The modeling and control design schemes are developed for maglev systems with a combined lift and guidance. First, bond graph techniques are applied for modeling these multi-energy domain systems more logically and systematically. And the stability loop via pole placement and the performance loop via loop-shaping LQ control are designed. The suggested controller satisfies the required characteristics of stability and performance simultaneously. Finally, the robustness of the synthesized maglev control system is evaluated for the variations of air gap and vehicle mass through computer simulation.
For grid-connected LCL-filtered inverters, dual-loop current control with an inner-loop active damping (AD) based on capacitor current feedback is generally used for the sake of current quality. However, existing studies on capacitor current feedback AD with a control delay do not reveal the mathematical relation among the dual-loop stability, capacitor current feedback factor, delay time and LCL parameters. The robustness was not investigated through mathematical derivations. Thus, this paper aims to provide a systematic study of dual-loop current control in a digitally-controlled inverter. At first, the stable region of the inner-loop AD is derived. Then, the dual-loop stability and robustness are analyzed by mathematical derivations when the inner-loop AD is stable and unstable. Robust design principles for the inner-loop AD feedback factor and the outer-loop current controller are derived. Most importantly, ensuring the stability of the inner-loop AD is critical for achieving high robustness against a large grid impedance. Then, several improved approaches are proposed and synthesized. The limitations and benefits of all of the approaches are identified to help engineers apply capacitor current feedback AD in practice.
This paper presents a new method of designing digital controller based on closed-loop identification of a pulse width modulation (PWM) converter system. We consider the control system structure which is composed of both current control loop and voltage control loop. The current controller can be designed independently of voltage loop. Whereas voltage controller can not do easily due to the PWM switching component which is nonlinear in nature. Furthermore, the control objective of inner loop is to track the sine wave of 60 Hz, but the outer loop shall maintain the constant DC voltage irrespective to load change. To systematically design outer loop controller, we propose a method finding linear approximate model of the nonlinear inner loop part including current controller by closed loop identification. Based on the identified model, we show that a simple digital voltage controller can be directly designed and it has good performance.
Since a gas turbine is still a significant contributor to peak time, it is very important to tune the gains of P. I. D to get a maximum power and stability within permissible limits. In the gas turbine, the main control loop must adjust the fuel flow to ensure the correct output power and frequency. but it is not easy, because the control loop is composed of many subsystems. In this paper we acquire a transfer function based on the operations data of Gun-san gas turbine and study to apply a loop compensation type 2-DOF PID controller tuning by neural-network to control loop of gas turbine to reduce phenomena caused by integral and derivative actions through simulation. We obtained satisfactory results to disturbances of subcontrol loop such as, fuel flow, air flow, turbine extraction temperature.
In order to reduce the negative effects of dynamic coupling among vehicle subsystems and improve the handling performance of vehicle under severe driving conditions, a vehicle chassis control integration approach based on a main-loop and servo-loop structure is proposed. In the main-loop, in order to achieve satisfactory longitudinal, lateral and yaw response, a sliding mode controller is used to calculate the desired longitudinal, lateral forces and yaw moment of the vehicle; and in the servo-loop, a nonlinear optimizing method is adopted to compute the optimal control inputs, i.e. wheel control torques and active steering angles, and thus distributes the forces and moment to four tire/road contact patches. Simulation results indicate that significant improvement in vehicle handling and stability can be expected from the proposed chassis control integration.

A robust multivariable controller is synthesized for tandem cold mills. A blocked-noninteracting control method is applied for simplifying the structure of rolling control systems. And, a loop-shaping LQ control method is applied for maintaining the variation of the thickness and tension of each rolling stand as small as possible. In this paper, the effects of the design parameter on loop-shaping and the number of control inputs are evaluated. The simulation results show that the thickness and tension control accuracy of tandem cold mills can be improved by the blocked-noninteracting and compensated loop-shaping LQ controller.

This paper presents the sinusoidal current ministep technique to drive stepping motor. The stepping motor is coupling to the increment encoder to detect the position and speed of the stepping motor. The data from the encoder is decoded to sine and cosine signal and fed to the driver system. The driver system has two loops control, the inner loop and the outer loop. The inner loop is used to control the rotating of the stepping motor and the outer is used to control the speed of the motor. The rotating of the stepping motor is controlled with the sinusoidal signal. The test results of the inner loop control can control the revolution of the stepping motor is smooth and continuously with similar to the DC motor. The outer loop uses to control the speed of the stepping motor with control the DC voltages apply to the driver. The DC voltages that apply to the driver is controlled by the AC-DC converter The test results of the outer loop control, it can control the speed of motor which is provide the any load in the design.
This paper presents the digital control of single-phase power factor correction(PFC) converter which has the variable gain according to the condition of inner control loop error. Generally the gain of inner current control loop in single-stage PFC converter has a constant magnitude. This has a bad influence on the power factor because current loop doesn't operate smoothly in the condition that input voltage is low In particular a digital controller has more time delay than an analog controller and degrades This drops the phase margin of the total digital PFC system,. It causes the problem that the gain of current control loop isn't increased enough. In addition the oscillation happens in the peak value of the input voltage open loop PFC system gain changes according to ac input voltage. These aspects make the design of the digital PFC controller difficult The digital PFC controller presented in this paper has a variable gain of current control loop according to input voltage. The 1kW converter was used to verify the efficiency of the digital PFC controller.

In this paper, a new fully digital control method for UPS inverter, which is based on the double control loop such as the outer voltage control loop and inner current control loop, is proposed. In the proposed control system, overshoots and oscillations due to the computation time-delay are compensated by explicit incorporation of the time-delay in the current control loop transfer function. The inner current control loop is adopted by an Internal model controller The Internal model controller is designed to a second order deadbeat reference-to-output response which means that its response reaches the reference in two sampling time including computational time-delays. The outer voltage control loop employing P-Resonance controller is proposed. The resonance controller has an infinite gain at resonant frequency, and the resonant frequency is set to the fundamental frequency of the reference voltage in this paper. Thus the outer voltage control loop causes no steady state error as regard to both magnitude and phase. The effectiveness of the proposed control system has been verified by the simulation and experimental results respectively.
Repetitive control is a proposed control strategy in view of the internal model principle and achieves a high accuracy asymptotic tracking property by implementing a model that generates the periodic signals of period into the closed-loop system. Since the repetitive control system contains a periodic signal generator with positive feedback loop, which reduces the stability margin, in the overall closed-loop system, the stability of the closed-loop system should be considered as an important problem. In case that a real system has plant uncertainties which are not represented through modeling, the robust stability problem of the repetitive control system has not been considered sufficiently. In this paper, we propose the robust stability condition for the system with modeling uncertainty. The proposed robust stability condition will be obtained using the robust performance condition in the H$_{\infty}$ control. Moreover, by use of the proposed robust stability condition, we propose a procedure that designs a repetitive controller and a feedback controller simultaneously which can stabilize the overall closed-loop system robustly and which can also do the closedloop system without repetitive controller..
