  • Most of countries differ from their favors, in Taiwan fruit juice and sweet taste are emphasized while external appearance in Japan. During transportation, movement of the container, fluctuation of temperature, decrease of the fruit freshness and undesirable packing materials tend to decline fruit marketability. For these problems, it is believed that shortening of boarding time by utilization of plate and styro form box for packing, the author believed.

  • The main purpose of this study is to design the port marketing strategies for strengthening the competitive power of container terminal. So far many attempts have been made to analyze the international competitiveness of the terminal. Six factors hypothesized by this study come from previous research analyses about customers preference for port selection. Those are Cost Centrality and Intermediacy Free trade port Inland transportation connections Political and Economic institution and Port facilities. this study analyzes the most important factors about hob port and transhipment port separately through questionnaire analysis about users(shipper shipping company and freight forwarder) influencing on port selection. The results of this study were found as follows:

  • Recently, the change of shipping and port environment has required the new strategy from the liners, terminal operators, ports. The ports of call in the North American and European line also has changed as the Chinese ports made rapid advance. This seems to result from the fact that the trend of the container transportation by sea has developed the traditional concept, called port-to-port system that directly links between a port and another port into the network with complicated hierarchical structure reflecting costs, efficiency, and strategy of the Mega Carrier. This paper suggests the factors for Busan port to become the hub port of northeast Asia by analyzing the change of the liners' strategy along the change of the shipping and port environment, the global management of the operator of container port, and the amount of containers flowing in the northeast Asia.

  • During the operation of crane system in container yard, it is necessary to control the crane trolley position so that the swing of the hanging container is minimized. Recently an automatic control system with high speed and rapid transportation is required. Therefore, we designed a controller to control the crane system with disturbances. In this paper, Ive present the neural network two degree of freedom PID controller to control the swing motion and trolley position. Then we executed the computer simulation to verify the performance of the proposed controller and compared the performance of the neural network PID controller with our proposed controller in terms of the rope swing and the precision of position control . Computer simulation results show that the proposed controller has better performances than neural network PID with disturbances.

  • Linear motor (LM) based shuttle cars will play an important role in the future transportation systems of marine terminals to cope with increasing container flows. These systems are known as agile port terminals because of their significant advantages. However, routing for multiple shuttle cars is still an open issue. We present a network model of a container yard and propose constrained dynamic programming (DP) for its routing strategy with collision avoidance. The algorithm is a modified version of typical DP which is used to find an optimal path for a single traveler. We evaluate the new algorithm through simulation results for three shuttle cars in a mesh-type container yard.

  • At the present day, the use of containers crisscrossing seven seas and intercontinental transport has significantly increased and bringing the change on the shape of the world economy which we cannot be neglected. Additionally, with the recent technological advances in wireless sensor network (WSN) technologies, has providing an economically feasible monitoring solution to diverse application that allow us to envision the intelligent containers represent the next evolutionary development step in order to increase the efficiency, productivity, utilities, security and safe of containerized cargo shipping. This paper we present a comprehensive containerized cargo monitoring system which has adaptively embedded WSN technology into cargo logistic technology. We share the basic requirement for an autonomous logistic network that could provide optimum performance and a suite of algorithms for self-organization and bi-directional communication of a scalable large number of sensor node apply on container regardless inland and maritime transportation.

  • Recently, South korea is driving forward the strategy concerning of the logistics center of northeast asia aggressively on the purpose of promoting Busan port & Gwangyang port to the hub-port of northeast asia, In that situation, it is significant that the meaning, construction connecting between south and north railway. Namely, That is the reason why Busan port is satisfied with the combined transport system of not only marine transportation but also railway transportation completely, However, the research and policy is only focused on the connection of north-south railway so far. The ability of Buans railway equipment as the actual role of origin-destination point of TKR(Trans Korean Railway), was not reviewed. Therefore, this research is shown the problem and reality of the railway transport concerning the centralization of Busan port, and the capacity of Busan port railway facility regarding the increase of future container quantity is reviewed and analyzed Moreover, the object, shown the importance of facility expansion such as Gungbu Trans Express between Daegu and Busan and the improvement scheme for railway transportation activation through the analysis of society cost and the logistics cost of the ability of railway facility, is set up.

  • In case of Busan Port container terminals scale of a yard device chapter is small and narrow, and redundant works of device chapter facilities ability and transfer cranes are misgovernment occurring very much bemuse of this There is to the misgovernment that cannot support design ability of a container crane of quay because of this There is this in a change of marine transportation harbor environment to cross over to a large easel next of a ship, and a large problem cannot but become. Watched how redundant works were occurring in the second yards, and presented a problem Also, present the hint point tint these redundant works analyze how productivity of quay productivity and container crane is improved if solution works, and face to this.
