  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the educational literature search methodology objectives and the content structure of a course in bibliography. The content of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. The concept and domain of literature search methodology, which has traditionally gone by the name of a guide to use of literature and library, are described. 2. The need of incorporating the methodology into regular college curriculum was investigated in view of the ideology of college education. 3. The background, process, and current status of offering a course in the methodology as a part of regular college curriculum were examined. 4. The educational objective of a course in the methodology was set at the successful activities in self study, life-long-education, and special topic research. 5. Considering the fact that technical knowledge and propositional knowledge should be realized simultaneously, that educational experience should go hand in hand with materials and library, and that knowledge should be constructed systematically and logically, the content structure of the methodology were divided into the following six categories: a) the significance of the methodology of literature search b) the college library and the activities of literature search c) types and characteristics of materials d) literature search by catalog e) explanation of basic bibliography f) research and literature search

  • The Knowledge of the Channel (e) is often used as educational materials; it delivers very short but compelling message of strong or interesting timeliness. However, as the media environment changes, expectations and demands for The Knowledge The Knowledge of the Channel (e) is used in school education and what should be improved upon to increase utilization of educational resources. We surveyed 361 elementary, middle and high school teachers and analyzed the frequency of using, approach and learning activities of The Knowledge of the Channel (e) in school education. We also analyzed difficulties in using it in the school and what improvements should be made. Result show that the frequency of using The Knowledge of the Channel (e) in school is highest in elementary schools, followed by middle school, and then high school. Teachers strongly consider curricular relevance when selecting broadcasting contents for education, and among programs of EBS(Educational Broadcasting System), most frequently use The Knowledge of the Channel (e). The The Knowledge of the Channel (e) is mainly used as an incentive for increasing motivation. When examined by elementary school curriculum, this material is highly utilized in subjects with content such as society, morality, and science, or with approaches that require various perspectives. However, it is difficult for teachers to find materials directly related to their classes, and since other media content similar to The Knowledge of the Channel (e) is abundant, the utilization of The Knowledge of the Channel (e) is decreasing. To improve this, The Knowledge of the Channel (e) needs to improve its platform and transformed the type of The Knowledge of the Channel (e) content being provided on social media.

  • This study aimed to compare academic passion for science pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) between pre-service and in-service elementary teachers. In addition, a comparison between passion for science subject matter knowledge and passion for science pedagogical knowledge was made for each group of teachers. Participants comprised 182 students from colleges of education and 161 in-service teachers. We analyzed between- and within-subject comparisons for each component of academic passion for science PCK. The results of this study are as follows: First, between-subject comparison demonstrated that, in academic passion for science subject matter knowledge, in-service teachers had a higher passion for "liking" and "importance" than pre-service teachers, whereas pre-service teachers had a higher passion for "time/energy investment" than in-service teachers. In academic passion for science pedagogical knowledge, pre-service teachers had a higher passion for "time/energy investment" than in-service teachers. Second, the within-subject comparison showed that only "harmonious passion" was higher for science pedagogical knowledge than science subject matter knowledge in pre-service teachers. However, "liking", "importance", "time/energy investment", and "obsessive passion" were higher for science subject matter knowledge than science pedagogical knowledge in in-service teachers. The educational implications are discussed.

  • This case study covers the Knowledge Management research paper that explores the clear idea about the knowledge practicesthat are used in the corporate sector to achieve the strategic advantage over the competitors. The quoted example of the three manufacturing firms TATA MOTORS, BHEL, and M&M have tried to compare the Knowledge practices in these firms, which explores the concept clearer that the competitors can use the same or the different type of knowledge practices to achieve the competitor advantages. In order to help knowledge management goals, an integrated knowledge management system consisting of the knowledge management techniques and technologies are used. The knowledge Management is supported by different techniques and practices whichare knowledge content, people skills, technology and strategy based. The technology and techniques supports these factors of knowledge management. The paper discuss different techniques and processes adapted by three Indian organizations and a comparison is made to suggest the guidelines of KM practices to manufacturing Industries.

  • Knowledge recommendation is a type of recommendation system that recommends knowledge content to users in order to satisfy their needs. Although using graph neural networks to extract data features is an effective method for solving the recommendation problem, there is information loss when modeling real-world problems because an edge in a graph structure can only be associated with two nodes. Because one super-edge in the hypergraph structure can be connected with several nodes and the effectiveness of knowledge graph for knowledge expression, a dual-channel hypergraph convolutional neural network model (DCHC) based on hypergraph structure and knowledge graph is proposed. The model divides user data and knowledge data into user subhypergraph and knowledge subhypergraph, respectively, and extracts user data features by dual-channel hypergraph convolution and knowledge data features by combining with knowledge graph technology, and finally generates recommendation results based on the obtained user embedding and knowledge embedding. The performance of DCHC model is higher than the comparative model under AUC and F1 evaluation indicators, comparative experiments with the baseline also demonstrate the validity of DCHC model.

  • This study was to investigate novice teachers' Specialized Content Knowledge for Teaching in High School Calculus Lessons. The lessons of two novice teachers in Kyunggi Do were observed from July, 2011 to Feb. 2012. All observed lessons were audeotaped and transcribed into word files. Their calculus lessons were analyzed into three kinds of knowledge consisting of SCKT. Their SCKT just copied the contents of the textbook and other additional SCKT were not found for teaching. Even though students asked a question that they did not understand, the teacher just repeated the previous contents that already he used. But this study included possible contents of SCKT within the areas these teachers covered so that teachers in school may use for teaching of Calculus. The novice teacher do not have sufficient experience, the program of the college of education and the contents of the teacher certificate-examination should include multi-dimensional approaches in SCKT to pre-service teachers in order to raise better specialized teachers in mathematics.

  • There is an increase in the need of an unified manual for library signage system, due to recent increase in library construction or remodeling. This paper, therefore, can be a basic research to develop library signage system manual. Based on an anual released from KLA and the sum of opinions of expert groups, this research proposes a concrete list of contents for library signage system manual as follows. First, there is a need of theoretical basis of library signage system. Second, for the actual practices of signage system, planning, check list, and standard terms shall be necessary.

  • The paper proposes that the Basic Concepts Classification (BCC) could serve as the controlled vocabulary for the Semantic Web. The BCC uses a synthetic approach among classes of things, relators, and properties. These are precisely the sort of concepts required by RDF triples. The BCC also addresses some of the syntactic needs of the Semantic Web. Others could be added to the BCC in a bottom-up process that carefully evaluates the costs, benefits, and best format for each rule considered.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to investigate data aspects in Library and Information Science curricula at all levels in selected African Universities. Design/methodology/approach - A review of existing literature on data aspects and LIS Curricula. Secondly, the study juxtaposed web-based courses for fourteen LIS schools to establish data aspects incorporated into their curricula. Findings - The study's findings found that although many LIS schools have some form of data aspects in curricula, coverage is still very limited and basic.
