  • 화재시 당면할 수 있는 위험성의 여러 인자 가운데 연소 독성 영향은 피난 및 최종 생존에 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다. 화재 독성에 지금까지 대한 대부분의 연구는 치사 측면에 국한되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대표적인 질식성 가스인 HCN을 대상으로 가스유해성시험방법(KS F 2271)을 통하여 실험동물(흰쥐)에 직접 독성가스를 흡입시킨 후 평균행동정지시간을 측정하고, 이들 실험동물군의 내부 장기 변화, 혈액학 분석 및 단세포전기영동분석을 통해 연소 독성가스가 생체에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하고자 하였으며, 기존 가스유해성시험에서 확인할 수 없었던 접근(병리검사, 혈액검사, 혈액생화학검사, 단세포전기영동분석)을 통해 연소 독성학 분야의 생물학적 위험도를 측정하고자 하였다.

GIS를 이용한 도시지역 돌발홍수 침수예상지도 작성 및 대피강우기준 개발 (Mapping Inundation Areas by Flash Flood and Developing Rainfall Standards for Evacuation in Urban Settings)

  • 본 연구는 XP-SWMM 모형과 GIS 기법을 이용하여 도시지역인 사당동 지역의 국지성 돌발홍수를 사례로 강우단계에 따른 내수침수상황을 모의하여 침수예상지역을 분석하고 그에 따른 대피 강우기준을 개발하였다. 사당천의 배수영향을 크게 받는 지역적 특성을 고려하여 배수관망해석시 사당천 좌안 기점수위를 지정, 경계, 위험 홍수위 및 만수위로 입력한 후 각 수위에 대하여 강우를 단계별로 적용하여 침수예상지역을 분석하였고, 이를 바탕으로 침수예상지도를 작성하였다. 분석된 결과를 통하여 사당동지역의 경우 대피강우기준을 2단계인 준비 및 경계강우(40mn.hr), 대피강우(65mm/hr)로 설정하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 침수예상지도 작성 및 대피강우기준 개발 방법론을 응용함으로써 도시지역 침수피해에 대비한 합리적인 방재대책 및 침수피해 최소화를 위한 효과적인 대응체계를 구축하는데 크게 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

지적정보 기반의 강우빈도별 침수지역 분석 (Analysis of Flooded Areas for Cadastral Information-Based Rainfall Frequencies)

  • 태풍 및 국지성 폭우로 인한 침수 및 범람지역의 발생이 증가하고 있어 재해 이력에 대한 체계적 구축과 침수 예측에 대한 정략적 분석을 통한 재해 예방이 필요하다. 본 연구는 피해지역의 수치영상을 기반으로 피해조사 범위 산정의 기반 자료와 속성정보를 제공하기 위하여 지리정보체계 매핑 기술을 사용하여 수치영상과 피해지역 연속지적도의 속성정보 융합을 통해 현장 실사용 재해정보지도를 구축하였다. 또한, 재해정보의 고도화를 위해 홍수범람 시뮬레이션을 통해 대상 지역의 빈도별 홍수량을 산정하여 돌발홍수 예측지역을 표시하였으며 지적 정보를 활용하여 빈도별 침수면적 및 침수피해율을 산출하였다. 따라서, 집중호우에 따른 홍수 시나리오 분석을 통해 사전에 자연재해 예방 및 대책을 위한 의사결정을 지원함으로써 자연재해관리 업무 효율성 및 대응능력 강화에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Pattern Recognition of Ship Navigational Data Using Support Vector Machine

  • A ship's sailing route or plan is determined by the master as the decision maker of the vessel, and depends on the characteristics of the navigational environment and the conditions of the ship. The trajectory, which appears as a result of the ship's navigation, is monitored and stored by a Vessel Traffic Service center, and is used for an analysis of the ship's navigational pattern and risk assessment within a particular area. However, such an analysis is performed in the same manner, despite the different navigational environments between coastal areas and the harbor limits. The navigational environment within the harbor limits changes rapidly owing to construction of the port facilities, dredging operations, and so on. In this study, a support vector machine was used for processing and modeling the trajectory data. A K-fold cross-validation and a grid search were used for selecting the optimal parameters. A complicated traffic route similar to the circumstances of the harbor limits was constructed for a validation of the model. A group of vessels was composed, each vessel of which was given various speed and course changes along a specified route. As a result of the machine learning, the optimal route and voyage data model were obtained. Finally, the model was presented to Vessel Traffic Service operators to detect any anomalous vessel behaviors. Using the proposed data modeling method, we intend to support the decision-making of Vessel Traffic Service operators in terms of navigational patterns and their characteristics.

가변 제한속도 표지판 크기기준 정립을 위한 안개재현 현장실험 (Fog Generated Field Test for Criteria of Sign Size of Variable Speed Limit Signs)

  • OBJECTIVES : A fog generated field test was conducted to analyze the relationship between different sizes of variable speed limit signs and the legibility distance under various fog density conditions. By using this study, appropriate sizes of signs can be selected depending on the density of fog. METHODS : An actual tunnel was selected as the area for this test, as other places cannot maintain the fog condition because of rapid air current. A total 121 subjects were recruited for this test, which took place over the course of four days. The test on the first day was conducted under normal weather conditions for comparison. Visibility-distance detecting sensor was used to measure the visibility distance due to the fog density time, simultaneously with the evaluation of legibility distance by subjects. RESULTS : The test results show the relationship between the different sizes of signs and the legibility distance corresponding to the visibility distance due to both non-fog and fog generated conditions. According to the technical test results, appreciable amount of reduction in legibility distance due to fog was resulted in all sizes of signs. Moreover, the legibility distance is reduced proportionately with the decrease in the visibility distance due to fog. CONCLUSIONS : The results of this study can be used to select appropriate sizes of valuable speed signs under fog conditions. Hence, drivers can expect to have more room to respond to adverse weather conditions, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.

By using this study, appropriate luminance values can be selected depending on the density of fog. METHODS : An actual tunnel was selected as the area to conduct the test, as other places cannot maintain the fog condition because of rapid air current. Ninety-two subjects were recruited for this test, which took place during the course of three days. Visibility-distance detecting sensor was used to measure the visibility distance due to the fog density time, simultaneously with the evaluation of legibility distance by subjects. RESULTS : The test results show the relationship between luminance values and the legibility distance corresponding to the visibility distance due to fog. According to the technical test results, lower luminance value such as $7000cd/m^2$ corresponds to less legibility distance compared to higher values such as $20000cd/m^2$ or $40000cd/m^2$. However, the amount of difference between $20000cd/m^2$ and $40000cd/m^2$ is negligible in our test. CONCLUSIONS : The results of this study can be used to select appropriate luminance of valuable speed signs under fog conditions. Hence, drivers can expect to have more room to respond to adverse weather conditions, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.

Subsidence estimation of breakwater built on loosely deposited sandy seabed foundation: Elastic model or elasto-plastic model

  • In offshore area, newly deposited Quaternary loose seabed soils are widely distributed. There are a great number of offshore structures has been built on them in the past, or will be built on them in the future due to the fact that there would be no very dense seabed soil foundation could be chosen at planed sites sometimes. However, loosely deposited seabed foundation would bring great risk to the service ability of offshore structures after construction. Currently, the understanding on wave-induced liquefaction mechanism in loose seabed foundation has been greatly improved; however, the recognition on the consolidation characteristics and settlement estimation of loose seabed foundation under offshore structures is still limited. In this study, taking a semi-coupled numerical model FSSI-CAS 2D as the tool, the consolidation and settlement of loosely deposited sandy seabed foundation under an offshore breakwater is investigated. The advanced soil constitutive model Pastor-Zienkiewics Mark III (PZIII) is used to describe the quasi-static behavior of loose sandy seabed soil. The computational results show that PZIII model is capable of being used for settlement estimation problem of loosely deposited sandy seabed foundation. For loose sandy seabed foundation, elastic deformation is the dominant component in consolidation process. It is suggested that general elastic model is acceptable for subsidence estimation of offshore structures on loose seabed foundation; however, Young's modulus E must be dependent on the confining effective stress, rather than a constant in computation.

이중외피 구조 건축물의 피난성능 개선에 관한 연구 (Study Improvement of the Evacuation Performance in a Double-Skin Structure)

  • 본 논문은 피난 안전성 평가를 통해 이중외피 구조가 적용된 건축물에서의 피난 성능 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이중외피 구조가 적용된 건축물은 화재 발생시 굴뚝효과로 인한 상층 연소확대 현상이 빠르고 그 특성이 각 구조별로 다른 특성을 갖고 있으며 설계 및 제도적 기준 또한 미비하여 일반 건축물에 비해 피난 안전성을 확보하기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 10층의 단일 피난계단이 적용된 이중외피 건축물로 가상의 모델링을 구성하였으며, 피난 성능을 개선하기 위한 방안으로 피난 완료시점을 옥외로의 탈출까지로 변경하고, 각 구조별 위험도를 고려한 경보방식을 제안하였다. 그 결과 기존의 경보방식과 비교하여 박스형은 약 26.4%, 복도형은 약 29.1%, 샤프트-박스형은 약 23.4%, 전면형은 약 26.3%의 피난 성능이 개선되었고, 전층의 재실자의 안전을 확보 할 수 있었다.

상세구조해석을 이용한 제철설비구조물 안전성 평가 기술개발 (Development of a Safety Assessment Method using Detailed Structural Analysis for Iron-Manufacturing Plant Structures)

  • 최근, 제철소, 원자력 및 수${\cdot}$화력 발전소 등 주요 기간설비에 있어서 해당 구조물, 관련 장비들의 노후화에 따른 고장진단, 수리보수, 안전성 평가와 잔여 수명 예측을 통한 수명연장에 관련된 요구가 높아지고 있다. 손상발생 시나리오의 구축, 정밀해석기법의 확립, 위험성 혹은 신뢰성 평가기술 개발 등에 관한 연구가 이러한 요구를 반영하여 활발하게 수행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 구조물의 안전성 평가분야에서 가장 활발하게 사용되는 유한요소해석기술을 이용하여 제철설비 구조물의 안전성을 평가하는 절차를 개발하고 실제 가동 중인 고로를 대상으로 적용하여 유용성을 검토하였다.

조미김의 HACCP 시스템 구축을 위한 생물학적 위해도 평가 연구 (A Study on Microbiological Risk Assessment for the HACCP System Construction of Seasoned Laver)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to apply the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system to the production of seasoned laver products. The hazard analysis examined microbial evaluations and developed a HACCP management plan through the heating process. Methods: In this study we chose three companies and performed the analysis thrice. During this study, general bacteria along with other food poisoning bacteria such as Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus, E.coil, O157:H7, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, were studied at varying temperatures from 100 to $300^{\circ}C$. Results: The presence of general bacteria was detected in raw laver in the samples analyzed from all the three companies, and the number ranged from $10^5-10^7$. Bacillus cereus was detected in samples from only two of the three companies analyzed. However, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, E.coil, O157:H7, and Vibrio parahaemolyticus were all negative. General bacteria was reduced to $10^5$ after being subjected to temperatures of $100-250^{\circ}C$, but heating to over $270^{\circ}C$ reduced the number to below $10^3$, and the other microbes such as Bacillus cereus were not detected. Conclusions: In conclusion, the heating process ($270-280^{\circ}C$) along with RPM of 100-1200 were identified as CCP to reduce biological hazards.
