Hydrophobicity is the key concept to understand the water plays in protein folding, protein aggregation, and protein-protein interaction. Traditionally, the hydrophobicity of protein is defined based on the scales of the hydrophobicity of residue, assuming that the hydrophobicity of free amino acids is maintained. Here, we explore how the hydrophobicity of constituting amino acids in protein rely on the protein context, in particular, on the total charge and secondary structures of a protein. To this end, we calculate and investigate the hydration free energy of three short proteins based on the integral-equation theory of liquids. We find that the hydration free energy of charged amino acids is significantly affected by the protein total charge and exhibits contrasting behavior depending on the protein total charge being positive or negative. We also observe that amino acids in the ${\beta}-sheets$ display more enhanced the hydrophobicity than amino acids in the loop, whereas those in the ${\alpha}-helix$ do not clearly show such a tendency. And the salt-bridge forming amino acids also exhibit increase of the hydrophobicity than that with no salt bridge. Our results provide novel insights into the hydrophobicity of amino acids, and will be valuable for rationalizing and predicting the strength of water-mediated interaction involved in the biological activity of proteins.

The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is known as a very useful decision-making model developed for obtaining the relative weights of alternatives through pairwise comparison in the context of hierarchical structure. In this paper, we propose a method to reflect the reliability of evaluators in the process of pairwise comparison. This method is applied to the evaluation of aerospace technology alternatives. We have conducted a questionnaire survey for S company that is one of the representative aerospace companies in Korea. A questionnaire was designed for obtaining both the priority with considering the reliability of evaluators' importance weights (the modified AHP priority) and the priority with assuming equally reliable evaluators' importance weights (the AHP priority) in order to compare the priority derived by each of two methods. The result shows that there exists the difference hard to neglect between the final priorities gained by two methods.
In recent years, progress in hardware technology has resulted in the possibility of monitoring many events in real time. The volume of incoming data may be so large, that monitoring all individual data might be intractable. Revisiting any particular record can also be impossible in this environment. Therefore, many database schemes, such as aggregation, join, frequent pattern mining, and indexing, become more challenging in this context. This paper surveys the previous efforts to resolve these issues in processing data streams. The emphasis is on specifying and processing sliding window queries, which are supported in many stream processing engines. We also review the related work on stream query processing, including synopsis structures, plan sharing, operator scheduling, load shedding, and disorder control.

Handling vast amount of data found in large transactional datasets is an obvious challenge for the conventional data mining algorithms. Addressing this challenge, our paper proposes a parallel approach for proper decomposition of mining problem into sub-problems in order to find frequent patterns from these datasets. The proposed, Pattern Mining for Large Distributed Dataset (PMLDD) approach, ensures minimum dependencies as well as minimum communications among sub-problems. It establishes a linear aggregation of the intermediate results so that it can be adapted to large-scale programming models like MapReduce. In this context, an algorithmic structure for MapReduce programming model is presented. PMLDD guarantees an efficient load balancing among the sub-problems by a specific selection criterion. Further, it optimizes the number of required iterations over the dataset for mining frequent patterns as compared to the existing approaches. Finally, we believe that our approach is scalable enough to handle larger datasets in terms of performance evaluation, and the result analysis justifies all these mentioned concerns.

Correct facade image parsing is essential to the semantic understanding of outdoor scenes. Unfortunately, there are often various occlusions in front of buildings, which fails many existing methods. In this paper, we propose an end-to-end deep network for facade parsing with occlusions. The network learns to decompose an input image into visible and invisible parts by occlusion reasoning. Then, a context aggregation module is proposed to collect nonlocal cues for semantic segmentation of the visible part. In addition, considering the regularity of man-made buildings, a repetitive pattern completion branch is designed to infer the contents in the invisible regions by referring to the visible part. Finally, the parsing map of the input facade image is generated by fusing the results of the visible and invisible results. Experiments on both synthetic and real datasets demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms state-of-the-art methods in parsing facades with occlusions. Moreover, we applied our method in applications of image inpainting and 3D semantic modeling.

The classification in the Records and Archives Sciences focuses on the contextual information in producing and utilizing records rather than their contents. This study aimed at designing an automatic records classification system to enable an automatic classification focusing on the aggregation of the context of records rather than the contents of individual record in the classification scheme, structured on the basis of business activities analyses for records reflecting the business activities. The automatic records classification system was designed to have mutual supplements by constructing the classification scheme and thesaurus together as the classification reference, as well as the aggregation of records that have been already classified. Additionally included are plans to apply the classified contextual information of records to the classification reference on the real-time base right after the category assignment of records to be classified. Although there are limitations as the designed system depends on the quality of the contextual information, it is considered that the system could lead to ensure that the contextual information of records should be more substantial.
The development impact fee (DIF) zoning is a very beneficial public tool to provide the pre-planned urban infrastructures in those areas where significant urban sprawl had already taken place. In order to guarantee its benefit, however, it is required to designate the zone boundaries accurately and consistently. This study, in this context, tries to test the validity of the 50m-grid suggested in the official DIF manual, and to compare an alternative Hot Spot Analysis tool with the existing Spatial Aggregation method in configuring the zone boundaries. The results indicate that, unlike the case of population growth rate, current 50m grid size could not be much adequate in the case of using the development-permit increase rate to configure the primary DIF zones. Also, the optimal grid sizes seem to differ in the cases of Spatial Aggregation and Hot Spot Analysis. Further extended studies, in this regard, seem necessary to check the validity of the existing grid-size criteria as well as the boundary configuration methods.
The results of this study has been split into two components, On set of results addressed the strategy of developing a Agility for maintenance consumer. The other set of results addressed the strategy of illuminating the successful measurement and concepts formed during the maintenance problem solving process, especially in the context of the Logistics Information system by aggregation information space. This paper presented a classifiable elements of Agility & Measurement of logistics capability in the Korea market. These concepts are positioned in a framework to give a better understanding what the consequences are of the changing business environment. The developments towards more globalization which leads to centralization and mass individualization that has a tendency to go more in the decentralized solutions, seems to be in contradiction. we will focus a proposal of Logistics information system and demand management decisions that should be a prime concern of any profit maximizing firm, unready strategy of investment. and we will prove the facts that it could be a guiding company which has a ability of cooperation with entities through the founding of supply chain, On the conclusion, we will show the variation which influences for capacity entities and alternative proposal to define a element which influnce for a cause and effect basically.[5]

Chronic Cochlodinium blooms in the southern waters of Korea have brought about considerable economic losses for about a decade, This paper aims to reframe current perspectives on the outbreak mechanism and the remediation schemes through a thought experiment in a context of mass balance and mathematical ecology. Far different explanations emerge from a careful examination of the scientifically unnoticed clues and a through discussion on the phytoplankton conservation equation. Logic of the eutrophication-induced red tide subjects to criticism. It is strongly recommended that the current remediation scheme to exterminate the target species should be rerouted to an environmentally sound competition enhancement tactics. Finally a novel convergence-float-aggregation hypothesis is proposed as an outbreak mechanism.
