18세기 한양도성의 개축과 축성기법 (Repair and Construction Methods of Hanyangdoseong in 18th Century)

  • Since its construction in the late 14th century, Hanyangdoseong had been carried out three major repairs and reconstructions during the 500 years of the Joseon Dynasty. In addition to the large-scale construction, small-scale construction continued until King Gojong era. In particular, in the 18th century, systematic construction management was implemented by the craftsmen and the military participated in the renovation of Hanyangdoseong in earnest, and the construction methods also developed rapidly. In the early 18th century, new construction techniques were attempted in various sections of the reconstruction work, and gradually became a common technology for repairing Hanyangdoseong in the late 18th century. The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and period of changes in the 18th century's construction technique, when the rapid development of Hanyangdoseong took place. To this end, the excavation results related to Hanyangdoseong, the remaining city wall, and the inscribed stones were used to identify and demonstrate the characteristics and change of the construction method.

  • 본 연구에서는 1709년 러시아에서 출판되었고, 다양한 작도문제의 해결방법이 기술된 '자와 컴퍼스의 방법'을 분석하였다. 이 책에 제시된 정삼각형, 정사각형, 정오각형, 정육각형, 정8각형, 정10각형의 작도방법을 소개하고, 이에 관련된 다양한 논의를 시도하였다. 이를 통해 정다각형 작도에 관련된 역사-발생적 연구를 위한 새로운 자료를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

  • One of the characteristics of a good construction is efficiently to use material and manpower related in the construction. From the preplanning stage to the completion one, a program planner must sufficiently consider the whole field of construction in terms of cost. The estimating account books were written and left in the Construction of the Kyongwoon Palace reconstructed in the beginning of 20th century. Trough those books and other related documents, this paper has been concentrated on the estimated, executed cost of woodwork in those days.

  • Considering the situation in the early 20th century when the existing urban system centered on urban areas began to change, the biggest factors causing urban structural changes in urban areas are construction of railroad and urban dismantling. The change process of Eupseong, in the microscopic viewpoint, can be understood as a process of change in the course of dismantlement of town's demarcation, improvement of accessibility and urban expansion due to the construction of railroads, process of urban expansion following the crumbling boundaries and structural changes. This study aimed to look at the transformation process of the Eupseong in the early 20th century, focusing on the demolition of the castle and the railway construction from a microscopic point of view of city.

  • Evaluation of construction claims history can provide insights to improvement opportunities in a capital project portfolio. This study analyzed construction litigation claims extracted from the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (COFC) history involving the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) from 1995-2004. Twenty-four total cases were examined over this period. Both "primary" causes and "root" causes were identified and compared to 666 litigation cases reviewed by the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA). Based on the analysis, strategies for resolving future disputes are recommend using a 'hybrid' process prior to litigation.

  • 본 연구는 중학교 이차방정식 단원에서 조선시대(朝鮮時代) 수학사(數學史)를 효과적으로 활용하기 위해 먼저, 수학교육에서 수학사의 활용과 중학교 수학 교과서에서 다루고 있는 수 학사의 유형 및 그 내용을 살펴보고, 조선시대의 수학자인 경선징(慶善徵), 홍정하 (洪正夏), 이상혁(李尙赫) 등이 제시하는 이차방정식의 구성과 해법에 대해 조사하여 중학교 수학에서 활용할 수 있는 방법에 대해 알아보았다. 이와 같은 조선시대 수학사는 이차방정식에 대한 이해를 높이고 풀이에 대한 흥미와 동기를 유지시키기 위한 자료, 활용 단계에서 개념적 사고와 반성적 사고를 고취시키기 위한 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

  • Jeong Woo-tae(?-1809) was a military official who had worked as Byeol-Gan-Yeok in the governmental construction works during the late 18th century through the early 19th century. Byel-Gan-Yeok, literally a special technician, was an official post in the governmental construction works that carries specific technical tasks from the mid 18th century. Over 30 years, Jeong Woo-tae had devoted himself in the construction of various royal tombs, city walls, and palace buildings. He showed superb and various techniques in the works of stone carving and architectural details. After finishing the construction of the tomb of King Jeong-jo's father successfully, he was appointed as a governor of a rural town. Being on duty of the governor, he used to participate in the construction works as a technician. He also made a couple of innovative devices in the field of construction, like a carrying apparatus, Byel-Nok-No. His works secured the setting up of the post of Byel-Gan-Yeok in the governmental construction system in the 19th century. But his technical achievement remained as his own private works rather than developing to the universal growth of the craftsmen's skill. This might be a limitation of the Byel-gan-Yeok's role, whose position was remained in the midway between official and craftsman.

터널 숏크리트 라이닝의 장기 내구성 평가를 위한 실험기법 개발 (Development of experiment technology for assessment of shotcrete lining long-term degradation in tunnels)

  • Shotcrete lining is likely to be deteriorated due to the ground water which the lining is exposed to. Some tunnel collapses seemed to be affected by shotcrete degradation were reported. But there isn't any assessment method of shotcret long-term degradation. So, Experimental technology for shotcrete long-term degradation modeling was developed in this study. The shotcrete long-term degradation modeling, developed in other study in Korea Institute of Construction Technology, require the time-history of volume change. Digital strain observation system was used to acquire the time-history of volume change. To verify the Strain Observation Digital System, the measurement using the system was compared to the one using a micrometer. Through this process, The experiment for shotcrete long-term degradation modeling was set up.

첨성대축조 규준방식과 드잡이기술에 대한 기술사적 접근 연구 (The Study on the Construction Criteria and Dujabee Technique of the Construction of the Cheomseongdae)

  • 본 연구는 고건축 기술사적 관점에서 첨성대 축조당시 가설공법을 규명하고자 하였다. 독특한 구조와 형태로 이루어진 첨성대는 그동안 많은 관심을 끌며 연구되어왔으나 고건축 기술사적 측면에서 접근한 사례를 보기 어렵다. 더욱이 첨성대 축조기술에 관한 연구는 고건축 기술사적 고찰기반이 취약한 추론으로 전개되어 있으므로 많은 의문점을 남기고 있다. 여러 가지 의문점 가운데 가설공법에 대한 논의는 고건축시공 규준방식과 드잡이에 관한 기술사적(技術史的) 고찰을 결여한 추론으로 전개되어 있으므로 신빙성 있는 역사적 사실규명으로 보기 어렵게 한다. 연구결과 첨성대축조 가설공법에 대한 규명은 실제유구가 남아있지 않아 직접 고찰에 한계가 있었으나, 그간의 오류 폭을 좁히고 기초자료 제공에 의한 기술사(技術史) 연구 활성화를 기대할 수 있게 되었다. 주요 연구결과는 세 가지로 정리되었다. 1. 원통형 구조로 이루어진 첨성대축조 규준방식은 또한 +자먹 규구법과 다림추를 이용한 준승방식에 기초한 중심축 규준을 적용하였음으로 고찰되었다. 2. 첨성대 축석공사는 규구준승에 기초한 규준방식과 부합하는 드잡이공사 방법으로 녹로사용 가능성이 고찰 검토되었다. 3. 첨성대축조 규준과 드잡이기술에 대한 고찰 결과 규구준승에 의한 규준방식과 녹로(??)를 이용한 드잡이공사는 축석공사에 별도로 운반을 위한 비계가설을 요하지 않는 고건축 시공기술로 고찰되었다.
