유연생산시스템의 계층구조적 실시간 운용제어 및 모니터링에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Hierarchical Real-time Operation Control and Monitoring for an Flexible Manufacturing System)

  • This paper presents a hierarchical real-time operation control and monitoring scheme of the FMS/CIM center which has been implemented at the Automation and Systems Research Institute of Seoul National University. The hierarchical structure of the whole scheme consists of three lavers. The upper layer is in charge of on-line scheduling, computer network control, shop-floor monitoring and command generation for AGV dispatching, machining, assembly, inspection, set-up, etc. The middle layer has six modules, which are installed in the FMS host computer with the upper layer and run on the multi-tasking basis. Each module is connected to one of six cell controllers distributed in the FMS model plant and transfers operation command down to each cell controller through the Ethernet/TCP-IP local area network. The lower layer is comprised of six cell control software modules for machining cell, assembly cell, inspection cell, set-up stations. AS/RS and AGV. Each cell controller reports the status of the manufacturing facilites to the middle layer as well as ecxecuting the appropriate sequence control of the manufacturing processes.

  • Voltage control is an essential part of the electric energy transmission and distribution system to maintain proper voltage limit at the consumer's terminal. Besides the generating units that provide the basic voltage control, there are many additional voltage-controlling agents e.g., shunt capacitors, shunt reactors, static VAr compensators, regulating transformers mentioned in [1], [2]. The most popular one, among all those agents for controlling voltage levels at the distribution and transmission system, is the on-load tap changer transformer. It serves two functions-energy transformation in different voltage levels and the voltage control. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) has been realized as a convenient tool that can be used in controlling the on load tap changer in the distribution transformers. Usage of the ANN in this area needs suitable training and testing data for performance analysis before the practical application. This paper briefly describes a procedure of processing the data to train an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to control the tap changer operating decision of parallel transformers for a closed primary bus. The data set are used to train a two layer ANN using three different neural net learning algorithms, namely, Standard Backpropagation [3], Bayesian Regularization [4] and Scaled Conjugate Gradient [5]. The experimental results are presented including performance analysis.

  • BHS는 공항 내 가장 복잡한 시스템중 하나이며, 높은 시스템 확장비용을 고려했을 때 효율적인 운영 시스템이 요구된다. 비효율적인 BHS 운영 시스템은 병목현상을 발생시켜 시스템 능력을 하락시키는 동시에 체크인시설의 뷸균형을 야기한다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 BHS 합류부의 병목현상을 제어함으로써 BHS와 체크인 구역의 효율성을 향상시키는 것에 있다. 데이터 네트워크에 사용하는 흐름제어 개념을 차용하여 새로운 로직을 제안하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 기반으로 컨베이어의 병목현상이 고객 대기열에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, we suggest a system architecture for korean air traffic control system through investigating a korean ARTS (Automated radar terminal system) and ACC (Area control center) system. We focus on designing a network architecture for supporting both an approaching control and an area control. This paper will be a base for developing korean air traffic control system by ourselves.

Novel UWB Transceiver for WBAN Networks: A Study on AWGN Channels

  • A novel ultra-wideband (UWB) transceiver structure is presented to be used in wireless body area networks (WBANs). In the proposed structure, a data channel and a control channel are combined into a single transmission signal. In the signal, a modulation method mixing pulse position modulation and pulse amplitude modulation is proposed. A mathematical framework calculating the power spectrum density of the proposed pulse-based signal evaluates its coexistence with conventional radio systems. The transceiver structure is discussed, and the receiving performance is investigated in the additive white Gaussian noise channel. It is demonstrated that the proposed scheme is easier to match to the UWB emission mask than conventional UWB systems. The proposed scheme achieves the data rate requirement of WBAN; the logical control channel achieves better receiving performance than the logical data channel, which is useful for controlling and maintaining networks. The proposed scheme is also easy to implement.

  • Due to the deployment of various wireless networks originating from CDMA, GSM, and WLAN, it became very convenient to exchange information from one place to another. As compared with the traditional environments for one-way information distribution based on fixed radio frequency bands, the convenient wireless network environments will bring about many changes in positioning technologies based on global navigation satellites. Among the many changes to come, the reconfigurable receiver network is one of the most attractive concepts since it can be tailored to a specific application area among networked robots, formation flying, bridge monitoring, and traffic monitoring. As an initial study to develop a reconfigurable receiver network, this paper deals with the design and implementation of the key elements of the reconfigurable receiver netowork; server, broadcaster, and client. In the designed receiver network, a sever receives and decodes measurements from a reference receiver installed at a known location, a broadcaster processes and transfers the messages from servers to clients and manages connections with servers and clients, a client receives the messages from the broadcaster and performs differential positioning. A real-time experiment result is demonstrated to validate the functionalities of each network element.

  • Event-driven communication protocols such as CAN(Controller Area Network) have inherent packet delays due to the contention process for the use of network medium. These delays are stochastic in nature because most packets arrive at random time instants. The stochastic property of the delay adversely influences the control system's performance in terms of stability, responsiveness and steady-state error. Another problem for safety-critical application such as brake-by-wire systems is the reliability of the communication modules that can fail abruptly. This paper deals with two methods to overcome the above problems : (i) scheduling method that can maintain packet delays under some acceptable level, and (ii) redundancy management of communication modules that prescribes dual-redundancy modules' behavior when one of them fails.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 그 응용이 증가하고 있는 CAN통신 프로토콜을 이용하여 차량내 network개념을 도입하여 차내 각종 전기신호와 센서 입출력을 제어하는 통합 시스템의 개발에 관한 것을 간략히 기술한다. CAN시스템은 최대 1Mbps의 전송 비트율과 에러검출 및 에러영향의 시스템 내로의 한정 등의 기능이 뛰어난 높은 레벨의 통신 안정성을 가지면서 분산 실시간 제어를 효율적으로 지원하는 serial bus communication프로토콜의 하나이다. 본 연구에서 개발된 시스템은 4개의 독립 제어시스템과 관련 소프트웨어로 구성되어 있으며. 각각의 제어시스템간의 정보의 교환은 CAN통신 프로토콜에 안정적으로 이루어지며 자동차의 고급화와 함께 향후 실용화가 기대된다.

국외 상수도 원격검침시스템의 개발 동향 및 현장 적용 사례 고찰 (Recent Developments and Field Application of Foreign Waterworks Automatic Meter Reading)

  • 본 연구에서는 디지털 수도계량기(smart water meter) 연계형 상수도 원격검침시스템(automatic meter reading)의 국외 시장동향 및 원격검침시스템의 각 구성 요소기술의 개발현황과 현장적용 사례 등을 조사 분석하였다. 국외의 디지털 수도계량기 제조업체는 주로 미국 또는 유럽업체들로서 최근에는 북미뿐만 아니라 아시아 및 유럽에서도 원격검침시스템 사업을 확장하고 있다. 대부분의 디지털 수도계량기 제조업체는 원격검침용 디지털 수도 계량기에서 측정된 데이터를 활용하여 실시간 소비량 검침 및 비용 고지, 절수, 누수탐지, 수질 모니터링, 유량제어 등의 기능이 부가된 통합관리시스템(integrated water management system)과 연계하여 운영하고 있다. 데이터 전송방식은 디지털 수도계량기, 센서를 통해 검출된 데이터를 근거리 통신망(neighborhood area network)을 통해 수집기(data concentration unit)로 전송 후 광역 통신망(wide area network)을 통해 검침서버로 전송하였으며, 데이터 전송방식은 도시 규모, 계량기의 밀도, 전력공급 여부 및 통신망의 설치 여부 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 결정되었다. 일반적인 검침방식은 (1) 고정망(fixed network)을 통한 중앙 검침, (2) 차량(drive by)을 이용한 검침, (3) 사람(walk by)에 의한 검침, 그리고 (4) 비행식(fly by) 검침방식 등이 적용되었다. 전 세계적으로 디지털 수도계량기 연계형 원격검침시스템이 확산되어 용수 및 에너지를 절감하고 수도 요금을 절약하여 온실가스의 배출을 최소화하고 있는 것으로 판단된다.

지역 교통망 관리를 위한 최적 신호순서에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Signal Timing for Area Traffic Control)

  • A genetic algorithm to determine the optimal signal sequence and double cycle pattern is described. The signal sequence and double cycle pattern are used as the input for TRANSYT to find optimal signal timing at each junction in the area traffic networks, In the genetic process, the partially matched crossover and simple crossover operators are used for evolution of signal sequence and double cycle pattern respectively. A special conversion algorithm is devised to convert the signal sequence into the link-stage assignment for TRANSYT. Results from tests using data from an area traffic network in Leicester region R are given.
