  • This study has investigated how attachment anxiety boosts the attitude on charity appeals. Drawing on the attachment theory, we tested the hypothesis that increasing attachment anxiety (both dispositionally and temporarily primed) would have favorable attitudes towards charity appeals relates to social identification. Participants in high attachment anxiety showed more favorable attitudes towards charity appeals which can fulfill their social needs. Needs for belongness mediated the relationship between charity appeals and attachment anxiety. While past research has focused on the attachment security as motivation for helping, The current study has focused on egoistic motivation for helping and examined that attachment insecurities leads more favorable attitudes towards charity appeals that fulfill their social needs. The current study demonstrates that social needs can motivate consumers' prosocial behavior. Implications for the theory of non-profit marketing are discussed.

  • The purposes of this study were to examine whether the e-promotion interest was an influencing variable on promotion-acceptance attitudes, browsing, consumer satisfaction and e-loyalty, and to investigate the predictors for e-loyalty of shopping mall according to e-promotion interests. A questionnaire was developed based on the previous researches. Data were obtained from 555 adults who had purchased fashion products in online shopping. Data were analyzed using by factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, t-test and regression. The results showed that consumers with high e-promotion interests were more likely to accept e-promotions affectively and behaviorally, to have hedonic and utilitarian browsing, to satisfy the online shopping, and to make e-loyalty compared to them with low e-promotion interests. For high interested group in e-promotion, the more cognitive and affective attitudes toward promotion acceptance they were the greater e-loyalty in the context of online shopping for fashion products. Additionally, the more hedonic browsing and satisfy the online shopping they were the greater e-loyalty of shopping mall at Internet. However, for low interested group in e-promotion interests, the more utilitarian browsing and satisfy the online shopping they were the greater e-loyalty of online shopping for fashion products. It implies that consumer' e-promotion interest was an influencing variable on promotion-acceptance attitudes, browsing, consumer satisfaction and e-loyalty in online shopping for fashion products. Consumer satisfaction played an important role for making e-loyalty of fashion shopping malls. These findings are discussed in terms of insights for developing the strategies of encouraging to make the loyalty of shopping mall in the context of purchasing fashion products at Internet.

This study used focus group interviews with 12 Vietnamese female students in order to examine the experience of the Korean wave acceptance (RQ1), the experience of internalization toward ideal beauty (RQ2) and differences of internalization towards ideal beauty depending on the living period in Korea (RQ3). First, the results of RQ1 showed that Vietnamese students were accepting the Korean wave through media, Korean and social interaction in their daily lives. They also have a positive attitude toward Korean cosmetics and K-pop among various content of the Korean wave. Second, four focal meanings were composed through RQ2. They were the standards of ideal beauty, the causes of ideal beauty internalization and the results of ideal beauty internalization. The results of ideal beauty internalization were separated into the perception dimension and behavior dimension. Last, the results of RQ3 found that the strength of internalization of ideal beauty can very depending on the living period in Korea. This study has academic implications in that it understands Vietnamese female students who become a member of Korean society from a sociocultural perspective. • Although consumer needs for better products force manufactures to put emphasis on design, often development of a product has been done without the formal phase to consider human needs. In order to identify the implicit needs of customers and the areas of potential demand on a product, several analysis scheme such as QFD(quality function deployment) has been developed. For this, first of all, the methods for evaluating consumers satisfaction about their needs must be determined. However there were only few systematic methods on shoe design. In this paper we developed an innovative framework for human satisfaction evaluation of shoes. As a result, we uncovered 29 dominant human satisfaction dimensions for customer-oriented quality evaluation of a comfortable shoes. Here, 29 satisfaction dimensions were identified as the dimensions that represent the human sensitivity and psychological feeling on comfortable shoes. This study helped the designers and developers clarify the conceptual and abstract aspect of the design evaluation by proposing a more systematic and process-oriented method.

  • The whole crisis of human being derived from environmental pollution has changed the human -centered paradigm into the ecological paradigm based on the harmony of human and nature, which have made it inevitable for designers to participate in the environmental problem-solving. In the line of this sense, it is necessary for designers to recognize the social and ethical responsibility for environmental pollution and to change into the designing for environment, not for sale itself. In accord with the context above, the purpose of this study is to suggest some clues for resolving environmental problems with the analysis of design for long-selling product, as we call, product durability analysis. That is, this study is under some assumptions that designing durable product and durable product itself are able to extend a product life cycle, delay a product disusing, reduce a rash development competition for new product among companies, mitigate consumption-oriented attitude of consumers, eliminate a waste of resources, and go far toward the environmental problem solving.

  • The Main objective of this study is to find consumer attitude toward the Sanitary Regulation of Foods. In view of consumerism, this result will be used in re-regulating the law. Among the Sanitary Regulation of Foods, this study focuses on the Standard of prepackaged Food Labelling, because it is related both with the advertising from the food manufacturer's point of view and with the perception about the food itself from the consumer's point of view. After reviewing the previous studies and related provisions about the Standard of Prepackaged food Labelling, and compare other sanitary regulation of foods in developed countries (U.S.A. and Japan), basic research framework was derived. The research framework focuses on the user perception about the validity of provisions about the Standard of Prepackaged Food Labelling, and on the existance of exaggeration in food advertising using prepackaged foods. Data were collected through questionaires from the sample covering 374 food customers. The data were analyzed by frequency test and the important findings of this study are as follows. Most food consumers consider such provisions as date of manufacturing, circulation time limit, cautions for food handling, price, and manufacturer as important factors in buying food products. Among these factors, the date of manufacturing and circulation time limit are most critical factors, and must be labelled correctly on the prepackaged food cover. But other provisions which do not affect on consumer's buying decision (e.g. business admission number, self standard number) need not be labelled. From this study, we can conclude that the provisions about the standard of prepackaged Food Labelling currently used must be devided into two parts. One is 'mandatory provisions' which must be obeyed by all food manufacturets, and the other is 'autonomous provisions' which need not be obeyed by all food manufacturers. And mandatory provisions need to be regylated more strongly than now.
