  • The ECG monitoring system had play a significant roll in ICU, CCU and operating room. By alarming the change of ECG wave form and heart rate, staff can control emergency state. The improve of recent digital technology is able to develope low cost and high quality ECG monitoring system. In this paper, we develope new monitoring system with low price microprocessor and control system.

  • Advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology requires methods to maximize tool efficiency and improve product quality by reducing process variability. Real-time plasma process monitoring and diagnosis have become crucial for fault detection and classification (FDC) and advanced process control (APC). Additional sensors may increase the accuracy of detection of process anomalies, and optical monitoring methods are non-invasive. In this paper, we propose the use of a chromatic data acquisition system for real-time in-situ plasma process monitoring called the Plasma Eyes Chromatic System (PECS). The proposed system was initially tested in a six-inch research tool, and it was then further evaluated for its potential to detect process anomalies in an eight-inch production tool for etching blanket oxide films. Chromatic representation of the PECS output shows a clear correlation with small changes in process parameters, such as RF power, pressure, and gas flow. We also present how the PECS may be adapted as an in-situ plasma arc detector. The proposed system can provide useful indications of a faulty process in a timely and non-invasive manner for successful run-to-run (R2R) control and FDC.

사물인터넷 기반 수배전반 상태 모니터링 시스템 (Distributing Board Monitoring System based on Internet of Things)

  • 수배전반 전기사고 사전 예방을 위해 전기 관리자가 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 전력설비의 상태를 실시간으로 감시할 수 있는 시스템 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷 기반 수배전반 상태 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 기존 수배전반 및 제어반 등에 설치하여 수배전반 및 제어반의 상태정보와 제어정보를 인터넷망과 연결된 클라우드 서버와 근거리 무선통신망으로 실시간 전송된다. 관리자는 관리자 단말기를 통해 언제, 어디서나 상태정보 모니터링을 신속하고 용이하게 관리할 수 있으며, 수배전반 상태정보의 성능평가 결과 판정기준 ${\pm}5%$ 이내 오차범위 내의 측정결과를 얻었다.

  • This paper introduces a on-line monitoring system for insulation diagnosis of high-voltage motor stator windings. This system monitors the insulation condition of the stator winding with sensor, coupling capacitor. Partial discharge (PD) signals are able to be continuously measured and digitalized with a Peak-hold A/D converter to build the database of the high-voltage motor's insulation condition. This system can communicate with the central monitoring system via RS-485 This paper introduces an economic solution for data acquisition of partial discharges.

  • The reliability of EIC systems in hot rolling mill is indispensable and very important in order to maintain stable production. Signals obtained from sensors and control system should be analyzed to monitor the condition of down coiler in hot rolling mill. We develope a monitoring system of down coiler which is composed of three parts (1) data acquisition and MMI (2) signal processing and analyzing, and (3) automatic data saving. Also it is designed to enable to inform users the abnormal conditions of down coiler. This developed system is expected to make it possible to reduce long downtime, secure high facility precision, and maintain high control levels.

  • 본 연구에서는 BAS에셔 사용이 확실시되는 Lonworks 네트워크의 새로운 개념과 설계방법을 제시하고 이를 이용하여 원격검침 및 조명 감시제어 실험시스템을 구축하고 실험을 통하어 개방적이고, 상호운용성을 가지는 제어 네트워크로서, 원격검침 및 감시시스템으로서도 매우 신뢰성 있고, 우수한 시스템임을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper a remote monitoring and control system using SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) for UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems is proposed. The local remote system by RS-232 or RS-485 communication code or the wide remote system by modems is used for conventional remote monitoring & control system for UPSs. But recently because of communication cost and long distance the system is changed to remote control systems through internet and information communication network. And serial communication method by RS-232 or RS-485 is used between agent and UPSs. In this study. we designed and developed the system which is able to control UPSs and to monitor errors. statuses and actual values transmitted from UPS through internet.

Intelligent bolt-jointed system integrating piezoelectric sensors with shape memory alloys

  • This paper describes a smart structural system, which uses smart materials for real-time monitoring and active control of bolted-joints in steel structures. The goal of this research is to reduce the possibility of failure and the cost of maintenance of steel structures such as bridges, electricity pylons, steel lattice towers and so on. The concept of the smart structural system combines impedance based health monitoring techniques with a shape memory alloy (SMA) washer to restore the tension of the loosened bolt. The impedance-based structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques were used to detect loosened bolts in bolted-joints. By comparing electrical impedance signatures measured from a potentially damage structure with baseline data obtained from the pristine structure, the bolt loosening damage could be detected. An outlier analysis, using generalized extreme value (GEV) distribution, providing optimal decision boundaries, has been carried out for more systematic damage detection. Once the loosening damage was detected in the bolted joint, the external heater, which was bonded to the SMA washer, actuated the washer. Then, the heated SMA washer expanded axially and adjusted the bolt tension to restore the lost torque. Additionally, temperature variation due to the heater was compensated by applying the effective frequency shift (EFS) algorithm to improve the performance of the diagnostic results. An experimental study was conducted by integrating the piezoelectric material based structural health monitoring and the SMA-based active control function on a bolted joint, after which the performance of the smart 'self-monitoring and self-healing bolted joint system' was demonstrated.

  • Information technology advances are allowing conventional surveillance systems to be combined with mobile communication technologies, creating ubiquitous monitoring systems. This paper proposes monitoring system that uses smart camera technology. We discuss the dependence of interior orientation parameters on calibration target sheets and compare the accuracy of a three-dimensional monitoring system with camera location calculated by space resectioning using a Digital Surface Model (DSM) generated from stereo images. A monitoring housing is designed to protect a camera from various weather conditions and to provide the camera for power generated from solar panel. A smart camera is installed in the monitoring housing. The smart camera is operated and controlled through an Android application. At last the accuracy of a three-dimensional monitoring system is evaluated using a DSM. The proposed system was then tested against a DSM created from ground control points determined by Global Positioning Systems (GPSs) and light detection and ranging data. The standard deviation of the differences between DSMs are less than 0.12 m. Therefore the monitoring system is appropriate for extracting the information of objects' position and deformation as well as monitoring them. Through incorporation of components, such as camera housing, a solar power supply, the smart camera the system can be used as a ubiquitous monitoring system.
