수중구조물을 위한 가물막이 설계 및 시공사례에 대한 연구 (A Case Study on Design and Construction of Cofferdam for Hydraulic Structure)

  • Cofferdam is a temporary levee or dam structure built by using sheet pile or earth materials to prevent water infiltration during construction work of bridge, dam, harbour dock, or hydraulic structures in the river. In this regard, it is required to secure cutoff ability for dry work and workability for rapid installation and removal of the temporary dam or levee structures. In this paper, case studies for design and construction of cofferdam were performed, and water diversion method was briefed with some examples of cofferdam type as well. For the case study details of design and construction were reviewed based on cofferdams under construction related to 16 submerged weirs of "The 4-river restoration project" and dam type cofferdam respectively. From the review, it was known that the method for changing the water flow is selected based on the data from geological and geo-hydraulic site investigation in order to mitigate environmental effects by making sure if the design cross-sectional area of flow and maximum working days are sufficiently guaranteed. Finally, the primary findings and main conclusion derived are summarized that determination of applicable type of cofferdam should be checked by case study and meet design requirements such as water inflow control, constructability.

  • 공공 건설사업에 건설사업관리(이하 CM)를 도입 적용하는 근본적인 목적은 공공 건설사업 수행에 있어서 CM이라는 체계적이고 자학적인 관리기법의 도입 및 적용을 통해 프로젝트의 비능률적이고 비효율적인 요소를 제거하여 생산성과 효율성을 향상시키고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 건설교통부의 국내 CM 활성화를 위한 일환으로 실시한 CM시범사업 중 한국도로공사에서 발주한 중앙선 동명(부산, 춘천방향)휴게소 및 주유소 프로젝트를 대상으로 건설사업관리자가 발주자의 사업목표인 사업비 절감, 공기 단축 및 준수, 적정수준의 품질확보를 위해 적용하게 될 설계 시공VE(Value Engineering), 공정 및 계약관리, PMIS 등 CM요소기술을 소개하고, 프로젝트 전반에 걸친 수행계획에 대한 분석을 통하여 예상되는 기대효과를 제시하고자 한다.

캐나다 시멘트 및 콘크리트의 내구성 및 제성능에 대한 규준 (Durability and Performance Requirements in Canadian Cement and Concrete Standards)

  • Traditional standards and specifications for concrete have largely been prescriptive, (or prescription-based), and can sometimes hinder innovation and in particular the use of more environmentally friendly concretes by requiring minimum cement contents and SCM replacement levels. In December 2004, the Canadian CSA A23.1-04 standard was issued which made provisions (a) for high-volume SCM concretes, (b) added new performance requirements for concrete, and (c) clearly outlined the requirements and responsibilities for use in performance-based concrete specifications. Also, in December 2003, the CSA A3000 Hydraulic Cement standard was revised. It (a) reclassified the types of cements based on performance requirements, with both Portland and blended cements meeting the same physical requirements, (b) allows the use of performance testing for assessing sulphate resistance of cementitious materials combinations, (c) includes an Annex D, which allows performance testing of new or non-traditional supplementary cementing materials. From a review of international concrete standards, it was found that one of the main concerns with performance specifications has been the lack of tests, or lack of confidence in existing tests, for judging all relevant performance concerns. Of currently used or available test methods for both fresh, hardened physical, and durability properties, it was found that although there may be no ideal testing solutions, there are a number of practical and useful tests available. Some of these were adopted in CSA A23.1-04, and it is likely that new performance tests will be added in future revisions. Other concerns with performance standards are the different perspectives on the point of testing for performance. Some concrete suppliers may prefer processes for both pre-qualifying the plant, and specific mixtures, followed only with testing only 'end-of-chute' fresh properties on-site. However, owners want to know the in-place performance of the concrete, especially with high-volume SCM concretes where placing and curing are important. Also, the contractor must be aware of, and share the responsibility for handling, constructability, curing, and scheduling issues that influence the in-place concrete properties.

A FRAMEWORK FOR ACTIVITY-BASED CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SIMILATION

  • Due to various project delivery methods and the complexity of construction projects in the construction industry, developing the framework of construction management for critical, highly complex projects in the construction industry has become problematic. Currently, a set of construction manuals play a pivotal role in planning and managing construction projects as subcontractors try to complete their scope of work according to the instructions of a general contractor. It is challenging for general contractors to write a construction management procedure manual to cover various types of project delivery methods and construction projects. In construction, the construction procedure manuals describe specific actions to be taken through the project. In reality a few contactors own such manuals and their construction schedules include more construction operation activities. Thus, it is hard to estimate the workload and productivity of construction managers because the manual and the schedule do not present the amount of management efforts required to complete a project. This paper proposes a framework to present construction management tasks according to project delivery methods which can be applied to various construction projects. Actions for management tasks were mapped and were integrated with construction activities throughout the project life cycle. The framework can then be used to give specific instructions to project participants, collect management actions, and replicate management actions throughout the project life cycle. The framework can also be can used to visualize complete construction project to analyze and manage construction management activities in each phase of a project in order to enhance productivity and efficiency. The studies of existing construction manuals were carried out to identify construction managers' responsibilities. An artificial intelligence program, CLIPS (C-Language Integrated Production System) was used to search for appropriate actions for impending tasks from a set of predefined actions to be performed for a given situation. The framework would significantly help construction managers to understand interrelations among management tasks or actions within a project. Furthermore, the framework can be embedded into Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Facility Management Systems (FMS) so that designers and constructors would execute constructability review before construction begins.

책임형 CM사 경쟁력 확보 및 선진화를 위한 미국 건설사의 시공이전단계 서비스 벤치마킹 연구 (Benchmarking of US General Contractor's Pre-construction Services for a CM at Risk Project to Improve Contractor's Competitiveness)

  • 책임형 CM(CM at Risk)은 CM회사가 최대공사비보증을 통해 프로젝트를 제공하는 프로젝트 발주 방식 중 하나이다. 종합건설업체는 리스크를 줄이고 프로젝트의 성과를 향상시키기 위해 초기 설계 단계부터 시공단계까지 책임형 CM을 적용할 수 있다. 책임형 CM의 주요 장점 중 하나는 종합건설업체가 견적, 도면 및 시방서 검토, 시공성 검토, 가치공학, 친환경, BIM 등을 포함하는 포괄적인 시공이전단계의 서비스를 제공한다는 것이다. 그러나 국내에서는 책임형 CM 프로젝트가 거의 수행되지 않아 경험이 부족한 국내 종합건설업체는 현재 한정적인 시공이전단계 서비스만을 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 해외 선진 종합건설업체는 프로젝트에서 책임형 CM을 어떻게 활용하고 있는지, 특히 시공이전단계 프로세스와 그에 대한 목적, 성공적인 수행을 위한 각 참여자들의 역할과 책임에 대해 벤치마킹 연구를 통해 중요한 정보를 제공한다. 이를 통해, 건설 사업 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 책임형 CM을 프로젝트에 도입하려는 국내 건설업체들에게 가이드 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

건설사업관리기업의 BIM 활용수준 평가 모형 개발 (Development of BIM Utilization Level Evaluation Model in Construction Management Company)

  • 최근 스마트건설이 활성화됨에 따라 기업의 스마트 건설기업으로 전환을 위해 건설회사에서는 스마트건설에 관한 역량 평가가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 스마트 건설의 활성화는 건설회사만 해당되는 것이 아니라 발주자, 설계자, 건설사업관리자, 시공자 등 건설 프로젝트 참여자 전체의 활용수준이 평가되어 향상되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 건설사업관리수행에서 CM기업의 BIM 활용수준을 측정하기 위해 BIM 활용수준에 대한 평가모델을 제시하고 평가하고자 한다. 본 연구의 방법은 BIM 활용항목별 가중치를 선정하기 위해 BIM 실무자들을 대상으로 AHP 설문조사를 실시하였다. 산정된 결과를 평가 모델에 활용하기 위해 점수화 시켜 BIM 활용수준 평가모델을 구축하고 평가하고자 한다. 평가 결과 중 정량 평가에서는 BIM 사용 가능 인력수에서 기업별 차이를 보였고 정성평가에서는 간섭검토, 시공성 검토, 설계변경관리에 주로 활용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. BIM 활성화를 위해서는 건설사업관리자를 대상으로 별도의 전문 교육을 실시하여 BIM 활용능력을 강화시키고 건설사업관리업무 수행에 있어 BIM활용에 대한 명확한 활용기준 및 업무범위 제시가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 제시한 모델을 활용하여 더 많은 기업에 대한 평가를 진행하며, 평가 결과는 CM기업의 스마트건설의 전환과 BIM 도입 활성화게 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
