BIM was activated by applying it necessarily to the government ordered construction of more than a certain amount of money in architecture and construction field of Korea before and after 2010. An architectural education using BIM at college in Korea has been doing in accordance with this trend but is not too different from the existing interior design studio. Also, a new design curriculum based on BIM that provides a digital design concept and a digital working environment is increasingly being demanded in modern society. A digital-based design process is required not only in the field of architecture but also in the field of interior. Therefore, this study suggests the prototype of the interior design studio based on the field practice can apply BIM design, not the unfamiliar interior design studio pursued in the field practice to understand easily the environment of interior design process BIM is essentially seeking.
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to develop a web-based program on child health care, and to identify the effect of the program on knowledge of, attitudes towards child health care, and health care practice in staff of daycare centers. Methods: The program was developed through the processes of needs analysis, contents construction, design, development, and evaluation. After the program was developed, it was revised through feedback from 30 experts. To identify the effect of developed program, onegroup pretest-posttest design study was conducted with 64 staff members from 12 daycare centers in Korea. Results: The program was developed based on users' needs and consisted of five parts: health promotion, disease and symptoms management, oral health, injury and safety, sheets and forms. This study showed that the total score of staff who used the program was significantly higher in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and their health care practice compared with pretest score (p<.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that this Web-based program can contribute to the child health promotion as well as can provide the staff with the insightful child health information. Therefore, it is expected that this program will be applied to staff of other child care settings for children's health.

It has been a common practice to use manually processed soil maps in planning of land readjustment. This study is intended to develop a geographic information system for computerized processing of soil maps. The pilot region of land readjustment for this study was set at a mountain area with diverse formation of soil. Cadastral maps were employed for the basis map, and the main map was prepared using the information obtained from in-situ soil survey and laboratory tests. The detailed soil maps were drawn using the geographic information system, and analyzed and compared with manually processed maps. The soil maps, in conjunction with a computer program of land readjustment design, can be applied in estimation of soil works appropriate for the given soil condition, and also in selecting the efficient construction equipments.

In order to respond and prevent underground safety accidents, the Korean government has been preparing a submitting completion drawing web system project for converting the current manual-based 3D Underground Geospatial Map construction and its update system to an automation-based 3D underground information construction. However, research on standard drawings required for the automatic update of 3D underground structures is insufficient, so detailed research is needed. In this research paper, a standard map-based 3D underground structure construction plan was presented for the six types of underground structures constituting the 3D Underground Geospatial Map, enabling rapid and accurate drawing data creation and systematically 3D underground structure drawing data could be managed. In addition, we developed a 3D construction drawing tool that can be used in underground information practice so that ordinary CAD program users can easily produce processing drawings. The results derived from this paper are expected to be major reference materials for the establishment of standard frameworks and practical application guidelines for the construction of 3D underground structures in the future.
In this paperm we provide a plan of construction, employment and management of the Korean postal address database and discuss the design of to-be models for it. For the purpose, we adopt and modify the information strategy planning methodology to fit it into our study. We examine the managerial environments and limitations of the postal services and define the requirements as a result. The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) was chosen as the best practice for a benchmarking and gap analysis with its advanced management of address information. After analyzing the current status of the postal business processes and information systems used, we classify the products and the services of USPS by the process to which they are applied and propose a deployment plan. In order to design a to-be model, we define the operating and managing functions for the address database and specify the scenario according to the functions. By managing the address database and supporting the postal services, it could be possible to make the business competitive and satisfy the customer demands.
Face mapping and displacement monitoring during tunnel construction are the most influential information for the stability assessment of ground and around structures. Especially, the result of face mapping and displacement analysis is essential to the excavation and support design in NATM which is based on the drilling and blasting. However, there have not been so many studies to put those useful information into practice for decision-making process during construction. The study reviewed the tunnel behaviour based on the RMR rating and displacement monitoring when the geological condition of rock mass varies inevitably. The study analysed the crown settlement using convergence equation in order to compensate the disparity induced by the location and time of measurement and found a distinct relation between the geological condition and the line of influence. As a result of analysing the various parameters related to the tunnel convergence according to the geological condition, the study suggested the basic knowledge about the relation between face mapping and displacement behaviour of tunnel.
Purpose: Suggests measures to improve the construction company's safety management system according to the enforcement of the Severe Accident Punishment Act. Method: The effectiveness of practice-oriented disaster prevention activities was analyzed through safety and health diagnosis of the level of safety and health management system for the countermeasures against the Severe Accident Punishment Act implemented at the construction site and headquarters. Result: The effect of reducing the accident rate and the advancement of the safety and health management system were analyzed by linking the Severe Accident Punishment Act with the safety and health management system, and a plan to improve the safety and health management system was presented through the analysis of the comprehensive results of safety activities before and after the implementation of the Severe Accident Punishment Act. Conclusion: The effect of practical performance measurement was manifested through the improvement of business owners' awareness, the expansion of investment for disaster prevention, and the quantification of disaster prevention activities according to the enforcement of the Severe Accident Punishment Act.

One of the activities that are almost used by instructors to assess the undergraduate learners (students) performances in the teaching and learning system is performing researches. It's most probably that learners prepare a presentation for the research, through which they conduct their ideas to the audiences (the instructor and their colleagues). Recently, a phenomenon was monitored regarding the research preparation process practiced by the learners, that the majority go directly to the websites, in which they could easily find tons of attractive and ready-made information that fill the gaps of their heavy homework gained from several courses. It's a convenient activity for learners to go through this easy path to fulfil their duties, but the issue is that the output of such path is so weak. The gained information in this case is so shallow, loose, and could easily been evaporated after a while. There is a need to examine the impact of a missing skill in the current learners' generation: the reading practice. It's noticed that library visits to read books were strongly decreased compared with what was happening in the older generations, where the piece of information was hard to collect, but in the same time, is hard to be forgotten. As a part of the teaching and learning process, and through a college of Engineering, this study will introduce results of the comparison between the outputs of the two methods of collecting information: through the web, and through the traditional book reading. This is to highlight the importance of reading through an experiment applied on one section of students who were asked to prepare a research from a certain chapter of their textbook, and compare that with a prior research they had prepared from the websites. The results were impressive and reflected the importance of the missed reading activity.

Although the construction industry is changing from a 2D-based to a 3D BIM-based management process, 2D drawings are still used as standards for permits and construction. For this reason, 2D deliverables extracted from 3D BIM are one of the essential achievements of BIM projects. However, due to technical and institutional problems that exist in practice, the process of extracting 2D deliverables from BIM requires additional work beyond generating 3D BIM models. In addition, the consistency of data between 3D BIM models and 2D deliverables is low, which is a major factor hindering work productivity in practice. To solve this problem, it is necessary to build BIM data that meets information requirements (IRs) for extracting 2D deliverables to minimize the amount of work of users and maximize the utilization of BIM data. However, despite this, the additional work that occurs in the BIM process for drawing creation is still a burden on BIM users. To solve this problem, the purpose of this study is to increase the productivity of the BIM process by automating the process of extracting 2D deliverables from BIM and securing data consistency between the BIM model and 2D deliverables. For this, an expert interview was conducted, and the requirements for automation of the process of extracting 2D deliverables from BIM were analyzed. Based on the requirements, the types of drawings and drawing expression elements that require automation of drawing generation in the design development stage were derived. Finally, the method for developing automation technology targeting elements that require automation was classified and analyzed, and the process for automatically extracting BIM-based 2D deliverables through templates and rule-based automation modules were derived. At this time, the automation module was developed as an add-on to Revit software, a representative BIM authoring tool, and 120 rule-based automation rulesets, and the combinations of these rulesets were used to automatically generate 2D deliverables from BIM. Through this, it was possible to automatically create about 80% of drawing expression elements, and it was possible to simplify the user's work process compared to the existing work. Through the automation process proposed in this study, it is expected that the productivity of extracting 2D deliverables from BIM will increase, thereby increasing the practical value of BIM utilization.
The results of the survey on water utilization status, the wasted water factor, the awareness, and the education and promotional activities of water saving in Daejeon City are as follows: The percentage of using tap valve with a closure was 66% when showering. 74% of water was used with closing the tap valve when washing faces with no water needed, it was still considered that there existed a wasting water. The most wasting reasons of water were found to be shower, bath, and laundry in order. In the awareness of practicing tap water saving, 9.1% of respondents acted actively, 53.4% of them were trying to practice it, and more than 63% had a positive awareness. In the contents of practicing saving water, locking water when soaping while showering, non-laundry of small quantity, and using cups when brushing teeth were top priorities. About 50% of the reasons for saving water was to practice purely saving water, when saving for economic help was excluded. The level of water saving awareness was not high when considering that the ratio of usage without water saving equipment and installation, and using method was relatively high when moving in. In order to make usage of water saving equipment more common, it was deemed necessary to provide information on the purchase of water saving equipment and to promote and educate the efficiency of saving of related products. More than about 90% of the respondents responded that water saving education or promotional activities had an effect of improving water saving awareness. The most effective method of education and promotional activities was found to be 40.4% by mass media activities, and 21.7% by promotions through mobile devices.
