Although the Pontryagin's maximum principle theory is widely applied in control problems, its contribution to the solution procedure have been restricted just to figure out the rough picture of true solutions, probably due to the complexity of the two-point boundary value problems. This paper discusses a numerical approach to solve the control problems in connection with the two -point boundary value problems. A model of labor management negotiation during a strike has been constructed and solved explicitly by us of DVCPR subroutine introduced in IMSL. The results have been turned out that the management is better increase wage very slowly during the strike period, while , on the labor side, it is more effective to show the high intensity of demonstration against the company at the outset and gradually decrease it.

There may be several factors influencing the safety performance of railway safety personnel. These include human psychological and physiological states, physical conditions about working environment, and workers' stress and fatigue etc. Some researches indicate that human personality is close connection with human error. This study focuses on the workers' personality which is one of psychological traits of railway safety personnel. Thus, we survey and analyze it for railway safety personnel-locomotive engineers, station employees, and train commanders-in Korean railway company. Through the survey that is designed to investigate eight safety personality factors from the questionnaires composed of seventy eight questions, we study the workers' personality factors related to railway safety according to affiliated offices, operations, age, and working years. Finally, after categorizing survey results into sixty six patterns, we explain an example to show a corresponding worker to the pattern result.

In this paper, we describe the architecture of interactive data broadcasting server that can transmit the various data-service contents of the Terrestrial DMB(digital multimedia broadcasting). In the broadcasting environment of the Terrestrial DMB, we enjoys the PADS(program associated data service), or the PIDS(program independent data service) to be executed on various T-DMB terminals as well as the basic video or audio services. This server provides the function such as the data contests management, data channel management, service information configure, return channel connection. Etc. Particularly, this system provides the method to create and transfer the application signaling information for the T- DMB middle application based the java language.

In the era of social media, marketers have struggled to understand and serve participants' diverse and multifaceted needs in a novel form of online brand community in the social-networking sites such as Facebook. Thus, this study identifies different groups of participants affiliated with Facebook brand pages based on their needs for brand connection. The need-based segments are validated by comparing results across foodservice and consumer goods. Results of cluster analysis reveal three distinct segments (i.e., residents, lurkers, and peepers) based on participants' functional, experiential, and incentive needs. Results of multivariate analysis of variance illustrate significant differences in relational tendencies for a brand of interest among these three groups. The three groups are profiled based on participants' engagement level. Findings of this study are expected to help marketers better understand the needs of diverse participants in their SNS-embedded brand community so they can develop tailored communication strategies for targeted groups.

This paper presents a numerical investigation of the mechanical behaviour of extended end - plate steel connections including comparison with full size experiments. Contact and friction laws have been taken into account with nonlinear, three dimensional finite element analysis. Material and geometric nonlinearities have been implemented to the model, as well. Results are then compared with experimental tests conducted at the Jordan University of Science and Technology. According to the most significant observation of the analysis, a separation of the column flange from the extended end - plate occurs. Other important structural parameters of the connection, like the impact of some column stiffeners on the overall response, local buckling of the column and friction of the beam to column interface, have been examined as well.

최근 비연결지향형(Connectionless)의 IP 상에 연결지향형(Connection-oriented)의 LSP 를 지원하는 MPLS(Multi-Protocol Label Switching) 서비스에 대한 관심이 증가되고 있다. 이는 트래픽 엔지니어링(TE: Traffic Engineering)과 Qos(Quality of Service) 제공 등의 향상된 서비스에 대한 요구사항이 증가하면서, 이에 적합한 차세대 인터넷 서비스의 효율적인 제공 방안으로 IETF 에서 표준화하고 있는 MPLS 기술이 대두되고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 사용자의 요구사항을 만족하기 위하여 한국전자통신 연구원에서는 ACE2000 MPLS 시스템을 개발했으며, 초고속망에 적용되는 MPLS 시스템을 관리하기 위한 관리 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) 기반의 MPLS 망 관리 시스템과 트래픽 엔지니어링 관리 기능을 중심으로 관리 대상, 관리 수행 절차 등을 설명한다.

A different kind of approximation has been developed in connection with calculation of the normal family distributions in digital computer. These approximations usually employ polynomial expressions. They give quite high accuracy, sometimes only within definite limits on the values of the variable. Outside these limits they may give quite poor approximations. In this paper we compare these approximations by criteria of C.P.U. time and accuracy using micro computer. Approximation formulas given by Zelen and Severo (1984) are proven to give the most accurate results within allowable C.P.U. time.
