To achieve a high aspect ration of metal contact, buried contact solar cell scribe the silicon surface using laser. The Q-switched NdLYAG laser which has 1.064$\mu\textrm{m}$ wavelength use for silicon scribing with 25~40$\mu\textrm{m}$ width and 20~200$\mu\textrm{m}$ depth capabilities. The 2~3% shading losses are very low campared to the screen printing solar cell. In this paper, we investigate the silicon scribing theory and pratice, scribing system for BCSC processing.
Contact material is widely used as electrical parts. Ag-CdO has a good wear resistance and stable contact resistance. But the disadvantages of Ag-Cd alloy are coarse Cd oxides and harmful metal, Cd. Then Ag-Sn alloy that has stable and fine Sn oxide at high temperature has been developed. In order to investigate the effect of Te additional that affects the formation of the oxide layer on the surface and the formation of oxide in matrix Ag, we studied the microstructures and properties of Ag-Sn-In(-Te) material fabricated by rapid solidification process. The experimental procedure were melting using high frequency induction, melt spinning, and internal oxidation. Specimens were examined and analyzed by Transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS) and Vickers hardness. As a result, internal oxidation was completed even at $600^{\circ}C$. Te forms coarse $In_{2}TeO_{6}$ phase and makes fine and well dispersed $SnO_{2}$ Phase. 0.3 wt% Te shows favorable properties.
Nowadays there has been great interest in using heat treated cast material for press dies due to several advantages like reduction in die production costs. However, in hot press forming processes H13 forged tool steel is mostly used. Cooling performance of dies in hot press forming processes is considered as an important factor of study and also the IHTC parameter between cast material die and sheet metal should be considered as an essential. In the present study, the IHTC was calculated for the sheet metal in the hot press forming process with cast and forged material dies. The temperature measurements were performed for the sheet metal, casting and forged material dies by applying various contact pressure in hot press forming. IHTC was calculated and studied by adopting the inverse heat convection method in DEFORM-2D. Each IHTC was considered as a function of contact time and contact pressure. The experimental data were compared with calculated data obtained from the proposed equation and references.
Contact material is widely used in the field of electrical parts. Ag-CdO material has a good wear resistance and stable contact resistance. In order to establish optimizing heat treatment condition, rolling temperature and oxidation process, we studied the microstructure of Ag-CdO material with various conditions. The experimental procedure were melting using high frequency induction, heat treatment, rolling and internal oxidation. And we experimented on difference process, Post-oxidaion. In this study, we obtained the optimizing heat treatment condition was $700^{\circ}C$ for 15 min. and the optimizing rolling temperature was $730^{\circ}C$. In investigation of the microstructure of oxidized material, coarse oxide and depleted oxidation layer existed. The hardness was average Hv 70. When we used Post-oxidation, oxides were finer than prior process and depleted oxidation layer did not exist. The hardness of Post-oxidation material was average Hv 80. And the optimizing rolling temperature was $800^{\circ}C$.
The measurement of contact wire wear in electric railways is one of the key test parameters to increase speed and maintain safety in electric railways. Wear caused by continuous interaction between pantographs and contact wires has a negative effect on current collection quality and severely damaged contact wires might cause hazardous accidents. This paper introduces a non-contact optical-based contact wire wear measuring system that will replace conventional wear detecting methods conducted by maintenance vehicles or workers. The system is implemented by high-speed cameras that can collect images of contact wires during vehicle operation, a laser used to create images profile of the contact wire surface, and a computer used to process the collected images. The proposed system is designed to assist maintenance of overhead contact lines by creating geometrically plotted images of contact wires to detect contact wire wear during operation on conventional lines or high-speed lines.
Ultrasonic atomic force microscopy(Ultrasonic-AFM) can be used to obtain images of the elastic properties of a subsurface and to evaluate the elastic properties by measuring the contact resonance frequency. When a tip is in contact with the sample, it is necessary to understand the cantilever behavior and the tip-sample interaction for the quantitative and reliable analysis. Therefore, precise analysis models that can accurately simulate the tip-sample contact are required; these can serve as good references for predicting the contact resonance frequency. In this study, modal analyses of the first four modes were performed to calculate the contact resonance frequency by using a spring model, and the deformed shapes of the cantilever were visualized at each mode. We presented the contact characteristics of the cantilever with a variety of contact conditions by applying the contact area, contact material thickness, and material properties as the parameters for the FEM analysis.
The sealing performance of an elastomeric O-ring using the double layered material has been analyzed fer the contact stress behaviors that develop between the O-ring seal and the surfaces with which it comes into contact. The leakage of an O-ring will occur when the pressure differential across the seal Just exceeds the initial (or static) peak contact stress. The contact stress behaviors that develop in compressed O-rings, in common case of dovetail grooved geometry, are investigated using the finite element method. The FE analysis includes material hyperelasticity and axisymmetry. The computed FEM results show that the contact stress behaviors are related to the ratio of diameter between the inner ring and the outer ring, and the temperature of vacuum chamber.
The relay used is gradually increased. Because it is possible to easily control the high voltage and current. Bounce phenomenon is generated in contact during operation relay. As the result, arc is generated at the contact, thereby shortening the contact lifetime. In this study, we analyzed the bouncing phenomenon due to deterioration. It can be seen from the experimental results, and it is minimized at about 100,000 times. Bouncing phenomenon to increase again after the minimization. Consequently, the bouncing related to contact weight and shape of contact surface.
We have applied front contact metallization of plated nickel and copper for high efficiency passivated emitter rear contact(PERC) solar cell. Ni is shown to be a suitable barrier to Cu diffusion as well as desirable contact metal to silicon. The plating technique is a preferred method for commercial solar cell fabrication because it is a room temperature process with high growth rates and good morphology. In this system, the electroless plated Ni is utilized as the contact to silicon and the plated Cu serves as the primary conductor layer instead of traditional solution that are based on Ti/Pd/Ag contact system. Experimental results are shown for over 20 % PERC cells with the Plated Ni/Cu contact system for good performance at low cost.
The nanoimprint lithography technology makes higher density of semiconductor device and larger capacity of storage media. In this technology the induced damage while detaching polymer pattern from mold should be minimized. In order to analyze the problem, the basic knowledge of adhesion between the polymer and the mold is required. In this study a contact experiment of polyisobutylene specimen with spherical steel tip and polyisobutylene bead tip was conducted using nano indenter. During the contact experiment with various loading rate under load control the contact behavior of viscoelastic material was measured, i.e., the load and displacement between the tip and the specimen were measured. The data was analyzed by HBK model to obtain the stress intensity factor of contact edge and the contact radius as a function of time. Also the adhesion energies between steel/polyisobutylene and polyisobutylene/polyisobutylene were obtained employing the analysis of the crack of viscoelastic material by Schapery.
