  • In this study, the selection attributes of contemporary dance audience were constructed based on prior study and the selection attributes of contemporary dance performance were identified through EFA(Exploratory Factor Analysis). Therefore, Six attributes were derived: physical evidence, tickets, people, information, product, and reputation. Based on these attributes, the selected attributes were identified through 'ETPB(Extended Theory of Planned Behavior)' to see if they affect ticket purchase behavior. In result, Among the selection attributes of contemporary dance performances, three attributes of reputation, people and product influenced the audience's attitude, while only product and human attributes influenced the purchase intention of tickets. Among the variables of ETPB to enhance the ability to purchase intention of tickets, audience attitude, perceive behavior control, and prior knowledge have had a positive effect on purchase intention of tickets, except for subjective norm. Therefore, it is meaningful that this study presented and verified empirically the attributes of select centered on visitors, which can improve the intention of purchasing tickets for contemporary dance performances.

Second, In order to fill the lack in the early history of Chinese dance, the Chinese scholar often use a drawing of earthenware or mural. However, in certain cases, the same drawing by the other observer to be interpreted differently. In this case, if use as evidentiary material, there is a problem. Third, Most contemporary Chinese scholars usually say that the origins of dance is labor. It is to have originated from materialistic historical view can be said. • The study used four basic formats classified based on the four principles on costumes discussed in the paper 'Human Beings and Arts Phenomena' by Oskar Schlemmer who studied the relationships between stage space and the human body as an analysis tool with regard to analyses on the abstraction of human body in contemporary dance costume. Abstraction of human body expressed in costume for contemporary dance is as follows: Expansions caused by unclear boundary between spaces and costumes, and the principles of three-dimensional abstract spaces based on a geometric cube change heads, trunks, arms and legs to achieve expansions. Similar mechanical shape is a type of shape made in a succession of functional principles of human body in relationships with spaces. As mechanical mechanism is added to the geometric transformation of a specific part of human body, mechanicalness is contained in it. Motion organisms are geometric simplification of moving traces in a space based on conversion into mechanical organisms based on principles of motion, and as mechanical rotation, consecutive speed caused by refraction and directionality are suggested, mobility is achieved. Immaterial shape is based on change into a metaphysical form, and it is converted into animals, plants or a third life that symbolize body parts. It has metaphysical significance in each body part and extends sensibility. As a result of the study, development into abstract succession and a techno art mode has been confirmed. Combination of geometric cubic figures with the organic human body and configuration of the human body pursued by Oskar Schlemmer's geometric abstraction through the proactive accommodation of mechanical aesthetics has been succeeded and expressed in the contemporary dance costumes.

  • This study examined the effects of complex dance program(ballet, contemporary dance, yoga) on the body composition, BDNF, and serotonin of delivery women, by providing this program for 12 weeks to 14 women(within one year delivery: seven woman, 1-3 years after delivery: seven women). In the results of body composition, in the main effects in accordance with period, both groups showed significant decreases of body fat percentage. The fat-free mass was significantly increased in the group of women within one year after childbirth(t=3.821, p=.009). Regarding BDNF and serotonin, there were no interactive effects between groups and periods while the main effects did not show differences between groups and periods(p>.05). In the results of correlation analysis and regression analysis on BDNF, body composition, and serotonin, the BDNF and serotonin showed the positive correlation(p=.025). In the results of simple regression analysis, the explanatory power was 17.9%(r=.424, $r^2=.179$).

  • This study aims to examine the present (Western) modern dance by analyzing the works of three choreographers who are currently at the forefront of the dance scene to identify and understand the current choreographic trend. The three selected choreographers for this study are Justin Peck (USA), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Belgium) and Zach Morris (USA). These choreographers were chosen on the basis of their significant identity within the current dance scene. For analysis, one noteworthy works of each choreographer were selected for video analysis. The result of the analysis illustrates that in the current era of promoting technology convergence in the performing arts industry, the three choreographers approach convergence differently by integrating dance and other mediums in their choreography. Peck converges between ballet and the ordinary, Cherkaoui converges between dance and other cultures and Morris converges between dance and venue.
