  • The hospital biomedical engineering team is responsible for establishing and regulating the Medical Device Management Program (MEMP) to ensure that medical devices are safe and reliable. As technology advances, medical devices such as artificial intelligence and precision medicine are developing into a form that allows connection between objects anytime, anywhere, and as various technologies converge, internal and external security threats continue to increase. In this paper, we present a study of the Medical Device Management Program (Secure-MEMP) method, considering that the security threat of medical devices continues to increase due to advances in technology.

  • Dispute related to construction projects involving numerous persons is one of the biggest challenges faced by contractors today. It costs a substantial amount of money and time in resolving these kinds of claims. Recently, with the changes in the construction environment and thought of relation with owner, the number of construction claims has increased. But, a majority of these claims do not prevail, and in fact, frequently get dismissed in its entirety. The reasons for such dismissals include the ignorance about the claims, lack of clear and convincing evidence, and so on. But most of reasons are the claims are not managed well on construction process. This paper analyzes the failure causes by relying on past claim failure cases, and then drew works that have connection with failure causes through interview. It also presented importance degree of construction management works.

  • IoT management hub has to request the WLAN AP list of the accessible areas in a place that is installed, or choose a specific WLAN AP you want to connect in order to be connected to the Internet. the specific method also is required to input the password when the security key was set. As that way, IoT management hub needs both the display device and the input device to see the list of WLAN AP and to input the security key. If the IoT management hub is consist of them, It is difficult to achieve the objective of the miniaturization and cost reduction. In this paper, we propose a method to connect to a WLAN AP network using a smart-phone without the display device and the input device.

  • This paper focuses on building up a database of commercial stocks using XML syntax and looks into a way of building up a system with the combination of XML and XSLT that provides connectivity to client-server databases through vocal means. The use of XSLT has several advantages. Most importantly, it can transform a type of data into different formats. A vocal interface minimizes some space and time limits imposed on users outside premises when they need an instant connection to their database. In this fashion, the users can check information on stock lists without being pressurized by certain limits. PC, PDAs and cellular phones are some examples of mobile connection. The use of VoiceXML creates vocal applications. In VoiceXML servies, users can gain immediate access to data upon the input of their voices and the DTMF signals of the telephone.

  • As a result of establishing the regional self-government system, regional residents came to take more interest in their land ownership rights and relevant areas. The administrative bodies in South Korea are trying their best to meet the complicated and diversified demands of the residents regarding land and construction administration. However, governmental agencies are having difficulties identifying land characteristics on the field as part of standard lands change every year. Also, the vague boundaries of agricultural and mountainous land areas are causing surveyors problems in spotting the right areas. Thus, this study intends to provide information and guidance on an accurate land price calculation system in connection between the land information system and PDA technology for distribution of accurate information regarding lands and their management.

  • Most implementations of HTTP servers do not distinguish among requests for hypermedia data from different clients. Commercialization of Web site is becoming increasingly common. Therefore providing quality of service with members paying to the site is often an important issue for the hosts. For some uses, such as web prefetching or multiple priority schemes, different levels of service are desirable. We propose server-side TCP connection management mechanisms to provide two different levels of Web service, high and regular levels by setting different timeout for inactive connection. Therefore this mechanism can effectively provide different service classes even in the absence of operating system and network support.

  • Recently, mobile devices have supported wireless LAN as well as bluetooth, where the services such as heterogeneous network access and seamless mobility connection are important. Even though the mobility and physical network might be varied, an efficient communication mechanism for the network access and a robust mobility management of mobile devices are needed. In this paper, we design and implement a Bluetooth system with mobile LAN access capability. The proposed system has the following features; 1) IP connection is enabled by BENP in the link layer, 2) The networks devices of heterogeneous mobile devices are integrated into a single virtual network interface, 3) IP mobility between the bluetooth and wireless LAN is supported by mobile IP. The experimented results show that the packet loss and delay time during the handover duration is reduced by predicting the handover among different networks followed by the setup of any required parameters in advance.

  • This research presents new type of remote monitoring and control solution of PLC that can be used bi-directional and efficient management of factory automation through internet. This system has client/server architect for information handling between PLC and remote computer where a user can control and monitor target PLC. Actually the authors redirect RS232C connection between PLC and server computer into Internet connection between PLC and remote client computer using supplied PLC tool program So user feel like in front of PLC panel when he operates remote PLC through Internet. Each client/server program is constructed with Java language for security. In this paper the internet-based remote control system was proposed and proved validity by being applied to redirection of PLC control for factory automation.

  • This paper proposes an enhanced transport protocol for multipeer communications. It is assumed that there exists a transport connection owner that takes the roles of the establishment, management and termination of a transport connection. The proposed protocol classifies the data transfer type into simplex, duplex and N-plex multicasts and provides several transport services to support various requirements in group communications. The general operations and reliability controls of each transfer type are different from one another and carried out by a shared control tree. The QoS negotiation is performed during the creation phase. The notification of negotiated values is followed by an acknowledgment procedure for confirmation. The four-way handshake is introduced. After negotiation, such a resource reservation protocol as RSVP can reserve system and network resources according to the arbitrated values. This paper suggests a conceptual model of the transport layer and its protocol behaviors over the IP multicast and RSVP network.
