This study explores the evolving landscape of consumer experiences in the context of pop-up stores, considering the shifts from product economy to service economy and now the experience economy. It investigates the factors influencing consumer word-of-mouth intentions by examining the interplay of pop-up store experiences, brand equity, brand charisma, and verbal intent. Using Schmitt's strategic experience modules and the Aaker brand equity model, the study employs quantitative methods and data analysis to uncover the relationships among these variables. Surprisingly, it finds limited associations between the aspects of the pop-up store experience and brand equity. However, it highlights the direct impact of brand equity on brand charisma, which subsequently influences consumers' intentions to share brand-related information. This research contributes to our understanding of word-of-mouth marketing for pop-up stores, filling a knowledge gap and offering valuable insights for academics and businesses navigating the evolving marketing landscape. It also emphasizes the significance of brand charisma in the context of transient in-store experiences and evolving consumer preferences.
The study explores the impact of nutritional information on calorie prediction and purchase intent. Administered through self-report questionnaires, the research employs two types of stimuli to assess the influence of nutritional information. Hamburger set images, with or without accompanying nutritional details, were randomly presented to simulate the prevalent mobile app environment for fast-food delivery. Respondents were tasked with predicting calorie content and indicating purchase intent on a Likert 7-point scale. Results show a significant difference in calorie prediction based on the presence of nutritional labeling. While consumers expect positive health effects by estimating more exact calorie information with nutritional labeling, it doesn't significantly influence purchase intent. The study also examines consumer awareness and preferences regarding nutritional labeling policies, emphasizing the need for education and promotion. Most participants recognize the necessity of mandatory nutritional labeling in fast-food establishments, especially through delivery applications, to support healthier choices and prevent obesity.

This paper delves into the application of Gestalt psychology principles in logo design. It analyzes how these principles refine design elements to bolster the efficiency and impact of visual communication. Drawing from Gestalt psychology perspectives, the theoretical foundations and application methods of logo design simplification strategies are discussed. Through the analysis of Gestalt psychology effects in various types and styles of logo designs, this study compares the applicability and differences of logo design simplification strategies under different cultural and social contexts. Furthermore, it evaluates their role and value in enhancing the innovativeness and communicative impact of logo designs. The findings suggest that strategies informed by Gestalt psychology significantly improve the organization rules within logo designs, such as the relationship between figure and ground, proximity, similarity, and continuity. Thereby they enhance perceptual clarity, cognitive load, and aesthetic satisfaction. Moreover, these strategies promote creative thinking and problem-solving abilities in logo design. The results indicate that simplified design methods not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also improve the adaptability and recognizability of logos across different media and environments. This approach aligns with the minimalist and flat design trends of today's information age, meeting the evolving needs and aesthetic preferences of consumers.

In early 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, widespread changes occurred throughout society. COVID-19 also brought changes in consumers' consumption behaviors and preferences. This study aims to find out how the current status of the tourism industry and the coffee industry has changed since the end of COVID-19 by conducting big data analysis focusing on the search frequency of Naver, Google, and the following, which are representative social networks in Korea. Designating "Coffee Industry + Tourism Industry" as the representative keyword, January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, the time of each COVID-19 outbreak, was set before the COVID-19 type, and January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 was set after the end of COVID-19. Based on the analyzed search binder big data analysis within the period, we would like to find out how the current status of the tourism industry and the coffee industry has changed since the end of COVID-19. Finaly, the coffee and tourism industries are on the path of recovery and growth. In particular, the rise in coffee consumption, the recovery of the number of tourists, the emphasis on local tourism, and the strengthening of links with global markets are prominent.
Purpose: The study aims to assess the current status of domestic public food delivery apps and analyze the process through which sellers choose between private delivery apps and public delivery apps. This involves exploring strategiesto achieve the original purpose of public food delivery apps, which is to enhance the small business owners income and promote consumer welfare by preventing the monopoly of private food delivery apps. Research design, data and methodology: the research methodology is based on a model that introduces adjustments for non-economic effects, considering the preferences of multi-homing consumers, to more realistically reflect the benefits of sellers' choices. For data analysis, real business performance data from 'Daeguro', 'Meokkaebi', and 'Somunnan Shop' were used. Results: The study revealed that if the market share of public delivery apps within a specific region increases beyond a certain level, the benefits for small-business sellers also increase. This leads to the strategic advantage of simultaneously using both delivery apps. Furthermore, the results exhibit a tendency similar to real social phenomena. Conclusions: This analysis confirmed the role of public food delivery apps in the domestic delivery app market and presents policy recommendations, including application integration and the implementation of exclusive public interest functions, to effectively fulfill this role.
Consumer preferences for food are influenced by personal values and personalities. Social, economic, and cultural developments in modern society have influenced consumer lifestyles and brought about multiple changes in consumption patterns. In the beauty market, consumers are now more interested in specialized offerings, and an increasing number of people are opting for customized products in a market structure where mass production has led to mass consumption. Hair products are now manufactured as functional cosmetics designed to maintain and improve scalp health and hair growth by removing waste from the scalp and adding fragrance for cleanliness, breaking away from the concept of general cosmetics. Many studies have focused on personalized products in the cosmetics industry. This study aimed to accurately determine scalp types and further diagnose individual scalp conditions using a scalp diagnostic device. Based on the diagnoses, it recommended and provided personalized shampoos in order to understand how these shampoos improved scalp health. By objectively analyzing and comparing scalp conditions before and after using customized shampoos, the study demonstrated a significant effect on scalp health. The results of this study confirmed the perception and effectiveness of personalized shampoos.
This study employs a qualitative meta-synthesis approach to investigate the psychological determinants of food choice in out-of-home dining contexts. Drawing from 25 qualitative studies published between 2000 and 2024, we analyze the complex interplay of personal, sociocultural, situational, and sensory factors influencing consumers' food selection behaviors in restaurants. Our findings reveal that while individual preferences play a role, social norms and expectations exert a more significant influence in dining-out scenarios, often overshadowing personal tastes. The physical environment of restaurants, including ambiance and decor, substantially impacts diners' cognitive and emotional responses, subsequently affecting their food choices. Menu design and presentation emerge as powerful tools in guiding consumer decisions, particularly when emphasizing healthier options. Moreover, service quality is found to significantly influence not only satisfaction but also the diversity and adventurousness of food choices. This meta-synthesis extends existing food choice models by incorporating context-specific factors unique to out-of-home dining experiences. It underscores the need for a more nuanced understanding of the psychological processes underlying food selection in restaurant settings. Our results offer valuable insights for both theoretical advancements in consumer behavior and practical applications in the foodservice industry. Future research directions are proposed, including the development of an integrated model specific to out-of-home dining contexts.
This study investigates the evolution and impact of contactless dining services on consumer behavior in the food service industry. Catalyzed by rapid technological advancements and the COVID-19 pandemic, these services have become integral to restaurant operations, reshaping business models and fundamentally altering consumer eating habits. Through a comprehensive analysis of domestic and international case studies, this research elucidates the definition, development, and current state of contactless dining services. The findings reveal that these innovations offer significant advantages, including enhanced convenience, efficiency, and accessibility, leading to increased dining frequency and widespread adoption of digital ordering platforms. Consumers particularly value the temporal and spatial flexibility afforded by these services, enabling food ordering from any location at any time. However, the study also identifies persistent challenges, such as the diminution of human interaction and potential exclusion of digitally disadvantaged populations. To address these issues, the research suggests that restaurants must prioritize customer satisfaction through personalized experiences and intuitive user interfaces, while concurrently developing targeted strategies to accommodate elderly and less tech-savvy clientele. The study posits that ongoing technological innovation will continue to drive industry growth by facilitating increasingly customized services aligned with evolving consumer preferences. These insights provide a valuable framework for restaurant operators.
The marketing environment has become competitive to an extent that requires firms to target their products at markets that span national boundaries. However, competitive clout cannot be achieved in global consumer markets unless firms thoroughly understand and adequately respond to the core values and needs of those consumers. Brand equity is one of the most important assets to a company. Especially in sportswear markets, brand equity is the crucial value added to a product by its brand name. Factors such as country of origin also influence customer's attitude towards brand equity. Therefore, this paper discusses the relationship between country of origin effect and brand equity, and how they influence consumers' loyalty for respective brands. This paper focused on the sports shoes market, because it is an increasing area of opportunity for world manufacturers. The objectives of this study were the following. (1) Test the effect of country of origin on brand equity. (2) Test how brand equity influences consumers' brand loyalty. (3) Find whether there are differences in the effects of country of origin and brand equity among the three countries. (4) Find whether there are differences in the effects of country of origin and brand equity among the different lifestyles. Based on the review of literature results, the hypotheses are concluded as the following: H1-a: Country image has positive influence on country of origin. H1-b: Product perception has positive influence on country of origin. H2-a: Perceived quality has positive effect on brand equity. H2-b: Perceived price has positive effect on brand equity. H3: Country of origin has positive effect on brand equity. H4: Brand equity has a positive impact on brand loyalty. Research model was constructed (see Fig. 1). After data analysis, the following results were concluded: sports shoes purchase behavior showed significant differences among Korean, Chinese, and American consumers for favorite brand, purchased brand, purchased place, information usage, and favorite sports games. The results of this study also extend the research of the relationship among country of origin, brand equity and brand loyalty to the sports shoes market. Brand equity was proven to have a significant relationship with brand loyalty for all countries. The factors which can influence brand equity are different for different countries. The third finding of this paper is that we identified different three lifestyles, adventurer, follower, and laggard, for Korean, Chinese and American consumers. Without the nationality boundary, seeing the emergence of a new group of consumers who have similar preferences and buy similar brands is more important. All of the consumers consider brand equity to keep their brand loyalty. Perceived price is the only factor which can influence brand equity for adventurers; brand is more important for them. The laggards were not influenced by any factor. All of the factors expect perceived price are important for the followers. Marketing managers should consider brand equity when introducing their brand into a new market. Also localization is the basic strategy that all the sports shoes companies should understand. But as a global brand, understanding the same characteristics for each country is more important to build global strategy.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the emotion and sensibility of fashion words in terms of words types, such as loanword and Korean words, Hangul in fashion product label and fashion manufacturing industry. We surveyed 200 persons in their 20s using the questionnaire on the stimulus of product tag label and fashion words with 15 adjectives. Based on daily usage of foreign words in fashion market, we selected 1 item label in 3 forms: 1) Hangul label written in loan words 2) Label written in English and 3) Label written in Hangul and 3 fashion words in 2 forms 1) loanword and 2) Hangul. And the label types and fashion words were analyzed and investigated in terms of consumer's sensibility, preferences and estimated product price. The results are following: consumers preferred loanword label than Hangul label, and they preferred loanword in English than that in Korean. They evaluated loanword more positively, such as refinement, gorgeous and elegant, etc. and estimated the product price of loanword label as higher. But in the sensibility of 'familiar' and 'stability', Hangul label was not significantly different to loanword written in Hangul. That is, label written in English is the highest in all the evaluation, and loanword label written in Hangul is next, and Hangul label showed the lowest result. Consumers showed the evaluation differently between loanwords and Hangul according to their degree in fashion involvement. Consumers of high fashion involvement evaluated the sensibilities of 'refinement', 'elegant', and 'gorgeous' of loanwords as higher, whereas they had tendency to evaluate the sensibilities of 'familiar' and 'stability' of Hangul as higher or similar.
