사고사망자의 심층적 실증분석을 통한 예방적 개입점 발견 연구 (Finding on Preventive Intervention of Fatal Occupational Injuries Through Empirical Analysis of Accident Death)

  • The 7,993 cases of Survey Report of Fatal Industrial Accidents conducted jointly by the MEOL and the KOSHA for the recent seven years(2007-2013) were categorized according to personal and occupational characteristics, industry types, business sizes, job types, activities at the time accident, types of accidents, material agents(assailing materials), unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts. And it is found that among the 72.2 percent of fatal occupational accidents in the construction and manufacturing industries are caused by falling, sticking, bumping and being caught under objects & overturning. For this study, through the empirical analysis on causes of fatal industrial accidents, was used to identity high risk groups based on total data of 7,993 victims of occupational accidents. An annual fatal occupational injury (FOI) rate per 10,000 workers was about 0.47‱. The middle-aged group and the elderly group showed the highest FOI rates per 10,000 workers (0.73‱, 0.80‱), and the daily workers showed the highest FOI rate (1.46‱), and the craft and related trades workers showed the highest FOI rate (2.17‱). In case of industry type the mining industry (7.26‱) showed the highest FOI rate, followed by the sewerage, waste management, materials recovery and remediation activity industry (3.91‱) and the construction industry (2.71‱). The primary high risk target group that requires a strategy designed to reduce fatal occupation injuries caused by falling and bumping & contact(collision) is the construction industry, and the secondary high risk target group in the construction industry is classified as the equipment, machine operating and assembling workers in the construction industry, those aged 50 years old and above need the prevention measures against bumping & contact(collision) and being caught under an object & falling(objects), while those aged less than 50 years old need prevention measures against falling(persons).

건설 프로젝트의 재해영향요인 기반 위험성 평가방법 (A Risk Assessment Method using Disaster Influence Factors on Construction Project)

  • Current risk assessment methods typically determine accident risks embedded in construction projects by combining severity and frequency; however, they do not reflect the characteristics of construction projects. To solve the problem, this study aims to develop a novel risk assessment method that combines severity, frequency, and disaster influence factors (i.e., weather conditions and worker's characteristics) for assessing risks of activities occurring on a construction site actually. In this study, a severity was estimated by death against victims, and a frequency was estimated by the victim rate. The frequency was then converted to probability taking disaster influence factors into account. Thus, instead of considering severity and frequency for assessing the original risks (RO), the proposed method uses severity and probability to yield adjusted risks (RA) for each activity. A case study was conducted to determine if the proposed method works as intended in a real setting. The results show that RA is more sensitive to disaster influence factors than RO and, therefore, is able to assess the actual risks reflecting the working environment and conditions of a construction site. This study contributes to risk management of construction projects by offering a risk assessment method that measures a possibility of potential disasters from the probabilistic perspective. This method would help project managers assess accident risks in a more systematic and quantitative manner.

설문조사를 통한 스마트 건설안전기술의 실태분석 및 활성화 방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Actual Condition Analysis and Activation Plan of Smart Construction Safety Technology by the Survey)

  • The death rate in the construction industry, which is more than twice that of other industries, increases the need to solve chronic safety problems. In a situation in which the safety management measures that have been maintained thus far are unable to reduce construction accidents, the introduction of smart construction safety technology (SCST) that reflects the 4th industrial technology is required for the safety management of workers. Large corporations or public institutions have introduced SCST and are operating pilot sites, but SCST is still in its infancy and there have yet to exist field data regarding necessity and effectiveness. In this study, the concept of SCST, which has still to be established, is defined, and the actual condition of SCST was analyzed through a survey. Through the analysis of the necessity of SCST introduction, convenience, and effectiveness before and after its application, problems such as problems from the field point of view as well as other factors hindering the introduction of such technology are derived in detail. In addition, an effective combination of technologies for safety management at the current level is determined and an activation plan is presented.

한국 성인의 품위 있는 죽음 측정도구 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of a Dignified Dying Scale for Korean Adults)

  • Purpose: The study was done to develop a dignified dying scale for Korean adults. Methods: The process included construction of a conceptual framework, generation of initial items, verification of content validity, selection of secondary items, preliminary study, and extraction of final items. The participants were 428 adults who lived in one of 3 Korean metropolitan cities: Seoul, Daegu, and Busan. Item analysis, factor analysis, criterion related validity, and internal consistency were used to analyze the data. Data collection was done from March to June 2010. Results: Thirty items were selected for the final scale, and categorized into 5 factors explaining 54.5% of the total variance. The factors were labeled as maintaining emotional comfort (10 items), arranging social relationship (9 items), avoiding suffering (3 items), maintaining autonomous decision making (4 items), and role preservation (4 items). The scores for the scale were significantly correlated with personal meanings of death scale. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the 30 items was .92. Conclusion: The above findings indicate that the dignified dying scale has a good validity and reliability when used with Korean adults.

Nitrox 공기통의 기체 분석에 의한 스쿠버다이버 사망원인 추정에 관한 사례연구 (Case on the Death of Scuba Diver by Analyzing the Air in Nitrox Cylinder)

  • Going underwater is supposed to begin with the history of human beings. At first it was confined to relatively shallow level, less than several meters by holding breath. Recently, deep level diving has been necessary for such purpose as construction, maritime salvage, military operations, research and sports by using SCUBA(self-contained underwater breathing apparatus) equipment. As one goes down into water, the pressure on the diver is increased due to water pressure with depth, usually 1 atm for each 10 m water level. In deep water, mixed gas or nitrox(EAN, enriched air nitrox) could be applied for the divers lest they should get disease due to high pressure. Of these, the former is usually composed of oxygen and inert gas like helium or hydrogen, the latter contains higher oxygen content than that in normal air in which the oxygen concentration is designated by the character "EAN" followed by vol. % of oxygen, for example, "EAN 40" contains 40% of oxygen. In this case, a victim was found at the 39 m below the sea surface breathing air and nitrox in cylinder wrongly marked as EAN 36, which was analyzed to contain 63% of oxygen by GC/TCD. The cause of death could not be exactly related with the oxygen content in the nitrox cylinder, because the accurate depth for the victim to dive was not known, even though the victim was just found at the depth of 39 m. However, the wrongly marked nitrox could be believed to be the main cause of the death at the depth unless there happened any other accident except that during diving.

고레에다 히로카즈의 <환상의 빛>에 구성된 일상과 사회적 기억에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Everyday Life and Social Memory Constructed in (Hirokazu Koreeda, 1995))

  • 이 글은 일상과 일상성, 일상생활의 사회학, 기억과 기억의 사회적 구성, 사회적 기억 등에 대한 이론적·방법론적 논의를 토대로 일상과 기억의 논제를 탐구하고자 했다. 이를 위해 일상에서 전개되는 가족 간 만남과 헤어짐, 삶과 죽음의 문제들에 천착하는 고레에다 히로카즈 감독의 데뷔작 <환상의 빛>을 연구대상으로 선정했다. 연구결과에 의하면, 전체 61개의 신으로 내러티브가 구조화된 <환상의 빛>은 유미코의 일상이 이쿠오의 죽음으로 인해 한순간에 균열되면서 유미코의 기억이 파편화되지만 이후 그녀의 사회적 기억이 삶을 향한 의지나 희망의 '빛'을 통해 새로운 일상을 다시 구성할 수 있게 했음을 이야기하고 있었다. 고레에다 히로카즈 감독은 이 영화에서 햇빛과 달빛, 가로등과 전등 등의 '빛'을 통해 인간의 만남과 헤어짐, 삶과 죽음이 일상 자체이거나 일상의 일부분이라는 점을 확증하려 했다고 할 수 있다.

재해예방을 위한 건축공사 설계단계 안전 위험성 평가 체크리스트 (Occupational Health and Safety Risk Assessment Checklist for Preventing Accidents During Building Design Phase)

  • 지금까지 건설재해를 예방하기 위한 건설공사의 안전관리는 시공단계에서만 활발히 수행되어 왔다. 하지만 사망재해의 15%가 작업자 안전에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 부적절한 설계에 의해 발생하였다는 점을 감안할 때, 설계(안)에 존재하는 안전 위험성을 조기에 발굴 및 평가하여 제거 및 최소할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 '안전을 위한 설계(Design for Safety)' 개념을 활용하여 설계(안)에 존재하는 안전 위험요소를 발굴 및 평가할 수 있는 체크리스트의 개발을 목적으로 하고 있다 이를 위해 영국 산업안전보건청(Health and Safety Executives)에서 활용하고 있는 설계단계 안전 위험성 평가 체크리스트의 구조, 활용절차 및 문제점에 관한 문헌연구를 수행하였다. 이를 통해 공간, 부위 및 공종별 안전 위험요소와 원인의 분류, 안전수준의 정량적 평가, 안전위험요소의 제거 및 최소화를 위한 안전설계지침 및 관련 안전기준을 반영한 새로운 안전 위험성 평가 체크리스트를 제안하였다. 설계단계 안전 위험성 평가 체크리스트는 건축공사 전반에서 발생할 수 있는 재해를 조기 예방하는데 있어 유용한 도구로 사용될 수 있다.

건설업 산업재해발생율 평가지표 개선방안 (A Study of Improvement on Accident Rate Index of Construction Industry)

  • 국내 건설재해율은 1992년 도입된 이후 현재까지 PQ에 '환산재해율' 반영 등을 통하여 건설재해 감소 및 건설업 안전관리 체제 구축에 기여하고 있다. 또한, 최근 정부가 도입 추진 중인 종합심사낙찰제에도 '재해율' 및 '사망만인율'이 평가항목으로 구성되어 입 낙찰제도의 그 영향력이 확대되고 있다. 그러나 현행 건설재해율은 입 낙찰제도에 따라 이원화된 기준으로 산정 및 운영되고 있는 실정이므로 현 시점에서 건설재해율 평가지표에 대한 현황 검토와 효율적 운영을 위한 방안이 모색될 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 건설업체의 재해관리 실무자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여, 현행 건설재해율의 평가 운영에 대한 현황 검토를 통하여 문제점을 분석하고 그에 따른 개선방안을 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 건설재해율 평가지표의 일원화를 위한 산정기준, 평가대상업체 범위 설정, 건설업 공상처리 개선 측면에서의 개선방안을 제시하였다. 제시된 개선방안을 통해서 보다 효율적이고 합리적인 건설재해율 평가지표의 산정 및 운영이 가능할 것이며, 나아가 건설업체의 자율적인 안전보건 활성화 등을 통한 건설 재해 감소 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

조선중기 일상복의 구조와 구성 - 16.17C 출토복식중심 - (A Study on the Daily Clothes of the Middle Years of the Chosun Dynasty - Based on the Excavated Costume -)

  • Most of the recently-exhumed excavat-ed costume is the garment for the dead which is one of the costume of funeral rite Investigating the birth and death years of the dead reveals that the excavated cos-tume was mostly used in the 16th and 17th centuries, . The study on the change of clothes in-cludes two aspects; one is manifestication of the structure of clothes and the other is elucidation of the constructure of clothes through examining constructure compo-nents and constructure compo-nents and construction method. This study investigates the costume of the midddle years of the Chosun dynasty in these aspects by examining the excavated Costume of 16th and 17th centries and Ryesu. This study also aims to assist to comprehend the constructure of costume by comparing actual excavated clothes with chronological standards through in-specting diverse clothes in a specified pe-riod. The construction of the clothes of the middle years of the Chosun dynasty is different depending on the purpose of theclothes and the principle of sewing is set up on the bases of mentality and body That is the Costume stands for the individual social and men-tal world of the people at that time since the external construction of the clothes represents their social rank and the inter-nal construction of sewing symbolizes their mentality. The characteristics features of the clothes of the middle years of the Chosun dy-nasty coexistence of diverse sorts and patterns indicates a change in clothes. This suggests that the clothes of a partic-ular class last and change in role corre-sponding to formation lasting and extinc-tion of the class. Thus diversityof the sort of general costume advancement of pattern and the change of clothes de-pending on the change of the class signify that the middle years of the Chosun- dy nasty is a period in which the general costume is actively developed and a turn-ing point for transforming the traditional clothes into new ones, . In other words the middle years of the Chosun dynasty is characterized as an era during which a castume native to Korea is formed with respect to the structure and constructure of clothes.

생물학적 분석을 통한 HBr의 연소 독성에 관한 연구 (A Study for Bioassay on the HBr Combustion Toxity)

  • 고분자물질의 사용으로 인한 건축 재료의 다변화에 따라 화재 시 발생되는 연소가스 또한 다양해지고 있다. 그중 HBr은 NES 713과 BS 6853, FTP Code Part 2에서 연소 가스의 독성 평가 시 측정되는 독성가스이다. 특히 산업안전물질보건자료(MSDS)에서는 HBr가스를 흡입할 경우 화상을 일으키며 호흡부전, 두통 등을 유발시킬 수 있고 50ppm의 HBr가스에 노출된 사람은 생명과 건강에 즉시 영향을 받을 수 있는 매우 유독한 연소가스이다. 본 논문에서는 HBr 표준가스에 노출된 동물의 운동성 측정실험인 가스유해성 시험 및 HBr가스에 노출된 마우스의 생물학적 검사 결과를 비교 분석하여 HBr의 연소 독성에 관한 연구를 수행하였다.
