Measurement of fabric hand feeling by scanning fiber whisker with PSD

  • Fabric hand feeling is an important property used in apparel industry. This paper shows a sensing method to output a fiber whisker's stick slip vibration by scanning it on the fabric. Then the vibration waveforms are transformed to the Symmetrized Dot Pattern images. Experimental results show that SDP images of fiber whisker's stik slip is potentially useful to the detection of fabric hand feeling values.

  • This paper presents an approach to detect the dielectric condition of FRP Hot Stick in EHV high voltage cable whereas shutting down the power system is not necessary. The radio frequency generating method is adopted by transmitting radio wave into the Electrodes. This instrument is small, easy to use and also inexpensive. Furthermore, the impurity level of dirt on high voltage insulator (non-ceramic type) will be analyzed by using the methods based on IEEE Std.978-1984 at 105 kV.DC. /305 mm. and OSHA Regulation 1910.269 Part J - live line tools. The frequency at 10-20 MHz is applied to FRP Hot Stick via Electrode1 and from FRP Hot Stick surface to Electrode 2. After that the results will be evaluated by testing in each condition of FRP Hot Stick, such as dry surface, hot surface, foil winding and conductor inserting. Finally, the watt loss will be examined and compared with the loss from humidity and Carbon tracking. The important components of this system are radio frequency generating unit, frequency stabilizing unit, frequency amplifier, FRP Hot Stick frequency counter, processing unit, and display unit.

가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘의 UI 디자인 연구 (A Study on the UI Design of Stick-type Intergrated Remote Controller for Domestic Use)

  • 이 연구는 가정에서 그 중요성이 증가하고 있는 통합리모콘을 좀 더 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 디자인하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 방법으로 대중성 있는 기존 제품의 UI체계를 통합리모콘의 UI체계로 적용하여 학습이 용이하고 사용성이 향상된 가정용 통합리모콘 UI디자인 대안을 개발하고 그 사용 용이성을 평가하는 연구를 진행하였다. 기존의 대중성 있는 제품으로는 UI디자인 개발 대상인 스틱형 통합리모콘과 사용방법이 유사한 휴대폰을 선정하였다. 선정한 휴대폰 UI의 공통적 특성을 도출하여 그 내용을 최대한 적용한 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘의 디자인 안을 제작하였다. 플래시로 제작한 이 디자인 대안의 프로토타입으로 2회의 파일럿 테스트를 실시하여 최종 실험연구용 프로토타입 제작과 관련된 개선내용을 추출 하였다. 그리고 물리적인 조작, 피드백 측면에서의 사용 실제감을 보완한 버튼 프로토타입을 제작하여, 20대 대학생 41명을 대상으로 개발된 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘의 새로운 UI디자인에 대한 사용성 평가를 진행하였다. 실험 결과 대중성 있는 기존 제품의 UI를 활용한 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘은 사용성 향상에 기여할 수 있는 것으로 나타났으며 이 연구내용은 향후 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘의 새로운 UI디자인 개발 연구의 좋은 모델이 될 수 있다고 판단된다.

  • The objective of this study is to analyze customer needs for the configuration of an aircraft cockpit layout of a single piston propeller aircraft. From the result of survey, we figure out the demand of the potential customers. We consider control stick and instrument out of several items to determine which pay for the aircraft or not. We analyze types and features of the aircraft control stick and the instrument which are equipped in the same aircraft in order to figure out what is best needed through a market survey and a questionnaire survey.

  • This paper describes a liner state-space model for a flexible stick balencer. The method employed to generate the model utilizes a separable formulation of assumed modes to represents the transverse displacement due to bending Lagrangian dynamics are applied to determine the kinetic and potential energies for the system. The resultant dynamic equations are then organized into a state space model and linearized using Taylor series expansion method. A minimum order observer is designed to estimate unmeasurable states.

정밀 직선구동 액츄어에이터의 스틱슬립 마찰 모형화 및 성능특성 비교 (Stick-slip Friction Modeling and Performance Comparison of a Precise Linear Actuator)

  • In general, precise linear actuators using piezoelectric element are driven by friction force. Exact understanding of friction plays an important role in analysis and control of a motor. In this research, we designed a precise linear actuator using piezoelectric elements and observed its dynamic characteristics. By varying phase angle difference and amplitudes of the sinusoidal waves that are driving inputs, we can know that it is possible to control moving direction and distance of the slider. As preload is increased, its moving distance is decreased. And also, we have modeled a precise linear actuator using stick slip friction models such as classical, Karnopp. and reset integrator. Finally, by comparing the results of simulation and experiment, it was verified that the model is well designed.

CNC 머시닝센터의 정밀도 향상을 위한 반복학습제어 (An Iterative Learning Control for the Precision Improvement of a CNC Machining center)

  • We made a counter to measure the output of motor encoders for the motion error analysis of a CNC machining center, and have measured the dynamic characteristics and the position errors experimentally. Especially, we measured the radius errors for different feedrates and different radii when the CNC machining center performed a circular interpolation. We have also used an iterative learning method to reduce the radius errors and stick motion errors generated by the CNC machining center performing a circular interpolation. The results show that the proposed learning scheme can reduce the radius error and stick motion error significantly. The reduction of errors becomes more pronounced for higher feedrate and smaller radius.

  • This paper develops a control method that is composed of the proportional control algorithm and the learning algorithm based on the recurrent neural networks (RNN) for the position control of a pneumatic rodless cylinder. The proportional control algorithm is suggested for the modeled pneumatic system, which is obtained easily simplifying the system, and the RNN is suggested for the compensation of the modeling errors and uncertainties of the pneumatic system. In the proportional control, two zones are suggested in the phase plane. One is the transient zone for the smooth tracking and the other is the small movement zone for the accurate position control with eliminating the stick-slip phenomenon. The RNN is connected in parallel with the proportional control for the compensation of modeling errors and frictions, compressibilities, and parameter uncertainties in the pneumatic control system. This paper experimentally verifies the feasibility of the proposed control algorithm for such pneumatic systems.

  • This paper proposes a methodology for the small-displacement-movement of a piston and develops a hybrid control algorithm for the precision position control of a pneumatic rodless cylinder. The pneumatic system uses the voltage-proportional solenoid valves to minimum valve switching since the on/off type valves are create diffculties for accurate position control and induce a lot of valve switching. For the accurate position control a methodology for the small-displacement-movement of the piston is developed and identified experimentally. The main consideration on the development of the hybrid control law is to eliminate a stick-slip phenomenon in the pneumatic control system. This paper addresses these critical issues and presents experimental results for the pneumatic control system.

마찰보상을 통한 서어보제어계의 정밀 안정화 제어 (Precision Stabilization Control of Servo-system by Using Friction Compensation)

  • This paper presents a stabilization control designed to improve position stabilization performance of a position servo-system(turret) mounted on a manuvering platform(vehicle). In the consideration of the motion of the platform, a dynamic model of the stabilization system is derived and shows the viscous and stick-slip friction torques are the major source of stabilization errors. An extended generalized minimum variance control which consists of a feedforward disturbance compensation as well as a pole placement feedback control is suggested to reduce the stabilization errors caused from the friction disturbances. This modeling and control are applied to a small experimental set-up and the experimental results confirm the accuracy of the model and the effectiveness of the suggested control.
