The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between decision making abilities young children and their self-directed learning abilities. A survey was carried out using 160 young children in the J region. The collected data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and multiple regression techniques using the SPSS statistics program. The conclusions are as follows : First, decision making abilities in young children exhibited a positive correlation with their self-directed learning abilities. Second, decision making abilities in young children were an influential variable in terms of their self-directed learning abilities. As a result, decision making abilities in young children were an important variable in predicting their self-directed learning abilities.
This thesis looks closely at the moderating effect of individual variables while we analyzed how corporate's ethics policies have influence on his ethical decision-making behaviors. The subjects of the research were full-time employees (n=211) in the Seoul metropolitan region. The research model was substantiated through statistical analysis of credibility and validity, correlation, variance, and moderated regression analysis (MRA). This study found that within an organization with a code of ethics, the level of enforcement of the code and the level of employee awareness of core values sought by the company determined the level of influence of the code on ethical decision making. In other words, internal factors exerted a greater influence than external evaluation of a corporation's ethical decision making practices and therefore, it is necessary for decision-making practices to be transparent and recognized by the members within an organization. The study also found that the employee's awareness about the long-term visions of the company at a higher level and the employees who have a locus of control to their members internally acted as independent variables as well as control variables on the ethical decision-making. In addition, there were great differences in the level of ethical decision-making among the variables used as controls, which means these differences were related to the individual variables. Accordingly, in order to get ethical decision-making practices at a higher level, a education & training program will be designed and implemented variously as considering on the particular characteristics of the control variables we used in this study.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of decentralization, participation in decision making, job satisfaction on organizational commitment among hospital nurse managers. Method: The data were derived from the self-reported questionnaire responses of 198 nurse managers from January to March, 2006 at four general hospitals over 900 beds in Seoul and Gyungi province and analyzed by frequency and percentage, t-test, ANOVA and Sheffe's test and stepwise multiple regression. Result: Mean of decentralization was 3.53${\pm}$0.52, participation in decision making was 5.04${\pm}$0.83, job satisfaction 3.54${\pm}$0.48, and organizational commitment was 5.30${\pm}$0.76. There were significant differences between participation in decision-making and career of manager, field of practice, span of control, especially in staffing decision. A significant correlation was found between organizational commitment and decentralization (r=.22, p<.001), participation in decision making (r=.40, p<.001), job satisfaction (r=.64, p<.001). The job satisfaction has the highest significant predictor of organizational commitment ($R^2$=43%). Conclusions: Nursing managers' job satisfaction and organizational commitment will be promoted by granting participation in decision-making.
This paper presents a fuzzy-goal programming(FGP) approach for Bi-Level Linear Multiple Objective Decision Making(BLL-MODM) problem in a large hierarchical decision making and planning organization. The proposed approach combines the attractive features of both fuzzy set theory and goal programming(GP) for MODM problem. The GP problem has been developed by fixing the weights and aspiration levels for generating pareto-optimal(satisfactory) solution at each level for BLL-MODM problem. The higher level decision maker(HLDM) provides the preferred values of decision vector under his control and bounds of his objective function to direct the lower level decision maker(LLDM) to search for his solution in the right direction. Illustrative numerical example is provided to demonstrate the proposed approach.
Objectives: The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of shared-decision making on patient satisfaction. The study is significant since it focuses on developing appropriate methodologies and analyzing data to identify patient preferences, with the goals of optimizing treatment selection, and substantiating the relationship between such preferences and their impact on outcomes. Methods: A thorough literature review that developed the framework illustrating key dimensions of shared decision making was followed by a quantitative assessment and regression analysis of patient-perceived satisfaction, and the degree of shared-decision making. Results: A positive association was evident between shared-decision making and patient satisfaction. The impact of shared decision making on patient satisfaction was greater than other variable including gender, education, and number of visits. Conclusions: Patients who participate in care-related decisions and who are given an explanation of their health problems are more likely to be satisfied with their care. It would benefit health care organizations to train their medical professionals in this communication method, and to include it in their practice guidelines.

Coordination between supply chain partners is viewed critical to effective supply chain management. In many situations such as mutual investments or developing infrastructures for their operations related with each other, the coordination issue arises. Depending on the bargaining power balance between them, it is determined who will be able to exert more influence in making decisions related with such coordination. We consider two cases of the decision-making structure in the context of a simple supply chain consisting of two players, i.e., (1) the first case in which a supply chain partner dominates the decision-making process and the other passively follows the dominant player's decision, and (2) the other case in which the two players share the decision-making process equally. We examine which of the cases is better for the companies and where comes the value of the better case. To answer the research questions, we set up an optimal control theory model and derive an analytical solution. The analysis outcome indicates that the shared decision-making in general produces better results for both companies in the supply chain, and the value of the shared decision-making comes from more effective resource utilization than the dominated case.

Purpose: This study was conducted to test the effect of a Career Search Program on career search efficacy, career search behavior, and career decision making for nursing students. Methods: A non-equivalent pre-post test of a quasi-experimental design was used. Fifty first grade nursing students participated in the study with 22 in the experimental group and 28 in the control group. We used a Career Search Program which was held 6 times over 6 weeks, 90 minutes per session. Descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, and independent t-test were used for statistical analysis with SPSS 19.0. Results: There were significant increases in career search efficacy (t=2.07, p=.044) and career search behavior(t=2.65, p=.011) in the experimental group compared to the control group. However, career decision making was not significantly changed (t=0.96, p=.342). Conclusion: These results suggest that a Career grade Search Program has an effect on increasing career search efficacy and career search behavior in first grade nursing students. In addition, more programs to impact career decision making should be developed for nursing college students.
Purpose: This study was to examine the effect of career group counseling program using cinema for the improving self identity and career decision-making self-efficacy of adolescents on probation. This study was conducted to examine the effects of awareness of infection control, career decision making self efficacy and critical thinking disposition on the performance of infection control among nursing students. The study subjects were 404 third and fourth year nursing students at 4 colleges in D and K cities. The data were collected from November 5 to December 21, 2018 by using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS WIN 17.0 program to conduct descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, post-hoc Duncan's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. The average score of awareness of infection control was 4.75 points, career decision making self efficacy was 3.02 points, critical thinking disposition was 4.73 points and performance of infection control was 4.46 points. Performance of infection control was positively influenced by age, awareness of infection control and career decision making self efficacy. The explanatory power of the model was 38.6%. Therefore, these results imply the need to develop an education program to improve the awareness of infection control and career decision making self efficacy, which will enhance the performance of infection control of nursing students.
