An Analysis of LCL Export Freight by Transportation Mode in Busan Area (부산지역 수송수단별 LCL 수출화물 특성 분석)

  • As Korea has the economic structure heavily depending on exporting commodities, the importance of both maritime and air transportation mode is significant. Accordingly, for the sustainable and stable export the freight transportation market by mode needs to be developed complementarity each other. This paper, therefore, aims at analysing the LCL commodities transported by the two mode in terms of unit price, freight charge bearability and price structure. For this around 500 bill of lading(B/L) are collected and analysed resulting in deriving the distinctive characteristics of commodities by mode and the implication for price policy.

  • Trade turnover between asia including our country and China and South America including Brazil the Chile is increasing continuously. That key item is diversified very from the raw materials to the agriculture and marine products, the industrial product and the mineral. The international transportation of these freight mainly depends in the aircraft and the container liner. But, in order to pass through the most various port of call is makes transshipment cargo and the long lead-time. so the goods expense of the style increases. The research proposed logistics network's construction between the main harbors of Korea and Ecuador. These nation according to great circle navigation is contiguous geographically in order to confront Pacific Ocean. These nation is contiguous geographically in order to confront Pacific Ocean by the great circle navigation. Specially Korea will become the hub-port of Northeast Asia and South America, which is caused by direct logistics lines's establishment.

A Study on the Decision-Making Factors of Street Turn Platform (복화운송 플렛폼 사용의사 결정요인 분석에 대한 연구)

  • The Street Turn system in South Korea has been developing continuously with the advancement of information technology; however, this has not lead to an increase of the Street Turn transportation volume. As a result, this study presents the decision-making factors for using the system from the standpoint of users of the existing Street Turn transportation system. The people who have used domestic Street Turn transportation services or who are working in a shipping company were analyzed using Fuzzy-AHP. A total of five major factors and 17 detailed factors were derived from this analysis. As a result, timeliness was selected as the most important major factor, and in particular, the information provision time (0.207) was selected as the most important factor, followed by platform use process (0.079), and number of participating shippers (0.074).

  • Since the unprecedented hydrogen fluoride leak accident in 2012, there has been growing demand for customized technical information for rapid response and chemical accident management agencies including the Ministry of Environment, the National Emergency Management Agency, and the National Police Agency need more information on chemicals and accident management. In this regard, this study aims to provide reliable technical data and guidelines to initial response agencies, similar to accident management technical reports of the US and Canada. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews on initial response agencies like fire stations, police stations, and local governments to identify new information items for appropriate initial response and improvements of current guidelines. We also collected and reviewed the Canada's TIPS, US EPA's hydrogen fluoride documents, domestic and foreign literature on applicability tests of control chemicals, and interview data, and then produced items to be listed in the technical guidelines. In addition, to establish database of on-site technical information, we carried out applicability tests for accident control data including ① emergency shut down devide, safety guard, shut down valve, ground connection, dyke, transfer pipe, scrubber, and sensor; ② literature and field survey on distribution type and transportation/storage characteristics (container identification, valve, ground connection, etc.); ③ classification and identification of storage/transportation facilities and emergency management methodslike leak prevention, chemicals control, and cutoff or bypass of rain drainage; ④ domestic/foreign analysis methods and environmental standards including portable detection methods, test standards, and exposure limits; and ⑤ comparison/evaluation of neutralization efficiency of control chemicals on toxic substances.

  • 국내 대부분의 컨테이너 운송업체에서 컨테이너 운송을 담당하는 차량의 형태는 자차, 위탁차와 용차의 세 가지로 분류된다. 자차와 위탁차는 차량 운영은 동일한 명령 체계를 따르나, 위탁차의 경우는 실제 해당기업과 개별 계약을 맺어, 각 차량이 명령을 수행한 물량에 따라 변동되는 수익을 얻게 된다. 용차의 경우는 수주 물량을 별도로 이들 업체에 할당시키며, 차량 운영 체제도 별도로 운영되게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 국내 운송업체에서 실제 운영하고 있는 세 가지 타입의 차량을 어떻게 운영하는 것이 가장 운송업체에 이익을 가져다 줄 것인가를 목표로 컨테이너 운송 요율의 특성을 반영한 배차계획을 수립하는 접근방법을 제시한다. 이를 위해 차량 운영 계획에 대한 수리적 모형을 구축하며, 이를 해결하는 탐색적 해법을 제시하도록 한다.

  • According to the rising of national economic level, domestic consumption of vegetables having high additive values is increased continuously due to increased consumption of meat in last decade. These vegetables are produced almost in this country and are limited to import from neighbor countries in due of high transportation expenses for storing in refrigerated container. It is very important to mechanize the harvest work, forming more than 30% for their production cost, in order to cultivate variable vegetables at the same time according to their harvesting seasons. In this state its former harvest methods, with using of human power or semi-automatic harvest, caused to increase their production cost due to high labor cost and low working efficiency.

DMT Transport System Analysis for Rail Logistics Efficiency (철도물류 효율화를 위한 DMT수송시스템 현황분석)

  • In light of the growing traffic congestion problem and congestion cost, the container transport by railway has to be increased. The freight transport by railway can have decided advantages over trucks in terms of energy efficiency, emissions and cost for certain freight movements, just as transportation in the metropolitan region can have great advantages over driving truck. But the freight transport by truck should gain significant mobility benefits from a freight railway system. Thus, the DMT(Dual Mode Trailer) transport system which is coupled railway transport advantages with load transport advantages has been developed and used in the european countries. The DMT transport will therefore serve the areas required by transport organizers. This paper describes the various DMT transport systems and its strength and weakness.

  • In recent time there are vigorous requirement for the use of thick steel plate in various industrial fields including shipbuilding industry. Especially, with the continual increases in marine transportation volumes on a global scale, the steel of container ships have become thicker and thicker with the increased size of ships. In addition to, the brittle crack arrestability of heavy thick plates were big issue, in recently. In this study, crack arrest test were conducted in order to investigate the crack arrestability of thick plates for shipbuilding steels, where test plate thickness were 50mm and 80mm. This paper introduce the brittle crack arrestability of heavy thick plates for shipbuilding.

A Study on the Economical Feasibility Analysis For Development of Dual Mode Trailer System

Consequently, this study analyzed the characteristics of the DMT system. The horizontal load.unload system is being considered as an adoptable DMT system in consideration of the situation in Korea.

  • On May 12th, 2007 a merchant vessel of Golden Rose (South Korea) sank into near 38 mile from Yentai in China after the vessel collided with a container vessel of Jinsung (China), leaving all 16 sailors, including seven South Koreans, missing. According to the official report. The Chinese vessel, authorities, and South Korean government did not coordination q rescue and salvage for the sailors and vessel properly as follows: 1) The Chinese vessel left the scene without rescue and salvage of the sailors, 2) Chinese authorities failed to comply with law of the sea that required them to report the collision to South Korea immediately after confirming the accident, and 3) The South Korean government is also being criticized for its slow response to the incident since the government did not set up a response team until 21 hours after the incident. In order to reduce this number of sailor missing in future incidents, this research is studied regarding assembling conferences, assigning SRR in ASEAN+3, simplicity to enter other territory waters and cooperative training and education for the SAR.
