POST PANAMAX급 6,200 TEU CONTAINER선박의 선수부 BREAKWATER 구조 강도 평가 (Strength Assessment for Fore-Body Breakwater Structure of Postpanamax Class 6,200 Teu Container Carrier)

  • Until now, we are designing the breakwater of container vessel as cantilever structure ypically. Recently, we have designed "side shell touch type breakwater" for the first time to 6,200TEU Class Container Carrier registered on Lloyd Classification. The Lloyd Rule does not provide requirements for breakwater scantling but only recommend breakwater wave load and Lloyd Class requests for submitting the calculation results. At early design step, we had reviewed the breakwater structure through the calculation of simple beam theory with wave load recommended by Lloyd and referring to already built same size of container vessel. At the same time we had carried out F.E.M analysis of breakwater structure and had updated design, so we could verify the strength of side shell touch type breakwater at final step.

  • This paper presents the design of an optimal state feedback controller for container cranes under some design specifications. To do this, the nonlinear equation of a container crane system is linearized and then augmented to eliminate the steady-state error, and some constraints are derived from the design specifications. Designing the controller involves a constrained optimization problem which classical gradient-based methods have difficulties in handling. Therefore, a real-coding genetic algorithm incorporating the penalty strategy is used. The responses of the proposed control system are compared with those of the unconstrained optimal control system to illustrate the efficiency.

  • Air distribution occupies an important position in the smart unit load container design process for agricultural products. Inner air may be uncomfortable because of its temperature, speed, direction, and volume flow rate. It doesn't matter how efficient the ventilation equipment is if the air is not distributed well. The main aim of this study was to design the inlet and outlet fan locations of smart unit load container for agricultural products. A numerical study was performed on the effects of the location of inlet air and outlet air in relation to the container cooling sources on air distribution and thermal comfort. A concept of combining inner container cooling sources with the exhaust outlet was employed in this investigation. Also, in this research, the developed CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) models were thoroughly validated. This system was adopted for use in container spaces, where the exhaust outlet was located. In this study, the location of the inlet was derived through CFD for a container with a size of 1,100×1,100×1,700 mm, and it was derived that the inlet was located at the center of the lower part of the container for efficient air flow. It was efficient to position the outlet through the air inlet in the center of the lower part of the container at the top of the same side.

대형 컨테이너선 상갑판 해치코너부 보강판의 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Design of Upper Deck Hatch Corner Insert Plates of Large Container Carriers)

  • The objective of this paper is to calculate the fatigue strength for upper deck hatch corner insert plate of large container carriers without wave load analysis and global finite element analysis at the initial design stage. Wave load analysis and global F.E. analysis for three container carriers have been performed by GL(Germanischer Lloyd) procedure to propose the equation for hatch corner stress range which is the important factor in fatigue strength calculation. Considering the restraining effect of bulkhead, three types of equation, that is, single tight bulkhead, double tight bulkhead and support bulkhead have been proposed. Using the proposed equations, a simplified fatigue analysis based on GL rules has been performed for two container carriers of which fatigue strength analysis was carried out by GL. From the comparison between fatigue strength result of using the proposed equations and that of GL, it has been found that proposed stress range equations are useful for scantling of upper deck hatch corner insert plates for over 8,000 TEU class container carriers.

풍하중 설계 기준에 따른 컨테이너 크레인의 안정성 비교 (The Comparison of the Stability of a Container Crane according to various Wind Load Design Codes)

  • 본 연구에서는 풍하중 설계 기준에 따른 50톤급 컨테이너 크레인의 안정성을 비교${\cdot}$분석하였다. '항만시설장비기준 /크레인강 구조부분 설계 기준(KS A 1627)'과 건설교통부의 '건축물하중기준'에 의거한 풍하중이 산정되었으며, 이리한 풍하중이 컨테이너 크레인에 작용할때, 컨테이너 크레인의 각 지지점에서 발생돠는 반력을 분석함으로써 구조적 안정성을 비교${\cdot}$평가하였다. 연구결과. 컨테이너 크레인의 설계 풍하중 산정 시 설계풍속의 명확한 정의가 필요하고, 컨테이너 크레인의 구조 안정성 분석을 위하여 인장력 평가와 지반 안정성을 고려하기 위한 최대 압축력 검토의 필요성을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구는 공공디자인으로서 버스정류장 디자인에 있어 화훼식물 이용이 가능한 구도의 시설물계획과 제안에 목적이 있다. 계획에서 청주의 도시브랜드인 '직지'를 강조하기 위해 고인쇄박물관의 형태를 모티브로한 컨테이너를 디자인하고 시설물의 상층부에 설치 계획하였다. 설치될 디자인 요소들은 이용자 행태분석을 통하여 이용만족도를 높일 수 있는 시설물들을 계획하였으며, 프레임을 최대한 좁게 하고 벽면은 투명한 재질로 계획함으로써 이용자의 시야의 확장을 의도하였다. 형태의 장식성을 줄이고 색체 또한 무채색을 주도색으로 사용함으로써 주변과의 융화에 중점을 두었다.

컨테이너선의 조파저항 감소 기술에 대한 연구 (Research on Wave-Making Resistance Reduction Technology for Container Ships)

  • 본 논문에서는 컨테이너선의 조파 저항을 효율적으로 감소시킬 수 있는 기술과 관련하여 연구한 내용을 정리하였다. 컨테이너선에 적용이 가능한 조파저항 저감 기술을 개발하고 실선 설계에 사용하기 위하여 최적화 알고리즘, 선체 형상 변경 알고리즘, 선박 성능 예측 알고리즘, 자동화 알고리즘 그리고 반복적 최적 설계 기법을 적용하여 선형 최적 설계를 수행할 수 있는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 개발하였다. 선형최적 설계에 있어서 중요한 요소인 설계 변수의 적절한 설정과 설계 변수의 하한과 상한을 효율적인 설정을 위하여 민감도 분석 알고리즘을 개발하여 선형 최적 설계에 적용하였다. 개발된 컴퓨터 프로그램의 신뢰성과 실선 적용성을 예측하기 위하여 전 세계적으로 다양한 연구가 진행된 컨테이너선인 KCS(KRISO Container Ship) 선박에 대한 선형 최적 설계를 수행하였다. KCS 선박의 설계 속도인 Fn=0.26에서 선형 최적 설계를 수행하였으며, 대상 선박인 KCS 선박의 선형과 선형 최적 설계의 결과로써 도출된 선박의 선형에 대한 수치해석을 수행하여 조파 저항, 파형 그리고 파고를 구하고 서로 비교하였다. 결론적으로, 최적 선박은 대상 선박과 비교하여 조파 저항이 80.60% 감소하였고, 배수량과 침수 표면적은 각각 1.54%, 1.21% 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • The paper presents a summary of the multidisciplinary/optimization method for the preliminary design of container feeder vessel. The current scenario in the ship building industry highly focuses on container ship design and construction proving the inherent demand in maritime industry. The design accomplishes the outer circle of the design spiral giving stress in areas of Hull Form Design, Resistance & Propulsion. Empirical relations, model test results, data from built ships, class rules and latest market demands stood as the criteria for the design. Optimization of the design as per the owners requirement. class rules, and the trade route selected are the major challenges met with. Strength. reliability, structural safety and stability have been incorporated in compromising standards.

A Preliminary Structural Design Study on High Performance Container Crane

  • After the introduction of the World Trade Organization, large scale container ships are being used as a means of transportation for international trade. Therefore, improving the loading and unloading capability of container quays is the most economic way, considering the cost needed for the establishment or expansion of container quays. In this paper, a new container cargo handing system that is equipped with a high performance container crane is suggested. A structural analysis on the container crane is also conducted to decide the form and size of structural member scantlings, using NASTRAN, which is a general structure analysis program.

낙하충격하중을 받는 방사성물질 수송용기의 동적거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dynamic Behaviors of a Shipping Container Under Drop Impact Loading)

  • This paper describes dynamic finite element analyses performed to study the dynamic behaviors of a shipping container under the impact onto rigid target due to the accidental fall from the hight of 9 m. Using two and three dimensional techniques, the shipping container which gave the maximum damage, ten different drop orientations are considered ; at intervals of $5^{\circ}$ from $45^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$ According to the present results, the orientation of the shipping container which gave the maximum damage is $85^{\circ}$ from horizontal for oblique drop in the primary impact. In the optimal design of the shipping container, the impact limiter material must be considered importantly because it's proper selection affects the weight and the manufacturing cost of the shipping container. The analysis of the shipping container in this paper demonstrated that the shipping container is structurally sound relative to the regulatory drop test requirements.
