This paper proposes a method to find an optimal T' with the most terminal of the subset of T' trees that can be connected by a given length by improving a memetic genetic algorithm within several constraints, when the set of terminal T is given to the Euclidean plane R². Constraint (1) is that a given length cannot connect all terminals of T, and (2) considers only the rectilinear layout of the edge connecting each terminal. The construction of interconnections has been used in various design-related areas, from network to architecture. Among these areas, there are cases where only the rectilinear layout is considered, such as wiring paths in the computer network and VLSI design, network design, and circuit connection length estimation in standard cell deployment. Therefore, the heuristics proposed in this paper are expected to provide various cost savings in the rectilinear layout.

So far, Korean command post vehicles(CPs) have used voice-only radio communication among the mechanized troop units such MBTs and IFVs, etc. But digital data communication technology should be introduced to improve mission success capabilities and accommodate integrated combat capabilities through increasing SA(situation Awareness), or spatiotemporal synchronization of military operation in battle field environment. Therefore, conventional CPs, which have been operated without digital network, urgently needs to mount a battle management system which furnish with tactical information network, considering that korean new MBTs or new IFVs will be fielded soon. This study suggests some performance enhancement method which might be applicable to CPs which have a role of connecting Battalion unit to Brigade C4I system.

Ku-Band주파수 합성기를 PLL과 주파수 체배 방법을 이용하여 설계 및 제작하였다. 안정된 약 1 GHz의 주파수를 합성하기 위해 PLL 회로의 설계 과정 및 동작 특성을 제어이론을 바탕으로 고찰하였다. 안정된 약 1 GHz PLL 회로에 주파수 2 체배기, 주파수 8 체배기를 연결하여 Ku-Band 주파수를 합성하였다. 실험결과를 통하여 Ku-Band 주파수 합성기 설계 방법의 타당성을 확인하였다.

The spurious electromagnetic radiation is generated due to the RF unbalanced current on a conductive cable connecting an electronic device to another. A metamaterial-based filtering geometry with frequency selectivity is suggested to reduce the radiation with a bandgap structure, where the right-handed inductance and capacitance stem from the transmission-like configuration between the cable and the metal protrusion, and the left-handed components come from the narrow cavities. The effect of the structure on the unbalanced current pulse and its spurious radiation is presented in the FDTD-method frame work.

Millimeter-wave networking is composed of narrow beam link. it is very substantial that beam connecting point to point is fixed in right direction. It is major requirement in the beam network to keep the beam in best direction. In this paper, We propose the method to find a best suited direction of the antenna's beam using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) in point-to-point link. Proposed method presume that each station knows his direction ${\theta}_1$ , ${\theta}_2$ at every step of GA, then it can be expected that GA is possible to search the ideal solution. Intensity of the received signal is evaluated by the multiplication of lengths to the point which the lobe meets with the horizontal line.

The most important issues in gesture recognition are the simplification of algorithm and the reduction of processing time. The mathematical morphology based on geometrical set theory is best used to perform the real-time processing. A key idea of the algorithm proposed in this paper is to apply morphological shape decomposition. The primitive elements extracted from a hand gesture have very important information including the directivity of the hand gestures. Based on this algorithm, we proposed the morphological hand-gesture recognition algorithm using feature vectors extracted from lines connecting the center points of a main-primitive element and sub-primitive elements. Through the experiments, we applied to the video contents browsing system with natural interactions and demonstrated the efficiency of this algorithm.

Railway takes an important role of transporting massive passenger and freight. Accidents which occur related to trains have a risk of serious loss of lives, so those accidents need to be controlled urgently Therefore moving picture transmission system is required which transmits exact information of moving picture of accident status to CTC and also communication line is also required with it. By using WTB line as a wayside transmission line, railway telephones, fax and train service information are provided to local offices. As transmission line improving project, optical cabling work is being processed by phases. Therefore optical fiber line is more effective way for a communicating way between stations than coaxial transmission line. This Paper considers connecting method when optical fibers is used for moving picture data transmission of train accidents and its problems.

GIS-based integrated management system was developed for the treated wastewater to be reused as agricultural water. The major scopes of this research includes developing different types of system such as connecting data of wastewater treatment plants to data of hydraulic structures and paddy field ; separating spatial data into the watershed boundary and the agricultural water boundary ; and estimating applicable site for reuse. This system can enable to provide more scientific support to manage information of effluent and agricultural data utilizing GIS techniques.

As the real time multimedia data service has become available due to the rapid progress of computer and Internet technology, the users can enjoy the newly developed service, which is called Video On-Dem-and(VOD). However, most of service providers have not paid their attention much on the software for various service modes on VOD, but they are only concentrating un the hardware to provide with the high resolution video display. Therefore, the service providers are recently to pay more attention on the software to cope with the various demands of users than hardware. So this paper has designed and implemented the VOD service system for those demands. Since the VOD service system suggested by this paper enable off-line search functions through E-mail, the users can possibly get the necessary information from off-line Search without connecting to the server while the current VOD service can prominently help users to save the time and effort to sea고 and select the Video contents by using periodical current awareness service supported by PUSH technology and user oriented information booking and feedback service supported by SDI service.

삼각측량의 원리를 이용하 거리 탐색기를 사용하여 거리 영상을 취득하는 경우에 발생하는 측정오차를 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 기하학적 방법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과로 추정 오차는 카메라에서 물체까지의 거리에 비례하는 것을 보였다. 또한 카메라 초점과 물체를 지나는 직선이 광원과 물체를 연결하는 직선과 직각인 경우 측정값이 가장 정밀한 것을 보였다. 또한 이 결과가 해석학의 기법을 사용하여 분석한 결과와 일치함을 보였고 실험을 통하여 이를 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과는 동일한 카메라가 광원을 사용한 경우에도 카메라의 방향과 물체까지의 거리를 변화시켜서 측정 정밀도를 향상시킬 수 있다는 것을 보인다.
