TiW 박막을 이용한 극한 환경 MEMS용 3C-SiC의 Ohmic contact 형성 (Ohmic Contact Formation of SiC for Harsh Environment MEMS Using a TiW Thin-film)

  • In this study, the characteristics of 3C-SiC ohmic contact were investigated. Titanium-tungsten(TiW) films were used for contact metalization. The ohmic contact resistivity between 3C-SiC and TiW was measured by HP4155 and then calculated with the circular transmission line method(C-TLM). And also the physical properties of TiW and the interface between TiW and 3C-SiC were analyzed using XRD and AES. TiW films make a good role of a diffusion barrier and their contact properties with 3C-SiC are stable at high temperature.

SPH에 가상일 원리를 적용한 탄성 접촉 알고리즘 (An elastic contact algorithm in SPH by virtual work principle)

  • There is few research about contact problem in SPH because it is primarily suitable to analyze the large deformation problem. However, an elasto-plastic problem with small deformation need to be considered about contact characteristics. The numerical formulating methods for SPH is induced to be able to obtain solutions based on a variational method in contact problem. The contact algorithm presented is applied to the elastic impact problem in 1D and 2D. The results show thai an imaginary tension and a numerical instability which happen in impacting between different materials can be removed and contact forces which could not have been calculated are able to obtain.

  • In this paper, we discuss influence of process condition on contact resistance in WSix deposition process. In the WSix deposition process, we confirmed that word line to bit line contact resistance(WBCR) due to temperature of word line WSix deposition among various process condition split experiment. RTP treatment, d-poly ion implantation dose and thickness was estimated a little bit influence on contact resistance. Also, life time of shower head in the process chamber for WSix deposition related to contact resistance. The results obtained in this study are applicable to process control and electrical characteristics for high reliability and high density DRAM's.

  • Surface roughness plays a significant role in friction, wear, and lubrication in machine components. Most engineering surfaces have tile nogaussian height distrubution. So, in this study, elastic-plastic contact simulations are conducted for not only gaussian surfaces but also nongaussian surfaces. Nongaussian rough surface considering the kurtosis is generated numerically. The contact simulation model takes into account the plastic deformation behaviors of asperities by setting a celing on their contact pressure at material hardness value. It will be shown that the performace variables such as real contact area fraction, plastic area fraction and average gap are sensitive to the characteristics of surface geometry according to kurtosis.

  • This paper deals with the on off arc characteristics of electromagnetic relay contacts contaminated by NaCl and $H_2SO_4$. In this paper, I have studied the characteristics of on-off voltage waveform. the contact errosion, contact surface analysis by SEM and EDAX under changed R-L parameter of testing circuit. After considers these result, I have tried to promote the diagnosis method and developed the contacts. As a results, (1) The arc duration and the numbers of arc occurrence characteristics are depended on contamination degree. The contamination degree is high when the arc characteristics is high. (2) Under clean condition, arc occurrence voltage, surge peak voltage, arc duration and the rate of contact errosion is lower than wet condition. (3) Surge peak voltage and arc duration is depended on L parameter. When L is High, the arc characteristics is high.

  • The friction characteristics of contact region between vane tip and cam-ring is studied with an experimental device model. The radius of vane tip is less than 1 mm and sliding speed is lower than 10 m/s. The friction characteristics of the actual oil hydraulic vane pump is estimated on the basis of coefficient of friction. The coefficient of friction can be obtained by measuring the frictional forces in the contact region. The lubrication condition between vane and disk is modeled after the actual condition between the vane and cam-ring.

  • The modern orthopaedics frequently uses the total hip replacement in the artificial hip joint. The wear in this joint requires a re-replacement of hip joints because it is under the severe load and friction conditions. To solve these problems the previous studies have been mainly focussed on the development of new materials. The research of new materials, however, needs much time and effort since it should be experimented for its bio-compatibility, friction, and wear characteristics. To reduce the work, in this study, the finite element analysis is applied to find new combinations of bio-materials in the total hip replacement which has the excellent contact characteristics. A non-linear FEM program MARC with 5-node axisymmetric element was used for analyzing the contact stresses between the hip joints. The computed results show that in case of acetabulum UHMWP has good characteristics, in femoral head, $Al_2O_3$, and in stem, Ti6Al4V.

  • In this paper, elastic deformations of several gear teeth are analyzed. The contact between a gear and pinion is modeled as a contact problem. The deformation overlap, which is defined as the interference due to deformation of gear teeth, is defined to represent the deformation characteristics of profile shifted spur sear system. The calculated deformation overlap shows teeth interference in the deformed state of a Rear system.

고속 앵귤러 컨택트 볼 베어링의 온도특성 (Temperature Characteristics of High Speed Angular Contact Ball Bearing)

  • This paper shows the temperature characteristics of a high speed angular contact ball gearing which is 7004C type with ISO P2 tolerance class. A built-in motor type high speed spindle which adopts an oil-air lubrication system was used to measure the temperature rise up to 60,000rpm. The gearing temperature was measured using thermocouples that were attached to the outside surfaces of the outer rings. The result showed that the continuous test method which was suggested in this paper is more effective than on and off method and the lubrication oil supply rate should be reduced in high speed rolling bearings as long as the seizure does not occur. And the result were confirmed that the bearings packed with ceramic balls are superior to those with steel balls in temperature characteristics.
