Purpose: The purpose of the study was to research how elder abuse affected the abuse results (self-esteem, depression, somatization) through coping strategies. Method: A convenient sample consisted of 499 subjects from 65 to 85 years old. Data was collected using structured questionnaires from July to August, 2002. The SPSS WIN 10.0 version was used for data analysis. Results: The pathway of elder abuse affecting elder's self-esteem was researched by passive coping, emotional abuse, financial abuse, and physical abuse as the variables that directly affected self-esteem. The pathway of elder abuse affecting elder's depression was researched by passive coping, aggressive coping, verbal abuse, and neglect as the variable that directly affected depression. The pathway of elder abuse affecting somatization was researched by neglect, emotional abuse, and aggressive coping as the variables that directly affected somatization. Conclusion: We should develop a systematized intervention program so that elders can learn positive coping in their abuse circumstance.

This paper focuses on the construct of relationship quality and the influence of relationship quality on relationship persistence, willingness to recommend. In this paper, we first conceptualize relationship quality from buyer-based perspective. Second, we introduce relationship persistence and willingness to recommend as consequences of relationship quality. A research model is examined with data collected from 267 firms in Gumi. The results indicate that relationship quality can be defined as a construct of trust, satisfaction, coadaptation, communication, and relationship quality has a significant positive impact on relationship persistence, willingness to recommend.

In this paper, we proposed small scale real-time operating system for embedded system. Real-time system is characterized by the severe consequences that result if logical as well as timing correctness properties of system are not met. On real-time system, real-time operating system allows real-time applications to be designed and expanded easily. Functions can be added without requiring major changes to the software. We design small scale real-time operating system for preemptive kernel, and design kernel component such as multitasking, scheduler, task priority, semaphore, inter-task communication, clock tick timer, ISR(Interrupt Service Routine) mechanism has low interrupt latency.

The purpose of this study is to explore whether the perceptions of materialistic realities of South Korean university students can be explained by individual experience and media use. We examined: 1) relative consequences of awareness of discrimination experience and amounts of time spent on genre-specific media on perceptions of materialistic realities, 2) whether cultural orientation (allocentrism, self-monitoring, and masculinity) influences explanatory factors of awareness of discrimination experience, 3) conditions of countervailing responses to materialistic reality. As a result of analyzing the online survey data of 330 university students in Seoul, the amount of time spent on the beauty or fashion genre and awareness of discrimination experience explained the perceptions of materialist reality in Korean society. Although the perceptions that affected the accommodative response did not affect countervailing response, innovativeness had an interaction effect with perceptions of materialist reality in only countervailing response. Finally, the implications of these findings were discussed.

Let R be a ring with the unity 1, and let e be an idempotent of R. In this paper, we discuss some symmetric property for the set $\{(a_1,a_2,{\cdots},a_n){\in}R^n:a_1a_2{\cdots}a_n=e\}$. We here investigate some properties of those rings with such a symmetric property for an arbitrary idempotent e; some of our results turn out to generalize some known results observed already when n = 2 and e = 0, 1 by several authors. We also focus especially on the case when n = 3 and e = 1. As consequences of our observation, we also give some equivalent conditions to the commutativity for some classes of rings, in terms of the symmetric property.

Purpose: This study was done to explore the experiences of ego identity development in Korean nursing students. Methods: Data were collected from 16 nursing students through in-depth interviews. The main question was, "Could you tell me your experience of developing an ego identity?" Data were analyzed using Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory methodology. Results: The core category of the experiences of ego identity development in Korean nursing students was 'trying to be a different new person'. Action/interaction strategies were 'solving the problem using experiences', 'making one's own success story', and 'making harmony with others'. Consequences were 'being sure of oneself as a new person'. Conclusion: Korean nursing students tried to use their experiences, achieve success, and harmonize with others. Their efforts were influenced by conflicts and supports of people around. Therefore, nurse educators should understand contextual and intervening conditions of nursing students, and try to help them achieve ego identities.

Hepatitis E virus (HEV) infections cause epidemic or sporadic acute hepatitis, which are mostly self-limiting. However, viral infection in immunocompromised patients and pregnant women may result in serious consequences, such as chronic hepatitis and liver damage, mortality of the latter of which reaches up to 20-30%. Type I interferon (IFN)-induced antiviral immunity is known to be the first-line defense against virus infection. Upon HEV infection in the cell, the virus genome is recognized by pathogen recognition receptors, leading to rapid activation of intracellular signaling cascades. Expression of type I IFN triggers induction of a barrage of IFN-stimulated genes, helping the cells cope with viral infection. Interestingly, some of the HEV-encoded genes seem to be involved in disrupting signaling cascades for antiviral immune responses, and thus crippling cytokine/chemokine production. Antagonistic mechanisms of type I IFN responses by HEV have only recently begun to emerge, and in this review, we summarize known HEV evasion strategies and compare them with those of other hepatitis viruses.

The present study focused on the potentially adverse consequences for children of martial conflict from the children's perspective. Children's perception of martial conflict was analyzed by relationship to behavior problems (assessed by the parents) and demographic variables (child's sex and age, parents' education, father's occupation, mother's employment, mother's age and family income). Children's perception of martial conflict varied by child's age and sex, parents' education, father's occupation, mother's age, and family income. On the other hand, behavior problems of children varied not by child's age and sex but by parents' education, father's occupation, family income, and mother's age. Behavior problems of children varied by child's perception of martial conflict and by frequency of martial conflict and self-blame. Correlations between children's perception of martial conflict and behavior problems varied by child's age and sex.

In this paper, we propose a Recently, the use of Smart phones surge in youth the youth are becoming a big addiction social problems Mobile Messenger. As a result, pc room, with a focus on traditional Internet addiction is to be reduced, whereas with a focus on Mobile Messenger Smartphone addiction level is rapidly on the rise. Korea information agency of Internet addiction and mobile addiction risk appeared to be well over 10 percent of the rate of 35% is gaming and mobile addiction unfolds exemplifies the seriousness of Messenger. Addiction is the individual's psychosocial problems such as negative consequences can result, causing the addiction, because it is necessary for an understanding of the mechanism. In this study, Mobile Messenger, the leading factors affecting the addiction said. Mobile Messenger is a major factor causing the addiction habit and consider the user's satisfaction. And social relations and the formation of plougastel Wu Mobile Messenger and its impact on the cause of addiction.

The generalized hyperharmonic numbers $h^{(m)}_n(k)$ are defined by means of the multiple harmonic numbers. We show that the hyperharmonic numbers $h^{(m)}_n(k)$ satisfy certain recurrence relation which allow us to write them in terms of classical harmonic numbers. Moreover, we prove that the Euler-type sums with hyperharmonic numbers: $$S(k,m;p):=\sum\limits_{n=1}^{{\infty}}\frac{h^{(m)}_n(k)}{n^p}(p{\geq}m+1,\;k=1,2,3)$$ can be expressed as a rational linear combination of products of Riemann zeta values and harmonic numbers. This is an extension of the results of Dil [10] and $Mez{\ddot{o}}$ [19]. Some interesting new consequences and illustrative examples are considered.
