능동형 커넥티드 카를 위한 IoT기반 원격제어 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of IoT based Remote Control System for Active Connected Cars)

  • This paper proposes a monitoring and remote control system, an essential part of In Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) and Human Vehicle Interface (HVI) to provide safety and convenience to a driver. The system utilizes Bluetooth for a short range communication and utilizes WCDMA for a long range communication to enhance efficiency. In this paper, an integrated controller, which integrates a CAN communication module, a Bluetooth communication module, a WCDMA communication module, is designed to control a car. Also, a remote server for managing data is designed to provide real-time monitoring and remote control for a user via smart devices. Experiment results show that all the proposed remote control, driving log, real-time monitoring, and diagnostics functions are working properly. With the proposed system, a driver can drive safely by monitoring and inspecting a car before driving via smart devices, and control conveniently by controlling a car remotely.

해인사의 흰개미 모니터링 및 방제 방안 (Monitoring of Termite in Haeinsa Temple and Control method)

  • There are several methods of pest control for the prevention of wooden cultural properties from damages caused by insects, especially termites. Those are as follows; physical control, chemical control, biological control, and integrated pest management. In Korea, we primarily use mvestigation of monitoring, fumigation, treatment of insecticidal and antiseptic chemicals, soil termiticide treatment, and termite colony elimination system. As damages by termites were detected at Eunghyanggak and Saundang of Haeinsa temple in June, 1998, we carried out monitoring with wooden device, in order to investigate damages of wooden building by termite and paths of termite invasion. According to the result of investigation of monitoring from1999 to 2002, we found that termites were inhabiting continually at forests around Haeinsa and that wooden buildings such as Saundang, Cheonghwadang were damaged by termites. So we thought that control methods such as soil termiticide treatment and termite colony elimination system would be effective. Especially, to investigate efficacy of termite colony elimination system, we carried out efficacy test of termite colony elimination system in Jongmyo during 17 months(2000.7.~2001.11.). The result of efficacy test showed that termite colony elimination system eliminated termite colonies gradually(over 12 months from installation of colony elimination system to elimination of termite colony).

상수도관망 시스템의 부식제어를 위한 수질모니터링 (Water Quality Monitoring for Corrosion Control in Waterworks System)

  • In existing systems, the best method inhibiting corrosion control in water distribution systems is to reduce water corrosiveness. Water corrosion can be decreased by controlling water quality through simple water treatment in treatment plants. On this research, we study the characteristics of tab water qualities in domestic areas, assessment of corrosive water quality and the method of water quality monitoring. This review presents the method of water quality monitoring which is the most applicable. Monitoring for corrosion control in waterworks system is the most proper method; It can prevent serious accidents economically and reduce civil appeals. Surely we should assess corrosive water quality in tab water, and introduce water treatment methods to control corrosive water quality before monitoring for corrosion. According to a lot of researches, it has been proved that simple water treatments can reduce the pipe corrosion. In this review we should indicate that we do not control of the corrosive water quality due to domestic conditions, we should monitor the water quality basically. Therefore, we recognize how the existing water quality can cause problems on pipeline corrosion, how to deal with it. Then it will be possible to apply water quality monitoring for corrosion control in water distribution system. Monitoring for corrosion control can be expressed by LI index, it is already known in literatures. This review presents more simple method than existing methods than existing ones we expect to apply these methods to SCADA in the future.

  • 사이버 보안을 위한 활동인 '위험관리(Risk management)'와 '보안관제(security monitoring)' 업무는 미래에 발생할 보안 위협에 대비하고 보안 사고를 최소화 하는 활동이라는 점에서 깊은 상관관계를 가지고 있다. 또한 위험관리와 보안관제 분야 모두 관리자에게 시각적으로 그 정보자산에 대한 위협을 보여주는 패턴 모델을 적용하는 것이 효과적이다. 검증받은 패턴모델로는 전통적인 품질관리 분야에서 오랫동안 사용되어온 '관리도'(control chart)모델이 존재하지만 정보시스템의 사이버 위험관리와 보안관제에서의 활용은 부족하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 위험관리와 보안관제 시스템을 통합한 사이버 SRM(Security Risk Monitoring)시스템을 설계하였다. SRM은 '관리도'의 패턴을 이용한 '보안대책' (security control)의 적용 전략을 제시한다. 보안대책은 기존의 표준화된 보안대책 집합인 ISMS, NIST SP 800-53, CC를 통합적으로 적용하였다. 이를 활용하여 2014~2018년 까지 4년간 우리나라사이버위기 경보동향을 분석하였고 이는 향후 보다 유연한 보안대책 수립을 가능하게 한다.

LabView를 이용한 실시간 온실 모니터링 및 원격 제어 (Real-Time Remote Greenhouse Monitoring and Control Using LabView)

  • 최근에는 웹(Web)을 기반으로 하여 여러 분야에 적용되는 원격 감시, 자동화 제어 시스템 등의 개발에 관한 연구가 활발히 전개되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 자동화 시스템에 원격 제어 기술을 추가하였다. 오류의 수정과 적용이 쉬운 LabView 그래픽컬 언어를 사용하여 멀티미디어 데이터 처리, 일반적인 통신망(TCP/IP)상의 확장성을 고려한 실시간 모니터링 및 원격 제어를 위한 방법을 제안하고, 온실 환경 제어 시스템에 적용하였다. 적용 결과는 온실의 제어 상황을 원격으로 제어 및 감시하는데 매우 효율적인 것으로 평가되었다.

  • In this study, a wire/wireless communication system transmitting the operation data of engine from the ER (Engine Room) to the engine controller of ECR(Engine Control Room) has been developed through the communication of ISM(Industrial Science Medical) Band for the test operation environment improvement of medium speed engine. This wire/wireless communication system is composed of the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) gathering and transmitting engine data as well as the MCU (Master Control Unit) receiving engine status information from the RTU to be sent to the engine controller (PLC). Through this study, a trial product of RTU and MCU has been manufactured. A test bench that has made temperature, pressure and pick-up sensor into a module for the local test of prototype was produced a test bench. In addition, at the same time save the data to a Web server and the smart phone real-time monitoring system has been developed using Wi-Fi communications. The ultimate objective of this study is to develop a wireless smart phone monitoring system of engine for the operator of engine to be able to monitor and control engine status even from the outside of engine room and control room based on this study.

  • Recently, the advanced countries are using the corrosion monitoring system in a chemical plant and an oil tank in order to protect the corrosion because it leads to a big accident, pollution of soil. and lose of money Generally. the owners of the facilities adopt CP(Cathodic Protection) systems to protect the corrosion also. However, a CP system for oil tank was not considered in Korea Moreover they didn't adopted a corrosion monitoring system. In this paper, we have been developed not only the remote automatic corrosion monitoring but also the remote corrosion control system using the high efficiency CP rectifier. This results should be used to operate the CP system effectively and economically. And also it will be possible to extend the expectation life of the Oil tanks.

  • This paper presents monitoring system for 750kW-class DFIG wind turbine generator system and an architecture for applying standardized communication, IEC61400-25. Monitoring and control system is consists of wind turbine PLC, Local and Remote I/O Server, HMI. and Web-server. Proposed System has been demonstrated in Daegi-ri, Kangwon-do, which aims to test local and/or remote monitoring and control system and evaluate the performance of 750kW-class WTS. Finally we described the design of logical nodes and services based on IEC61400-25 and its application scheme.

An Intelligent bridge with an advanced monitoring system and smart control techniques

  • This paper introduces an approach to the realization of an ICT-based bridge remote monitoring system that enables real-time monitoring and controlled adjustments for unexpected heavy loads and also for damaging earthquakes or typhoons. In this paper, an integrated bridge remote monitoring system called the "Intelligent Bridge", which consists of a stand-alone monitoring system (SMS) and a web-based Internet monitoring system(IMS), was developed for not only bridge maintenance but also as an application for a para-stressing bridge system. To verify the possibility of controlling the actual structural performance of an "Intelligent Bridge", a model 2-span continuous cable-stayed bridge with adjustable cables was constructed. The experimental results demonstrate that the implemented monitoring system supplies detailed and accurate information about bridge behaviour for further evaluation and diagnosis, and it also opens up prospects for future application of a web-based remote system to actually adjust in-service bridges under field conditions.

무선 센서 네트워크 기반 소규모 풍력발전기 모니터링 및 제어 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Small-Scale Wind Turbine Monitoring and Control System Based on Wireless Sensor Network)

  • 최근 신재생 에너지 중 각광을 받고 있는 풍력 발전의 경우 경제성 및 효율성을 높이기 위하여 대부분의 풍력 발전단지들이 해상에 조성된다. 그러나 풍력단지 관리자가 해상에 설치된 풍력발전기에 접근하기 위해서는 헬기 또는 보트를 이용해야하며 많은 비용과 시간을 필요로 한다. 이러한 유지 및 관리 비용을 감소시키기 위한 하나의 대안으로써 풍력발전기의 원격 모니터링 및 제어 기술이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 풍력발전기의 상태 정보 계측 및 원격 제어 기능을 제공하는 무선 센서 네트워크 기반의 풍력발전기 모니터링 및 제어 시스템을 구현한다. 이를 위해 다수의 센서를 풍력발전기에 설치하여 실시간으로 상태를 계측할 수 있도록 하고 제어 장치를 통해 원격 제어가 가능하도록 한다. 풍력발전기의 센서 장치 및 제어 장치는 무선 센서 네트워크를 통해 제어 센터와 계측 데이터 및 제어 데이터를 주고받도록 한다. 제어 센터에서는 GUI 기반의 모니터링과 제어 기능을 제공하는 중앙 집중형 모니터링 프로그램을 통해 풍력발전기를 관리한다. 또한 제어 센터 이외의 지역에서 원격으로 풍력발전기 모니터링이 가능하도록 스마트 단말기 기반의 웹 프로그램을 구현한다.
