A Study on the Influence of Library Service Quality on International Students' Continuous Use Intention (도서관서비스 품질요인이 유학생의 도서관 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the impact of library service quality on the continuous use of libraries by international students and to verify that library anxiety plays a mediator role between the two variables - 'library service quality' and 'continuous use intention'. To conduct this study, library service quality, continuous use intention, and library anxiety of 213 Chinese international students was measured and the hypothesis through structural equation modeling was verified. The result of the study suggests that library service quality has an impact on continuous use intention and that library anxiety mediates the two variables. Based on the research result, the development of library service for international students was discussed.

A Study on Measures to Utilize Public Libraries' Social Network Service (공공도서관의 소셜 네트워크 서비스 활용 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide values and effectiveness to libraries making a new social network service marketing model and strategy. According to study, when libraries entice library users with social network services, the users become loyal customers who give libraries long-term supports. For method of study, it establishes 15 hypotheses and proves those hypotheses with 157 responders. After inspecting hypotheses, 13 hypotheses are adopted and 3 hypotheses are dismissed. During the research, it is verified that usefulness perceived by library users is the most important factor of user satisfaction and continuous use intention which increased library users' intention to continue visiting the library. In addition, effectivness of marketing and cause are found in order of system quality, information quality, reliability, interactivity, subjective norms. In other words, the study found that library users found their information for using social network services and this attribute affects user satisfaction and ultimately continuous use intention in a positive way.

A Study on the Distance University Library Service Quality Factors and User Perception (원격대학 도서관 서비스품질 요인 및 이용자 인식 연구)

  • This study aims to grasp what factors affect users' recognition level and expectation level for library service, being offered at the library of Korea National Open University. Also, this study seeks to conduct a survey and analyze whether users' recognition level by library service dimensions has actually influenced the intention and the satisfaction with using the library. For this, it carried out the theoretical approach, which considers domestic and foreign documents on evaluation of quality of library service, and the empirical approach of questionnaire research and analysis. A research model was designed on the basis of LibQUAL+model to achieve the objective of this research. And the group-based difference was confirmed by carrying out verification on research hypothesis. As a result of analysis, the users' current recognition level by library service dimensions of Korea National Open University was indicated to have influence on the whole satisfaction with library and the continuous use intention. The whole satisfaction was indicated to have an effect on continuous use intention. Also, to enhance users' satisfaction level according to the behavioral characteristics of using library, the core elements for improving the library service of Korea National Open University were cited and these include improving the facility of library, implementing smart digital library system for offering remotely academic information, and securing diversity and currency of academic information sources such as printing materials and electronic materials.

A Comparative Study on the Influence of Creation Shared Value Activities on Continuous Use Intention in Korean-Chinese Library Big Data Service: Focusing on Brand Quality and Social Resistance

  • In this paper, we propose the purpose of this study is to examine whether the library's creation shared value activities in China and Korea affect brand quality, social status, and the influence of each variable according to the Chinese and Korean groups. To achieve the purpose of this study, the survey was conducted using questionnaires to users who have used the Big Data Sharing Service in Korean and Chinese libraries. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed to participants in the study, and 460 of the recovered questionnaire were used in the final analysis, which eliminated unfaithful responses. The data collected through the survey were analyzed as frequency analysis, reliability analysis, confirmed factor analysis, and structured model using statistical programs SPSS22 and AMOS22. The results of the research identified through the empirical analysis of this study are as follows. First, the CSV activities of the library's big data have a significant influence on the brand quality and social status. Second, brand quality and social resistance has a significant positive effect on continuous use intention. Third, the influence of the CSV activities in Korean and Chinese libraries has been found to be partly different. Through the conclusion and discussion section, the theoretical implications of this study, practical implications and in-depth discussions on the limitations of the study and its future direction were presented.

The Effect of Innovation Resistance of Users on Intention to Use Mobile Health Applications (이용자의 혁신저항이 모바일 건강 앱 이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The study aimed at identifying the causes of the high level of health application but the low level of use. In other words, the effects of user's innovation resistance (use barrier, value barrier, risk barrier, traditional barrier, image barrier, etc.) were examined. For this study, 378 valid responses were collected by conducting surveys with college students. Findings indicated the higher the level of image barrier of the user, the higher the degree of innovation resistance for the health application, and the higher the degree of innovation resistance, the lower intention of continuous use and recommendation. In addition, the level of use barriers, value barriers and traditional barriers did not have a significant effect on the degree of innovation resistance, suggesting that users familiar with smartphones have low resistance to health applications. The study deepens the theoretical discussion about the adoption and continuous use of new technologies by explaining the use of health applications in the theory of innovation resistance. The findings of the study provide the practical implications that lowering the image barriers rather than the usage barriers, value barriers and traditional barriers will be effective for the adoption and continuous use of health applications.

Quality Evaluation Factors and Continuance Intention for Web-based Legal Information Services (웹기반 법률정보서비스 품질 평가요인 및 지속의도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of the quality of Web-based legal information services and their significant influences on the user continuance intentions. Based on the main dimensions of the SERVQUAL, this study conceptualizes five dimensions of reliability, assurance, design, empathy, and responsiveness. It measures the level of expectation and satisfaction on the basis of these five dimensions. Regression analysis was conducted to extract and analyze the determinants of the service quality and the factors affecting continuous intention. The level of legal information service quality is superior in empathy, responsiveness, and design category, but it is relatively insufficient in reliability and assurance category. In the reliability category, the relevance of the search results was an issue. The problems related to the authority and information sources were recognized as important. Reliability implies that there is a relatively close relationship between empathy and responsiveness, and that it is necessary to improve the quality of contents such as empathy and responsiveness in order to increase reliability. In order to increase the ongoing use of legal information services in the future, it is more effective to make sure that assurance is top priority.
