의생활 교육내용에 대한 고등학생의 실천 의식 조사1) (Research on High School Students’ Practical Awareness of Contents of Clothing and Textiles Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to research high school students’ practical awareness about the contents(classify them into four units. choice and dressing of clothes. textile and management of clothes. design and sewing of clothes. knitting and embroidery) clothing and textiles education in their real life. This is the investigation of which 576 high school students located in Choongchungnam$.$bukdo. Junrabukdo, Daeseon. In this statistical analysis. SPSS 10.0 for Windows Program was utilized to calculate percentage. mean and standard deviation. Also. these materials were verified by t-test. One-way Anova . Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The main results of obtained this study are as follows High school students’ practical awareness about the contents of clothing and textiles education in their real life appears to be low(only 9 items were over median point of 3.0). There was a significant difference in Practical awareness of contents of clothing and textiles education according to demographic variables. and correlation of variables differed significantly. These results should be provide fundamental information for improving students’ practical practice in their real life Since this study has touched only limited research on the topic of clothing and textiles education. it is essential that further research covering a wider array of themes be done in the future.

교육과정기 이전의 의생활 영역의 교육내용에 대한 고찰 (제1보) -초등가사 교과서를 중심으로- (The Contents of Clothing & Textiles Education before the 1st Curriculum (Part I) -Elementary Home Economics Textbook-)

  • The contents of clothing and textiles area of elementary home economics textbooks from 1948 to 1955 were investigated. Home economics of elementary school education in those days corresponds to practice acts of elementary school education in present. Practical acts has the all-around concepts of the agriculture, industry and home economics Also the knowledge or skill for actual life are teamed. Practical acts education was started from lessons of sewing for women under title of 'jaebong'. It can be said that practical acts education was started from clothing and textiles area. The home economics elementary textbooks of the year 1948 were composed of 21 units for 5th grade and 22 units for 6th grade. The textbook for 5th grade of 1953 was composed of 19 units, and one for 6th grade of 1955 was composed of 18 units. The clothing and textiles area accounts for 38.6% in 5th grade textbook, for 32% in 6th grade textbook of 1948 and for 31% in 5th grade of 1953 and 6th grade textbooks of 1955. The textbook contents of clothing and textiles area were classified into five fields of sewing, knitting. patching, embroidering and care. In 1948, textbooks were placed a great deal of weight on sewing field education as 7 units of 15 units. The 7 units for sewing fields have suitable connection to develop. But, in the case of knitting, patching or care, just groundwork of each field was included for application to actual life without vertical connection. The contents of textbooks for clothing and textiles area in 1953 and 1955 were much alike with those in 1948.

대학생의 양성평등의식과 의생활 교육내용 실천과의 관련 연구 (A Study Related to University Students' Awareness of Gender Equality and Practice of Clothing and Textiles Education Contents)

  • The purpose of this study was to research university students' awareness of gender equality and practice of clothing and textiles education contents(classifying them into four units; choice and dressing of clothes, textile and management of clothes, design and sewing of clothes, and knitting and embroidery) in their real life. This is the investigation of 344 university students living in Choongchungnam bukdo, Junrabukdo, and Daejeon. In this statistical analysis, SPSS 10.0 for Windows Program was utilized to calculate percentage, mean and standard deviation. Also, these data were verified by t-test, One-way Anova, Duncan's multiple range, Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results of this research were as follows: The more university students have awareness of gender equality, the more they have practice of clothing and textiles education content in their real life. There was a significant difference in practical awareness of contents of clothing and textiles education according to demographic variables and correlation of variables differed significantly. As a conclusion, university students' awareness of gender equality plays an important role in practice of clothing and textiles education contents in their real life. These results would provide fundamental information for improving students' critical practice.

  • The purpose of this study was to research adolescents' practical awareness about the contents(classify them into four units, choice and dressing of clothes, textile and management of clothes, design and sewing of clothes, knitting and embroidery) clothing and textiles education in their real life. This is the investigation of which 730(middle school students 246, high school students 248, university students 236) girl students located in Junrabukdo and Choongchungnam. The main results of obtained this study are as follows. Adolescents' practical awareness about the contents of clothing and textiles education in their real life appears to be low(only 8 items were over median point of 3.0) There was a significant difference in practical awareness of contents of clothing and textiles education according to early$.$middle$.$latter adolescents and demographic variables differed significantly. These results should be provide fundamental information for improving students' critical practice in their real life. Since this study has touched only limited research on the topic of clothing and textiles education, it is essential that further research covering a wider array of themes be done in the future.

  • The purposes of this study are:(1) to analyze the learning content & subjects on the area of clothing and textiles in Home Economics for Young Men: A Teaching Guide, (2) to compare it with the learning content & subjects on the area of clothing and textiles in Home Economics teaching guides in the middle school in Korea, (3) to provide preliminary data for developing the learning content & learning method on clothing and textiles education for middle school students. To implement these proposals, Home Economics for young Men: A Teaching Guide in U.S.A and 6 Home Economics teaching guides for the middle school in Korea are reviewed and analyzed. The research findings were as follows: 1. Home Economics for Young Men is characterized as including: (1) interesting learning contents for girls and boys in the middle school, (2) learning contents for helping students to work on their own initiative (3) learning contents related to actual life, (4) practical consumer education content related to clothing and textiles area, (5) learning contents for developing originality, (6) learning contents related to vocational education. 2. The subjects in Home Economics for Young Men give careful considerations especially on how to learn. They are based on the idea that middle school students have to learn and to solve the subject by themselves. 3. Learning contents on Home Economics teaching guides for middle school in Korea are different from learning contents in Home Economics for Young Men in the subject & the form of description, the subject matter of practice in clothing area, the standpoint of description on clothing matters. The subjects in Home Economics teaching guides for middle school in Korea don’s give careful consideration on how to learn. There are little idea that middle school students have to learn and to solve the subject by themselves.

2007 교육과정 개정 전과 후의 실과 및 가정과 의생활 교육내용 분석 (Analysis of the Contents of Clothing and Textiles Education of Practical Arts and Home Economics Education between before and after the Revision of the 7th Curriculum)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라의 의생활교육을 통시적으로 고찰한 문헌연구로 의생활 교육내용을 문헌을 통하여 역사적으로 고찰하였고, 2007년 제7차 개정 교육과정을 분석하였다. 학교교육법 이전의 의생활에 관한 교육은 비형식적으로 가사기술, 생활기술, 가정기술의 일부로 행해져왔다. 그러므로 형식적인 학교교육이 시작되는 구한말부터 시작하여 이후 해방 전과 후로 분류하여 의생활교육의 변천내용을 상세히 고찰하였다. 또한 제7차 교육과정의 개정 전과 후의 의생활 교육내용을 비교, 분석하여 논의하였다. 구한말과 해방 전에는 재봉, 수예, 가사 위주의 의생활교육이었으나, 해방 후에는 가정교과 속의 의생활 영역으로 자리 매겨졌다. 제1차 교육과정기부터 제5차 교육과정기까지는 시수도 많고 내용도 심화되었으며, 특히 제4, 5차 교육과정기에는 가정생활 영역이 강화되는 계기를 맞았다. 제6차 교육과정기에는 시수는 줄었으나, 학년의 확대와 함께 이론과 실기의 균형은 고려되었으며, 중등 가정과는 독립교과를 유지하였다 그러나 제7차 교육과정기에 초등에서는 기능편중의 균형이 맞지 않은 의생활교육이 이루어졌고, 중등은 기술과 가정 교과의 통합으로 인하여 명칭에 있어서는 독립성이 없어지고 내용면에서도 축소되었다. 제7차 교육과정의 개정 후의 의생활 내용은 학년간의 균형있는 분배, 내용에서 이론과 실기의 균형있는 배분, 교육수요자들의 요구도를 반영하여 의생활교육상 많은 개선과 진보가 이루어졌다. 그러나 학습자의 흥미와 관심에 어느 정도 부합되는 내용인지는 앞으로 더 연구하고 해결해야 할 과제로 남겨졌다. 의생활 교육내용이 가정교과의 기본요구와 같은 내재적 원리 이외에도 학습자의 요구나 사회적 필요성과 같은 외재적인 요구를 반영해야 한다는 것이 교육과정의 기본원칙이므로 학습자 중심의 본 교육과정 하에서는 패션소품 제작, 유행을 고려한 옷차림 등 학생들이 관심있는 내용을 고려, 반영해야 할 필요가 있다. 학생들의 가치관이 다양화되고 있는 만큼 의생활에 흥미와 관심과 의욕을 가질 수 있도록 충실한 의생활교육이 요구되는 시대에 맞게, 내용은 물론 수업체제를 발전시키는 것이 큰 과제라고 할 수 있다. 이렇게 변화하는 사회, 생활에 학교교육이 발맞춰 나가기 위해서는 교육과정의 틀을 바꾸는 것은 쉬운 일이 아니므로, 교과서의 내용을 교육과정 개정주기보다 자주 정기적으로 개편하여 내용을 수정, 보완할 수 있도록 그 방법을 모색해야 할 것이다.

중학생의 기술.가정 교과의 의생활 영역에 대한 흥미도, 활용도, 학습 요구 (The Interests, Application, and Learning Desire of Clothing Section in Technology.Home Economics Curriculum of Middle School)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate learning desire based on the interests, application of clothing and textiles in Technology Home Economics curriculum of middle school. For this research, a questionnaire survey was conducted to 404 middle school students living in Seoul and Kyunggi areas. The data was analyzed by frequency, descriptive statistics, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan-test using SPSS 14.0. The conclusions of this study are as follows: First, the perception of middle school student for Technology Home Economics was low. Students were interested not in the clothing and textile education but in getting dressed specially, and purchasing of clothes. Second, the more interested in the area of clothing and textiles, the higher is the application of apparels coordination, apparel purchase, and apparel management. And the more interested in the area of clothing and textiles, the higher is the desire in class contents. Therefore, teaching-learning methods should be developed to improve middle school students' interests, and applications in the clothing and textiles.

의생활 교육내용의 필요도와 실천도 조사 연구 (A Study on Research of Necessity and Practice of Contents of Clothing and Textiles Education)

  • 본 연구는 의생활 교육내용을 학습하고 있거나 학습한 경험이 있는 충청남도와 전라북도의 1, 2학년 여고생과 여대생 총 400명을 대상으로 의생활 교육내용에 대한 필요도와 실천도에 관하여 조사해봄으로써, 의생활 교육내용에 영향을 미치는 관련 변수에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구의 자료분석은 SPSS 10.0 for Windows Program을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, Cronbach's 신뢰도 검증, t-검증, 일원변량분석, Duncan의 다중범위검증, Pearson의 적률상관관계를 산출하였다. 본 연구결과를 요약하여 제시하면 다음과 같다. 의생활 교육내용의 영역별 필요도와 실천도는 의복의 선택과 착용, 의복의 재료와 관리, 편물과 자수, 의복의 디자인과 제작 순으로 나타났다. 전체적으로 의복의 디자인과 제작 영역에 대한 필요도와 실천도가 다른 영역에 비해 낮았다. 의생활 교육내용의 필요도와 실천도는 모두 정적 상관관계를 나타내 의생활 교육내용의 필요도가 높을수록 실천도도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 인구통계적 특성 변인에 따라 의생활 교육내용의 영역별 필요도와 실천도는 차이가 있었다. 여고생보다 여대생이, 부모의 학력이 높을수록 의생활 교육내용의 영역별 필요도와 실천도가 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 의생활 교육내용의 영역별 필요도가 실천도 보다 조금 높게 나타났지만 전체적으로 평균점수가 낮았다는 것과, 의생활 교육내용에 대한 필요도가 높을수록 실천도도 높아진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 학습자의 인구통계적 특성 변인에 따라 의생활 교육내용의 영역별 필요도와 실천도는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 인구통계적 특성 변인이 의생활 교육내용의 영역별 필요도와 실천도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 제언하면 다음과 같다. 의생활 교육이 학생들에게 실생활의 문제점을 해결하고 미래사회에 적응해 나가는 데 도움을 주기 위해서는 실생활에서 의생활 교육내용의 높은 필요도가 요구된다. 의생활 교육내용에 대한 필요도가 높을 때 다양한 측면에서 학습자의 실천도도 증가할 것이다. 학습자로 하여금 의생활 교육내용이 생활에 필요하다고 인식하고, 이를 실천함으로써 실생활에서 야기될 수 있는 문제를 해결하는데 고움을 줄 수 있는 교육내용으로 가능한 범위내에서 점진적인 개선을 한다면 보다 바람직한 의생활 교육을 달성할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

패션디자인 교육에 있어서 기초조형 교육내용 개발 (Development of Contents in Fundamental Design Education for Fashion Design)

  • The carelessness of basic design form in education can result in a lack of creativeness and critical thinking ability that will decrease adaptability in a rapidly changing fashion industry. If the fashion education just repeats the previous education of basic form of design, it will be impossible to create original value in fashion design. It is necessary to re-establish the characterized program of the basic form of design education. This study develops concrete educational contents of the basic form of design that can be applied to fashion design through the study of the fundamentals and the concepts of the basic form of design. This study is the basis for the cultivation of talented designers with creativity, forming ability, problem solving skills, and critical thinking ability. The research method is the fundamentals, specialty publications, and designs studied. As a result, an education program for the basic form of design to be used in fashion design education was developed. The development of education contents of the basic form of design has been developed as the plane form that aims the perceptual and emotional effects through the expression of the objects, through the use of dots, lines and planes that are the basics in forming practice and the expression of the abstract images. This suggests subjects composed of the various progressive forming conditions with the abstract dots and lines. In this subject and during the process of the idea, development, and fashion design, the overall unity, harmony, and the theory of gestalt (closure, proximity, and similarity) has been obtained. As a result, the content of the subjects was developed from the perspective that comprehensive decision making skills made from the process can lead to an improved sense of the fashion design.

중학교 가정교과서 의생활 및 주생활 단원에 대한 교사의 인식 및 활용 (Teachers’Recognition in Food/Nutrition, Textile/Clothing Units in Home Economics Text Book of Middle School)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers’ recognition in Food/Nutrition, Textile/Clothing part in Home Economics Text Book of Middle School and to provide the basic data for the improvement of its curriculum. 147 Home Economics teachers in Taegu city and Kyungsangbukdo area responded to the questionnaire. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Most of Home Economics teachers have graduated Dept. of Home Economics Education and have ever taken teacher training. And even those who ever taken teacher training are not satisfied with training curriculum contents. Therefore, the result of this study shows that teacher training curriculum contents should be improved so as to be helpful for the actual teaching and learning. 2. In terms of the suitability of contents of food & nutrition and contents of textiles & clothing to the student’s learning development levels, the degree of suitability is in the order of nutrition & health, nutrition in adolescence, food selection, kinds and functions of nutrients in food & nutrition curriculum, and in the order of suitable clothing, mixture rate of fabrics, purchase of clothing, clothing in adolescence, clothing selection. The contents of making processed foods and usage of sewing machine of the existing text book have turned out not to be appropriate. 3. Most teachers suggest that dietary guideline for health, misconception about food & nutrition selection of ready-made suit suitable clothing for situation & character as well as the contents of the existing text book should be included in the new text book.
