  • As more famous and luxurious fashion brands enter the online market, the changes in the online market include those in the composition of merchandise, price image, and consumer behavior. Focusing on these changes, this study examines the relation of consumer price attitude and impulse buying behavior towards internet apparel purchases. Data were obtained from 377 males and females in their 20s-40s who purchased apparel from an internet mall. Convenience sampling through the internet was performed. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, and regression analysis using SPSS for Windows 12.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, four dimensions of consumer price attitudes towards internet apparel purchases were found that included price-quality/prestige, sale, value for money, and low price orientation. Second, the influence of consumer price attitude on impulse buying is significant. As the price attitude of price-quality/prestige orientation and sale orientation increases, impulse buying orientation is stronger. Third, there are partially significant differences on the sub-dimensions of consumer price attitude and the influence of price attitude on impulse buying by gender and age. This study will be of help to internet companies by providing information in regards to a price attitude-based marketing strategy and an adequate response to customer impulse buying.

Both the specific gravity and color of gluten-free rice bread were higher than those of commercial rice and wheat bread. The sensory descriptive analysis revealed that the adhesiveness, fracturability, fermentation odor, and the powdery mouthfeel of gluten-free rice bread were higher than those of commercial rice and wheat bread. In contrast, the sweet odor, sweetness, egg taste, butter taste, and milk taste of gluten-free rice bread were lower than those of commercial rice and wheat bread. The consumer acceptability results revealed differences regarding odor, appearance, taste, texture, and overall acceptance between a blind test and an informed test of gluten-free rice bread, commercial rice, and wheat bread. The consumer acceptability findings were associated with those of the sensory descriptive analysis. In overall, the results indicated that the quality of gluten-free rice bread can be improved by controlling the decrease of adhesiveness, fracturability, and powdery mouthfeel.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the mother and teachers need assessment for preschooler consumer education and related variables and to provide a basis for the development of consumer education program. The survey of this research was conducted by means of self-administered questionnaire with 302 mothers of the preschoolers who are 4-5 years old and attend nursery and kindergarten and 221 teachers of nursery and kindergarten in Ulsan. The statistics used for data analysis are frequencies and percentage, mean and standard deviation, on way ANOVA and Scheffee-test, Person's correlation using the SPSS/PC+ program. Some conclusions from the above investigation are as follows: 1. Each level of the need for consumer education on 22 subject area perceived by mothers and teachers of preschoolers was high and relatively high. Thus consumer education program for preschooler must include all subject area. 2. The mother's need for preschooler consumer education differs significantly according to age. The teacher's need for preschooler consumer education differs significantly according to family income. But these variables take a little effect to the need of mother and teacher. So the consumer education program doesn't need to classify by socio-economic characteristics of mother and teacher. 3. The mother's need for preschooler consumer education are positively correlated to consumer knowledge and consumer skill but negatively correlated to consumption oriented attitude. So the consumer education program needs to develop the consumer knowledge and skill and reduce consumption oriented attitude for the preschooler's mother. 4. The teacher's need for preschooler consumer education are positively correlated to the level of consumer role performance. Thus the reeducation program for the teacher needs to develop the consumer role performance.
