무선 LAN MAC 계층 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of MAC Protocol for Wireless LAN)

  • This paper describes a high speed MAC(Media Access Control) function chip for IEEE 802.11 MAC layer protocol. The MAC chip has control registers and interrupt scheme for interface with CPU and deals with transmission/reception of data as a unit of frame. The developed MAC chip is composed of protocol control block, transmission block, and reception block which supports the BCF function in IEEE 802.11 specification. The test suite which is adopted in order to verify operation of the MAC chip includes various functions, such as RTS-CTS frame exchange procedure, correct IFS(Inter Frame Space)timing, access procedure, random backoff procedure, retransmission procedure, fragmented frame transmission/reception procedure, duplicate reception frame detection, NAV(Network Allocation Vector), reception error processing, broadcast frame transmission/reception procedure, beacon frame transmission/reception procedure, and transmission/reception FIEO operation. By using this technique, it is possible to reduce the load of CPU and firmware size in high speed wireless LAN system.

  • PID control is windely used to control stable processes, however, its application to integrating processes is less common. In this paper, we proposed a simple PID controller tuning method for integrating processes with time delay to meet a sensitive function $M_s$. With the proposed PID tuning method, we can obtain stable integrating processes using PD controller in inner feedback loop and a loop transfer function with desired stable specification. This guarantees both robustness and performance. Simulation examples are given to show the good performance of the proposed tuning method to other methods.

  • 40% 축소형 스마트 무인기의 자율비행을 위한 자세 및 자세각속도 제어기를 설계하였다. 19개 설계점에서 축약된 시스템 운동방정식을 유도하였다. 운동방정식으로부터 설계요구 조건인 시간 응답을 만족 할 수 있는 제어기 이득을 해석적인 방법으로 선정하였다. 각 설계 점마다 구동기 및 통신 시간 지연을 고려한 안정도 여유를 구하였다 또한, 슬라이딩 모드 제어이론을 적용한 강건 제어기를 설계하여 선형 제어기와 성능 비교를 하였다. 설계된 제어기를 비선형 모델에 적용한 응답 결과로부터 제어 로직의 성능 및 적용 가능성을 평가하였다.

애니메이션 공간에서의 제어의 통한 동작 생성 (Motion Control on Animation Space)

  • This paper presents a new methodology for specification and control of the motion of an articulated rigid body for the purposes of animation by coordinate transformations. The approach is to formulate the problem as a coordinate transformation from the joint space of the body to a user-defined animation space which is chosen for convenience in constraining the motion. Constraints are applied to the resulting coordinate transformation equations. It is sufficiently general so that it can be applied to all common types of control problems, including closed loop as well as open loop mechanisms. We also provided a new approach to simulate a closed loop mechanism, which is using animation space transformation technique. The method is formulated in detail and is demonstrated by animating the motion of an inchworm.

  • This paper presents a one digital controller two topology PWM DC-DC converter that controls, simultaneously, the separate Buck converter and boost converter with the different specification by using an inexpensive and efficient 8 bit micro-controller. One timer interrupt is used for the detection of output feedback voltage, and other two timer interrupts are used for the generation of PWM waveform for Buck and Boost converter. The control characteristics of one digital controller two topology PWM DC-DC converter is validated by experimental results.

  • 근래에 허가되지 않은 사용자로부터 공유된 자원에 대한 불법적인 접근이 빈번하게 이루어지고 있다. 접근 제어는 허가되지 않은 사용자가 컴퓨터 자원, 정보 자원 그리고 통신 자원을 이용하지 못하게 제어하는 것이며, 이처럼 허가받지 않은 사용자가 시스템 자원에 접근하는 것을 막는 것은 정보 보호에서 중요한 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 접근 제어 정책 중의 하나인 강제적 접근 제어 메커니즘을 대상으로 TCSEC 보안 등급 B2 수준에 근접하는 보호 프로파일을 작성하였다. 본 연구 결과로 작성된 보호 프로 파일은 정보 보호 시스템을 평가하는데 있어서 유용한 자료로 사용될 수 있다.

  • It requires different safety programs from those of the typical train control systems to develop AGT systems applying train control system based on communication technology. Especially Advanced LRT system involves the processes that have the various safety functions being conducted by softwares and also have characteristics that should have special interest in validation of interface specification. The core items for the safety engineering for LRT control systems are hardware & software engineering, safety-critical system safety engineering, application software validation & verification technologies. In this paper the trends of the technologies for the mentioned core-items are described.

Performance Analysis of the GPS Antenna for Satellite Launch Vehicles under the Hot -Temperature Environment

  • In order to use a GPS antenna for launch vehicles, it should be installed on the skin of the vehicle and be able to normally receive the live GPS signals during the vehicle's full flight mission. The GPS antenna on the surface of the launch vehicle is, however, exposed to higher temperature than inner equipments of the vehicle due to aerodynamic heating generated during the flight. Test specification of the GPS antenna for qualification of hot-temperature is determined to $+95^{\circ}C$ that is higher than inner components by $25^{\circ}C$. Test results in this paper show that the GPS antenna normally operates under the above environment.

  • This paper presents a multi output converter system that controls, simultaneously, the separate buck converter and boost converter with the different specification by one digital controller using fuzzy algorithm. As two separate converters are regulated by only one DSP, it is possible to achieve the simple digital control circuit for regulating multi output DC-DC converter. Inference procedure of fuzzy controller is included. The control characteristics of each PWM DC-DC converter is validated by experimental results.

  • The paper proposes a simulation model of grid-connected photovoltaic generation system (PV system) using on PSCAD/EMTDC, a reliable power system and apparatus transient analysis program. A equivalent circuit model of a solar cell is used for modeling solar array. A series of parameters required for array modeling are deduced from general specification data of a solar module. A PWM voltage source inverter (VSI) model is presented and current control scheme is implemented for VSI control. A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is applied for controlling the PV system. Simulation case study provides V-I and V-P characteristics of solar array and PV system control performance for irradiation changes.
