An offshore plant is an offshore platform that can process oil and gas resources in rough seas with a poor working environment. Moreover, it is a complex structure with different types of offshore facilities and a large amount of outfitting that connects different offshore installations. In particular, an enormous amount of various piping materials is installed in a relatively narrow space, and thus, the difficulty of working is relatively high compared to working in ships or ground plants. Generally, when the 3D detailed design is completed, an offshore plant piping process is carried out at the shipyard with ISO 2D fabrication drawings and ISO 2D installation drawings. If a worker wants to understand the three-dimensional piping composition in the working area, he can only use three-dimensional viewers that provide limited functionality. As offshore plant construction progresses, correlating work with predecessors becomes more complicated and rework occurs because of frequent design changes. This viewer function makes it difficult to identify the 3D piping structure of the urgently needed part. This study deals with the process support method based on a system using a 3D simulator to improve the efficiency of the piping process. The 3D simulator is based on the Unity3D engine and can be simulated by considering the classification and priority of 3D models by the piping process in the system. Further, it makes it possible to visualize progress information of the process. In addition, the punch content can be displayed on the 3D model after the pipe inspection. Finally, in supporting the data in relation to the piping process, it is considered that 3D-simulator-supported piping installing could improve the work efficiency by more than 99% compared to the existing method.
Since most construction workers comprehend information on work through sight, the importance of safety signs are increasing by the day. In Korea, due to the sharp economic progress and the higher standard of the workforce, since the end of 1980, each year the number of foreign workers entering the country who working simple technical jobs have increased this condition. This study researched safety signs, which are the final accident prevention measures at the workplace. Based on the study, comprehension of the standard safety signs of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) was lacking at a level of 2.5. Also, the perception level of the Industry Public Safety Law (38%) was very low. And, it was found that sex and experience or non-experience in safety training was not an issue in the level of understanding. However, when satisfying the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and changing the safety signs, the level of understanding went up to 3.49 and the perception level was increased significantly to 70%. Thus, it is concluded that, since the foreign workers are mainly from non-English speaking countries and because the workers of Korea are not familiar with English, in order to provide proper safety information, there must first of all be simplistic and concise pictograms. This will provide needed information and must be coupled with simple English words that can give additional information to the worker and be effective in helping him understand and perceive the safety sign. Also, it has been determined that the existing forms of safety signs and their effectiveness in industry accident prevention must be reassessed.

Concrete surface grinding is frequently used for flatness of concrete surface, concrete pavement rehabilitation, and adhesiveness in pavement construction. The procedure is, however, labor intensive and has a hazardous work condition. Also, the productivity and the quality of concrete surface grinding highly depend on the skills of worker. Thus, the development of remote controlled concrete surface grinding equipment is necessary to prevent the environmental pollution and to protect the workers from hazardous work condition. However, it is difficult to evaluate the grinded surface objectively in a remote controlled system. Also, The machine vision system developed in this study takes the images of grinded surface with the network camera for image processing. Then, by representing the quality test results to the integrated program of the remote control station, the quality control system is constructed. The machine vision algorithm means the image processing algorithm of grinded concrete surface and this paper presents the objective quality control standard of grinded concrete surface through the application of the suggested algorithm.
This study analyzed the development status and applications of collision avoidance systems for mine safety management. The definitions of collision avoidance system used in Australia and USA were compared. Sensing technologies utilized in the collision avoidance systems were reviewed. In addition, several collision avoidance systems developed in oversea mining company, such as $MineAlert^{TM}$ Collision Awareness System, Cat $MineStar^{TM}$, and Intelligent Proximity Detection, were reviewed. In the domestic mining industry, no collision avoidance system was used. However, similar systems were utilized in the construction and railroad industry. Collision avoidance system can prevent unexpected collision accident and thus improve worker's safety in mine. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and apply sensors and system appropriate for the domestic mining environment via review of overseas collision avoidance system.
The research intends to analyse the life experiences of a Korean woman in Germany from the insider's view. Biographical data of A are analysed using Rosenthal's narrative-biographical interviews methode. Findings show that the life of A is in the process of 'becoming-work migrant woman', who jolts and 'deterritorializes' standard criteria of 'majority', which her colonize. Furthermore is analysed, that the 'becoming-work migrant women' as the construction of assemblage of 'becoming-worker', 'becoming-migrant', 'becoming-woman' is the fluid process of 'becoming-minority', which constructs constantly another assemblage of them, and is also the 'politics of difference' and the 'politics of becoming'. Based on the research results, some implications for social welfare practice are suggested.
After the rapid growth of economics in South Korea 1960'1, the number of workers in the whole land in-creased day after day along with the growth of industry. As the growth of the third industry occurred quite rapid-ly, the rate of office workers went up high. Accordingly the business office has been changed the primary work-ing space and recognized the main space as much as the living space. As a result of conceptual change about working place, the business office has an important ef-fect on worker's liberal and psychological environment. In order to provide the office workers with the office work-ers with the suitable and convenient working environ-ment, Socio-psychological factors were first considered at the first stage of construction planning. In this paper, I would understand both how office workers take up their attitudes of Socio-psychological point according to the office type and what they claim for their office environment. This understanding offers us fundamental data in office plan. This paper starting from this purpose got the following conclusions. *Office workers are violated their hearing privacies rather than their visual privacies. They are dissatisfied with ensuring their own spaces and satisfied with their nature of domain. *In the feeling of satisfaction by office type, they are on the whole satisfied with their hearing privacies, their visual privacies, their own space, and the nature of do-main in the closed type and mixed type offices. In open type offices, their visual privacy is often violated. *In the property by individual, men feel more violated their hearing privacies than women. In the personal spa-se and domain, women are less stabilized psycholo-gically than men. *The analysis of the attitude by position, a man of po-sition is more violated his hearing privacy and does not understand each other. The common run of workers are violated their visual privacies and the nature of separa-tion.
In general, collections in museum are kept in storage according to a preservation and administration program in long or short term, after conservators' conservation treatment. Museum activities related to conservation science are common to do before and after exhibitions. That is, the museum collections include a flow mechanism, which circulate a space in where conservation science related activity is carried on centering around its storage. The purpose of this study is to suggest the design guidelines of a conservation area in a museum. The results of this study as follows. First, to program space planning, conservation area of museum is divided into 4 kinds of zone. Second, space for relics unloading in basically includes 'unloading room', 'control room', 'worker room', 'unpacking room', and 'unloading tools storage' and considers to install 'outdoor arrangement space', etc. In case of space for making relics collections, 'arrangement room' and 'temporary storage' are separately planned in order to arrange and temporarily store relics taken in. Conservation analysis space should be divided into 2 kinds of zone, 'conservation analysis lab' for analysis of collection characters and 'restoration lab' for conservation treatment in the bigger museum. In case of large-scale museum, conservation treatment space is basically classified with characters of museum collections. And it considers installing 'waterlogged wood lab', 'painting clothes treatment lab', 'storage of treated relics' etc. Third, for 'the spaces for analysis treatment', must consider activity contents and sizes of the department for scientific conservation every museum, can classify in detail required space, and must review the space for relics settlement in construction.
In order to create a worker-friendly environment for institutional foodservice, facilities operating with a dry kitchen system have been recommended. This study was designed to compare the work safety and work environment of foodservice between wet and dry kitchen systems. Data were obtained using questionnaires with a target group of 303 staff at 57 foodservice operations. Dry kitchen facilities were constructed after 2006, which had a higher construction cost and more finishing floors with anti-slip tiles, and in which employees more wore non-slip footwear than wet kitchen (76.7%). The kitchen temperature and muscular pain were the most frequently reported employees' discomfort factors in the two systems, and, in the wet kitchen, "noise of kitchen" was also frequently reported as a discomfort. Dietitian and employees rated the less slippery and slip related incidents in dry kitchens than those of wet kitchen. Fryer area, ware-washing area, and plate waste table were the slippery areas and the causes were different between the functional areas. The risk for current leakage was rated significantly higher in wet kitchens by dietitians. In addition, the ware-washing area was found to be where employees felt the highest risk of electrical shock. Muscular pain (72.2%), arthritis (39.1%), hard-of-hearing (46.6%) and psychological stress (47.0%) were experienced by employees more than once a month, particularly in the wet kitchen. In conclusion, the dry kitchen system was found to be more efficient for food and work safety because of its superior design and well managed practices.
In this study, it was evaluated the fire risk during welding cutting tasks. Welding-cutting machines are representatively used at construction sites. Inverter AC/DC TIG welding macnine and inverter air plasma cutting machine were used in experiments. Temperature of spreaded cinders was measured using a thermal camera. Cinder sizes and spread range were measured according to the height and input current. It was also evaluated the fire risk during welding-cutting process, when flammable materials were located around the working area. There were used hay, dust fence, urethane foam, vinyl, paper and oil as flammable materials. Temperature of spreaded cinders was reached at about $450^{\circ}C$. Cinders were spread approximately 4.7 m, when a worker carried out cutting process at 2.5 m height. The possibility of a fire is very high, when flammable materials were located around the working area.
