to analyze how to evaluate the choice of optimal management measures and level of control in fisheries management under the costly and imperfect management system by comparing with costless and perfect management system that is commonly assumed in the analysis of fisheries regulations. Fishermen would set the level of fishing efforts at the point where the marginal fishing profit for fishing effort is equal to the marginal level of fine under costly and imperfect management system. Therefore, under the case where the marginal fishing profit is higher than the marginal level of fine, the level of fishing efforts would be made at the point which is higher than the level of fishing efforts made under costless and perfect management system and is not a point where the economic profit is maximized in regulated fisheries. From this conclusion, the fishermens avoidance activities against regulations as well as the level of control in fisheries management substantially have an influence on the choice of fisheries management instruments. According to the analysis of optimal fisheries management policy, the economic profits in regulated fisheries are determined by the level of fisheries enforcement costs and total fishing profits, in which as enforcement costs increase the economic profits decrease. In addition, the economic profits vary in response to the level of control in avoidance activities. That is, as avoidance costs decrease, the economic profits increase. The determination of optimal level of control in fisheries management should be made at the point where the marginal regulation costs are equal to the marginal profits from regulated fisheries, in which marginal regulation costs are different according to the type of management measures. And the level of profits changes in response to different levels of avoidance activities. The management measure that can maximize the difference between the marginal regulation costs and marginal profits from regulated fisheries should be chosen as an optimal fisheries management instrument.
