  • For the excited states of a hydrogen molecule up to n = 3 active spaces, potential energy curves (PECs) are obtained for values of the internuclear distance R in the interval [0.5, 10] a.u. within an accuracy of $1{\times}10^{-4}$ a.u. (Hartree) compared to the accurate PECs of Kolos, Wolniewicz, and their collaborators by using the multi-reference configuration-interaction method and Kaufmann's Rydberg basis functions. It is found that the accuracy of the PECs can be further improved beyond $1{\times}10^{-4}$ a.u. for that R interval by including the Rydberg basis functions with angular momentum quantum numbers higher than l = 4.

  • In this study, Rheoencephalography( REG ) was designed and constructed. Using the cons- tructed instrument cerebral blood flow(CBF) of left and right brain, CBF change by posture, and reproducibility were studied. Followings are important results. Relative CBF could be measured noninvasively and continuously. Since reproducibility of the constructed REG was found to be quite high (4%), the accuracy of the instrument itself was proved. REG can be easily applied for testing the effect of drugs for the patients with cerebral vessel diseases since it is quite sensitive to the relative changes of CBF. Various cerebral diseases can be diagnosed by analyzing the REG waveforms. The area of restricted cerebral blood vessels can be located by arranging the electrode configuration. Comparative studies with the standard techinques of measuring CBF are needed to verify the accuracy of REG. Further studies on optimal electrode configuration and various artifacts are also necessary.

  • Here are proposed the tunable laser for optical memory which uses the acousto-optic deflector. This laser includes the acousto-optic deflector in the Littrow mount configuration so that we may control the beam deflection by means of the induced RF. Consequently, we can achieve the higher speed and accuracy to compare with the Littrow monut configuration only.

  • The affected factors for an accuracy of theodolite system are not only the measurement environment of temperature, illumination, etc. but also the measurement processes of the distance between two theodolites, the distance from theodolite system to scale bar and the distance from theodolite system to targets. We have known that the best collimation distance between two theodolites and the best distance from theodolite system to scale bar is $3{\sim}4m$. This study was performed for searching the best distance from theodolite system to targets on above measurement configuration. And, we could know that the best distance from theodolite system to targets is $2{\sim}6m$ and the system accuracy could be within ${\pm}0.025mm$.

  • In this paper, we propose the operation procedures of the 1-channel monopulse receiver which achieves the new configuration. Also, we analyzed the monopulse ratio and the target angle accuracy of the fabricated receiver by using the monopulse signal generator developed for verifying the proposal equipment. As a result, it is apparent that the monopulse ratio of the proposal receiver is equal to that of the 3-channel monopulse receiver. Also, the fabricated receiver exhibits the target angle accuracy with fewer than 0.1 RMS. The proposal receiver achieves the simple receiver configuration and the simple tracking procedures, as contrasted with the 3-channel monopulse receiver. Also, the proposal receiver has advantages in terms of size, weight, cost and power. Because the proposal monopulse receiver requires 1-channel receiver and needs not the signal processor in comparison with 3-channel monopulse receiver which requires 3-channel receiver and need the signal processor.

  • In photogrammetry, the accuracy is analyzed by using the coordinate of the targeted position determined by the geometric principle, thus, the reliability depends on the accuracy of the coordinate of the targeted position. Thereby, geographic surveying is essential to perform such tasks, and it requires approximately $30{\sim}50%$ of total cost and times to produce a finalized map. The main purpose of this study is to determine the configuration of the disposition of minimum datum points and their configuration, which were determined by surveying values available through using the structure of block model based on the aerotriangulation. ortho projection image was produce and digital topographic map was achieved by the optima model(CASE7). We also performed comparative analysis about the result of local datum point and the accuracy of overlapping based on the surveying results. Consequently, it is possible to analyze the unknown position accurately with the optimal model., CASE 7, which is the minimum datum points configuration required to block adjustment. Furthermore, this optimal model, which provides the minimum datum points, results costs and time saving effects compared to the previous methodology.

  • A handheld sheet resistance meter that can easily and quickly measure the sheet resistance of indium tin oxide films was developed. The dual-configuration four-point probe method was adopted for this instrument, which measured sheet resistance in the range from $0.26{\Omega}/sq$. to $2.6k{\Omega}/sq$. with 0.3 % ~ 0.5 % uncertainty. The screen of the instrument displayed the sheet resistance when the probe was in contact with the sample surface and the value continued to be displayed during the probe contact. Even after separating the probe from the surface, the value was still displayed on the screen and could be read easily. A feature of the instrument was the use of the dual-configuration technique to reduce edge effects markedly compared with the single-configuration technique and its ease of operation without applying correction factors for sample size and thickness.

  • This paper focuses on improving accuracy in constrained computing settings by employing the ReLU (Rectified Linear Unit) activation function. The research conducted involves modifying parameters of the ReLU function and comparing performance in terms of accuracy and computational time. This paper specifically focuses on optimizing ReLU in the context of a Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) by determining the ideal values for features such as the dimensions of the linear layers and the learning rate (Ir). In order to optimize performance, the paper experiments with adjusting parameters like the size dimensions of linear layers and Ir values to induce the best performance outcomes. The experimental results show that using ReLU alone yielded the highest accuracy of 96.7% when the dimension sizes were 30 - 10 and the Ir value was 1. When combining ReLU with the Adam optimizer, the optimal model configuration had dimension sizes of 60 - 40 - 10, and an Ir value of 0.001, which resulted in the highest accuracy of 97.07%.

  • The purpose of this paper is to improve the matching accuracy in identifying corresponding points in the area-based matching for the processing of stereo vision. For the selection of window size, a new method is proposed based on frequency domain analysis. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed through a series of experiments. To overcome disproportionate distortion in stereo image pair, a new matching method using the warped window is also proposed. In the algorithm, the window is warped according to imaging geometry. Experiments on a synthetic image show that the matching accuracy is improved by 14.1% and 4.2% over the rectangular window method and image warping method each.

  • Configuration design, analysis, and wind tunnel test of a vane-type multi-function air data probe (MFP) was described. First, numerical analysis was conducted for the initial configuration of the MFP in order to investigate aerodynamic characteristics. Then, the design was modified to improve static and dynamic stability for better response characteristics. The modified configuration design was verified through wind tunnel tests. The test results are also used to verify the accuracy of the analytical method. The analytically estimated aerodynamic damping provided by the Navier-Stokes equation solver correlated well with the wind tunnel test results. According to the calculation, the damping coefficient estimated from ramp motion analysis yielded a better correlation with the wind tunnel test than pitch oscillation analysis.
