조선대학교 박물관 모바일 도슨트 어플 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Mobile Docent App for Chosun University Museum)

  • 대학박물관은 대학의 중요한 교육지원 시설 중의 하나로서 문화재의 발굴, 연구 및 전시와 함께 교육, 학술 자료로 활용될 수 있도록 노력하고 있다. 그러나 현재의 대학박물관은 대학의 행정적, 재정적 지원의 감소와 대학 구성원의 무관심으로 인하여 낮은 효용성의 문제를 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하는 한 가지 방법은 대학박물관의 접근성을 향상하는 것으로써 물리적, 공간적, 시간적 제약없이 접근하여 문화재 관련 지식을 습득하고 교육 및 체험 프로그램을 이용할 수 있도록 모바일 도슨트 어플을 제공하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 조선대학교 대학박물관을 사례 연구로 분석하고 그 결과에 따라 안드로이드 기반의 모바일 도슨트 어플을 설계 및 구현한다. 또한 어포던스 기반 기능 분석 설문을 통해 제안된 어플의 기능성 및 유용성을 평가한다.

환경 교수학습법에 대한 과학과와 사회과 교사들의 인식 (Perceptions of Korean Science and Social Science Teachers Regarding Teachers/Learning Methods for Environmental Education)

  • To meet the objectives of environmental education, teachers especially have to perceive the importance of environmental education, comprehend various characteristics of teaching/learning methods, and be able to conduct classes by choosing proper teaching/leaming methods in accordance with a specific purpose and educational focus about environmental education. Therefore, it Bs necessary to investigate the current status of Korean environmental education and provide teachers with appropriate environmental teaching/leaming methods. To this end this study aims to examine Korean science teachers'perceptions'on environmental education and the kind of teaching/learning methods which can be utilized in environmental education. Teachers who completed the survey were 135 science teachers from middle and high schools in Seoul, and 126 social science teachers from Kyoungki province. The majors of the science teachers were in physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and earth science. Also, there was one teacher who majored in special education. For social science teachers two majors were common, geography and general sociology. After analysis of the data from the surveys the results are as follows. First, science and social science teachers in middle and high school recognized the necessity of environmental education in school education. Second, most teachers had applied environment related topics to their subject of study occasionally, but they mostly concurred that environment related contents should be included in their textbooks. Third, science teachers agreed that field trip, discussion, and the STS approach were the most proper methods for environmental education, and social science teachers agreed that field trips, inquiry, and discussion were the most appropriate methods for a teaching environment. They realized that they should decide good teaching-learning methods appropriate to the objectives and content needed for effective environmental education as they selected different teaching-learning methods according to detailed environmental objectives and contents in their textbooks.

임상간호현장에서의 실행연구 여정 (A Journey to Action Research in a Clinical Nursing Context)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of Action Research (AR) approach in nursing. Methods: Participants were 64 perioperative nurses recruited from C hospital in Gwangju, Korea. The nurses were engaged in the project through 2 cycles of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. A mixed-methods design was used to examine changes in participants and their knowledge management practice. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program and qualitative reflection data underwent content analysis. Results: During the project, participants developed standardized pre-operative checklists and opened an Internet Cafe to better manage their perioperative nursing information. At the end of the project, there was a significant increase in nurses' knowledge management (p=.015) and the rate of surgical material prescription errors decreased from 8.0% to 2.9%. Core AR project team members' teamwork skills and organizational commitment increased significantly (p=.040, p=.301, respectively). The main themes that emerged from the qualitative data were learning how to solve problems in practice, facilitating team activities through motivation, barriers of large participation, and rewarded efforts and inflated expectations. Conclusion: The AR project contributed to empowering participants to solve local problems. AR is a useful methodology to promote changes in practices and research participants.

세계군인체육대회 참가과정에서 여성군인의 경험과 정체성 교섭 : 비판적 페미니즘적 접근 (The Experience and Identity Negotiation of Women Soldiers in the Participation Process of the CISM Military World Games : A Critical Feminism Approach)

  • 이 연구는 세계군인체육대회에 참가한 여성군인의 경험과 상호교차적 환경에서의 정체성 교섭에 대해 의미를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구참여자는 눈덩이표집법에 의해 세계군인체육대회에 참가한 여성군인 3명을 선정했다. 자료수집은 심층 면담을 진행했다. 수집된 자료는 면담내용의 시간적 흐름에 따라 내러티브 분석을 통해 내용의 의미를 이해하려고 했다. 결과는 시간적 흐름에 따라 운동입문에서 군 입대 전, 군 입대, 군대 생활, 세계군인체육대회 참가계기와 과정, 세계군인체육대회가 끝난 후의 이야기로 구성되었다. 스포츠와 군 사회는 성을 이분법적 담론으로 내재화하고 있었으며, 이런 양성불평등적 인식에 대해 여군들은 자신의 능력개발을 통해 정체성을 확립하고 있었다. 하지만 여군이 처한 현실은 여전히 보수적이었으며, 제도적 사회문화적 인식이 개선되어야 할 것으로 보인다.

Effects on the Use of Two Textbooks for Four Types of Classes in a South Korean University

  • This paper determined students' ranks of difficulty on the use of materials in terms of 1) understanding the layout of the learning materials, 2) reading comprehension of the learning materials, and 3) realization on relevance to needs of the learning materials. It also determined students' 4) rank and frequency of attitude on the materials. With the data gathered through 128 survey questionnaires, 7 focused group discussions, and 10 interviews, the results were found out that there was an inappropriate assessment procedure set by this particular university. The researcher concludes that: 1) design of four types of classes by just using the two textbooks with their respective workbooks is grammar-based with limited conversation activities; 2) placement for these students in one big class size was implemented without considering their common interest and motivation and language levels; and, 3) qualification of teachers teaching these EFL students did not support students' real needs and the language program itself. Content professors who were made to teach may have the ability to input learning, but their teaching styles may differ from the ones who are real English teachers. This paper then recommends that teachers and school administration should have an appropriate placement exam before students attend the class, especially in a big class size. There could only be a few problems among students in one big class size when students' level of competence is proportioned. With this, topics and conversation activities can even be more flexible with the maneuver of art of questioning, various dimensions of thinking, strategic competence, learning attitude or behavior, etc. to ensure sustenance of communicative mode and level of interest and motivation in the classroom. Grammar-based instruction can only be taught when a need arises. Thus, the course description of each class will be able to transact the objectives ready for developing students' communication competence. Moreover, proper measurement can be utilized to validly assess the amount of students' learning and the progress of language curriculum design in terms of materials selection and teaching approach.

재독한인1세대 여성의 가치관과 정체성의 변화과정에 대한 생애사 연구 (A Biographical Study on Changeprocess of Values and Identities of the First-Generation Korean-German Females in Germany)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 재독한인1세대 여성들의 이민생활에 나타난 가치관과 정체성의 변화과정을 초국가적 관점에서 생애사적 접근을 통해 재구성하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 Schutze의 생애사적-내러티브 인터뷰 10개를 실시하였고, 인터뷰 자료는 그의 생애사적-내러티브 인터뷰 분석과 Mayring의 질적 내용분석 방법을 응용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 이민 초기의 가치관은 집단주의 중심적 혼성성을 보였는데, 이민생활과정에서 개인주의 중심적 혼성가치관으로 전환되고 있음을 포착하였다. 한편, 이민초기의 정체성은 단일지역적 정체성을 보였는데, 이민생활과정에서 이중지역적, 이중국가적 혼성정체성으로 초지역적, 초국가적 전환이 이루어지고 있음을 밝혔다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거해 이민생활에 나타난 가치관과 정체성의 변화과정에 주목한 이론적 및 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

지역사회 중년 및 고령여성의 건강문제와 대처경험: 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 중심으로 (A Study on Experiences of Health Problems and Coping in Middle-aged and Elderly Women in the Community: Focusing on Focus Group Interview Approach)

  • Purpose: The aim of this qualitative study is to explore the health problems and coping experiences of middle-aged and elderly women in the community. Methods: A total of five focus group interviews were conducted with three groups of middle-aged and two groups of elderly women. All interviews were recorded and transcribed. Data were analyzed using the content analysis method. Results: Health problems were categorized as confusion caused by problems that are difficult to handle alone in the middle-aged group and suffering originated by confronting changes in roles and environment in the elderly group. The health problems included stress, suffering, anxiety and social withdrawal as subcategories for the middle-aged women, and the stress, sense of loss, fear, and limited social activities caused by their life events for the elderly women. Meanwhile, the contents of categories about coping were revealed as the beginning of care for the body and mind for healthy life in the middle-aged group and active practice with insight into a healthy lifestyle in the elderly group. While the middle-aged women focused on themselves, attempted changes and started to take care of themselves, the elderly women interacted with the outside world, hardened their mind, made efforts for a dignified death, and managed health by their own methods. Conclusion: There were differences in the experiences of middle-aged and elderly women in accepting their health problems and coping. Nursing interventions reflecting these findings can help to manage and promote the health of middle-aged and elderly women based on an integrated perspective.

두명의 한국 중학교 과학 교사들의 과학 수업 경험에 대한 현상학적 분석 (Two Middle School Science Teachers' Experiences of Teaching Science in the Republic of Korea: A Phenomenological Analysis)

  • 이 연구는 두명의 중학교 과학 교사의 과학 수업이 어떻게 한국의 독특한 교육 상황에 의해 영향을 받으며, 이러한 수업 경험이 그들에게 가지는 의미가 무엇인지를 알아보기 위한 현상학적 해석 연구이다. 특히 본 연구는 두 과학 교사가 어떻게 교수 방법을 선정하며 외부적인 상황 즉 교육과정, 학교정책, 환경, 문화, 학생들의 학습동기등이 어떻게 과학 교사들의 교수 방법, 수업 실제에 영향을 미치는지에 중점을 두었다. 이 연구는 두 달간 대도시의 한 중학교에서 시행되었으며, 각 참여 교사에 대한 수업 관찰과 수업 관찰 후 이루어진 인터뷰가 주요 데이터로 사용되었다. 연구 결과는 현상학적 연구 방법에 의해 분석, 기록되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 첫째, 과학 수업에서 다루어야 할 과중한 교과 내용의 양과 제한된 수업 시간등의 외부적 요인들이 중등학교 과학교사들의 수업에 대한 신념이나 경험에 상관없이 수업의 형태를 결정하는 중요한 요인이라는 것을 보여준다. 둘째, 사교육을 통해 이루어지는 학생들의 과학교과 선행학습과 학생들이 수업에 참여할때 나타나는 낮은 학습 동기가 각 교사의 교사의 역할에 대한 인식에 영향을 미치며, 궁극적으로 교사들의 교수 방법 선정에 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여준다.

고등학교 생물과 탐구 학습의 실태 조사와 문제점 분석 (Inquiry Learning in the high School Biology: Status Survey and Problem Analysis)

  • This study analyzed the problem associated with inquiry centered science education and formulated some improvement Strategies for inquiry learning in the standard Korean high school course. In order to attain the goals of questionaire survey methods were used. To examine the current status of biology education, seperate questionaires were developed through an educational research and development procedure used for tearchers and student. The questionaires were developed to ask about instruction and evaluation methods, the level of inquiry learing and abstacles to it. Here are some of our results: 1) Biology instruction and learning is more knowledge-orinted than inquiry-orinted, 2) Inquiry approach in science teaching is hard to be applied because of crowed classroom conditions. 3) The material is too broad in range and too difficult in content. There is virtually nothing that can be related to everyday life. The material focusing on inquiry activities is unsatisfactorily selected and organized. 4) Effective methods of inquiry-based instruction and evaluation are not available. 5) Biology teachers are burdened with too many class hour a week and too many varieties of additional works. 6) 91.1% of biology teachers and 90.3% of students recognize that lab and field works are needed to enhance inquiry learning. However, in reality, such inquiry activities are lacking. 7) 73.3% of schools have no lab assistants. 8) The university entrance examination is the greatest factor against inquiry learning. 9) There are very few chances of in-service education for biology teachers to learn more about biology curriculum and science education theory.

심상치료가 유방 절제 여성의 성격특성과 대처전략에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Imagery Therapy on Coping Mechanism and Type C Personality in the Women with Mastectomy)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of imagery therapy on "coping mechanism and type C personality of the women with mastectomy. To achieve this purpose, 2 hours sessions of imagery therapy were given to the patients with breast cancer twice a week for 6 weeks. The period of data collection was from July, 7th to August, 12th 2002. The participants were 30 patients, 15 experimental group, 15 control group who were treated at the G University hospital in J City. This study was designed using a quasi-experimental approach with non-equivalent Pre test-Post test Design. The themes for the Imagery Therapy Program were composed of Leuner's(1969) 12 Imagery Themes: flower, green-field, stream, mountain, house, woods, significant figures, rose, lion, ideal self-image, cave and volcano. The data were analyzed with ${\chi}2-test$ and MANOVA using the SPSS program. The course of image change of the 12 imagery themes was analyzed by content analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First Hypothesis, 'The score of type C personality in the women with mastectomy who received imagery therapy will be significantly lower than that of the control group' was supported(p<.05). Second Hypothesis, 'The score of coping mechanism' in the women with mastectomy who received imagery therapy will be significantly higher than that of the control group' was rejected. In conclusion, imagery therapy is suggested as an effective nursing intervention to change type C personality of the women with mastectomy, but not effective to improve coping mechanism. Therefore, the program for the women with mastectomy should be developed to change their coping mechanism, method of problem solving and Quality of life.
