교통하중에 대한 3차원 하이브리드 면진시스템의 수직 진동성능 평가 (Evaluation of Vertical Vibration Performance of Tridimensional Hybrid Isolation System for Traffic Loads)

  • 본 연구에서는 진동원으로서 교통하중(고속열차)에 대해 수직 방진기능과 수평 면진기능을 조합한 3차원 하이브리드 면진시스템(Tridimensional Hybrid Isolation System, THIS)을 제안하였고, 고속열차 진동에 대한 THIS의 수직 진동 사용성 개선 효과를 해석적으로 평가하였다. 해석을 위하여 실제 16층의 공동주택을 상용구조해석프로그램의 고유치해석과 침실 바닥판에 대한 펄스 응답 분석을 통해 주요 진동모드를 식별하였고, 이 주요 진동 모드를 가지고 바닥판의 수평과 수직, 회전 자유도를 가지는 16개 층의 골조 모델을 제작하였다. 해석방법은 실제 고속철도가 통행할 때 철로와 인접한 구조물에서 계측한 가속도를 진동원으로 적용하고 THIS의 강성과 감쇠비를 변수로 상태-공간방정식을 이용하여 동적해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 기존 구조물의 수직 고유주기 대비 THIS의 수직 주기가 커질수록 층별 바닥판 응답이 저감되기 시작하는 임계 주기비가 다르고, 주기가 5배 이상(0.006 이하의 강성비)일 때 모든 바닥판의 가속도 수준이 비면진 대비 약 70% 이하로 감소하였다. 또한, THIS의 감쇠비에 대한 응답 제어에 미치는 영향이 매우 적은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 THIS에 대한 수직 진동 사용성 개선 효과를 확인하기 위하여 비면진 구조물과 0.006의 강성비와 0.03의 감쇠비를 가지는 THIS가 적용된 구조물에 대하여 1층과 16층 바닥판 가속도를 AIJ, SCI, AISC 진동 사용성 기준에 따라 평가하였고, 기존에 주거지 사용성 기준을 만족하지 못한 데 반해, THIS 적용 후 주거지 사용성 기준을 모두 만족하는 것을 확인하였다.

트랜치 깊이가 STI-CMP 공정 결함에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Trench Depth on the STI-CMP Process Defects)

  • 최근 반도체 소자의 고속화 및 고집적화에 따라 배선 패턴이 미세화 되고 다층의 금속 배선 공정이 요구됨에 따라 단차를 줄이고 표면을 광역 평탄화 시킬 수 있는 STI-CMP 공정이 도입되었다. 그러나, STI-CMP 공정이 다소 복잡해짐에 따라 질화막 잔존물, 찢겨진 산화막 결함들과 같은 여러 가지 공정상의 문제점들이 심각하게 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이상과 같은 CMP 공정 결함들을 줄이고, STI-CMP 공정의 최적 조건을 확보하기 위해 트렌치 깊이와 STI-fill 산화막 두께가 리버스 모트 식각 공정 후, 트랜치 위의 예리한 산화막의 취약함과 STI-CMP공정 후의 질화막 잔존물 등과 같은 결함들에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 실험결과, CMP 공정에서 STI-fill의 두께가 얇을수록, 트랜치 깊이가 깊을수록 찢겨진 산화막의 발생이 증가하였다. 트랜치 깊이가 낮고 CMP 두께가 높으면 질화막 잔존물이 늘어나는 반면, 트랜치 깊이가 깊어 과도한 연마가 진행되면 활성영역의 실리콘 손상을 받음을 알 수 있었다

혈액에서 혐기성 세균이 분리된 환자의 임상 및 세균학적 검토 (Clinical and Bacteriological Evaluation of the Patients with Anaerobic Bacteria Isolation from Blood)

  • Isolation and identification of anaerobic bacteria from blood cultures are still technically demanding procedures. Recently, with the use of gas liquid chromatography, the accuracy of identification is much improved. However, there has never been a satisfactory data analysis on anaerobic bacteremia in Korea. The authors evaluated both the clinical and the bacteriological data of 129 anaerobic bacteremias found at the Yonsei Medical Center during the period of 1973 to 1984. The most frequently isolated anaerobic bacteria were Bacteroides (52.7%), among which the major species was B. fragilis (38.7%). Incidence of anaerobic bacteremia by sex was 57% in male and 43% in female. Mortality was higg in groups below 1-year old and above 50-year old. The cause of death seemed closely correlated with the patient's age, general condition and the severity of the underlying disease. Various neoplasms were the most common (20%) underlying diseases predisposing the anaerobic bacteremia. Biliary tract was considered the most frequent route of infection in anaerobic bacteremia. The frequent clinical signs in anaerobic bacteremia were fever (65%), followed by liver function abnormality (29%), jaundice (20%) and hypotention(18%). When analysis of positive rate of blood culture was made on the patients from whom 4 cultures were done within 24 hours, it was found that 33% of the samples were positive. Isolation rate of anaerobic bacteria in thioglycollate medium was 83.8%, while it was 44% in Tryptic soy broth. Among the anaerobic bacteremia, 25.4% were polymicrobial infections with aerobic bacteria (92.5%), such as E. coli(33.3%). From these studies, it is concluded that B. fragilis is the most important causative organism in anaerobic bacteremia, with high fatality, particularly in those who have underlying diseases. The ports of entry are mainly biliary, gastrointestinal and female genital tract. Fever is the most frequent clinical sign. Single blood culture is not sufficient to detect all anaerobic bacteremia, therefore more cultures with optimal time interval are needed. The incidence of polymicrobial infection in anaerobic bacteremia is higher than that in overall bacteremia.

녹지연계망 조성을 위한 거점 분석 -대구광역시의 사례 - (An Analysis of Green Space Base for Networking in Daegu Metropolitan Municipality)

  • The objective of this research was an investigation of the important green spaces in Daegu and to present the basic frame of green network in Daegu. Present the condition of the significant green spaces is as follows: In the 3km radius of the city center, the isolation and discontinuation of the green spaces was extensive, caused by crowding of houses and funeral parlours. Consequently, the isolation relaxation which leads to the additional creation of the green spaces and a buffering plan were demanded. In the transfer area of a 3∼6km radius, which is located between the city center's congested area and the suburb green spaces, the significant green spaces had high connection and buffering characteristic, but in the northwest and the south, serious discontinuation appeared between the suburb green spaces and the city conte green spaces. In the 6∼9km radius, the suburb important green spaces accomplished the function which extended the back core green spaces to the city center area. But creation of buffering green spaces was necessary in part because of proximity to the resident area. The results suggest a connection between green spaces on the base of the distribution of the important green spaces, were as follows: In the 3km radius, irregular direction lines appeared while a schedule one direction line appeared in 3∼6km and 6∼9km radius. The discontinued parts of the green network were caused by industrial complexes, house crowding, and cultivation areas. Consequently, reservation and creation plans of green spaces in response to this were demanded. Through the additional creation of green spaces in the discontinued parts, the basic frame of green network in Daegu was the radiation annular form. And it was suitable to activate the parks and the general green spaces.

Seismic vibration control of bridges with excessive isolator displacement

  • The effectiveness of base isolation (BI) systems for mitigation of seismic vibration of bridges have been extensively studied in the past. It is well established in those studies that the performance of BI system is largely dependent on the characteristics of isolator yield strength. For optimum design of such systems, normally a standard nonlinear optimization problem is formulated to minimize the maximum response of the structure, referred as Stochastic Structural Optimization (SSO). The SSO of BI system is usually performed with reference to a problem of unconstrained optimization without imposing any restriction on the maximum isolator displacement. In this regard it is important to note that the isolator displacement should not be arbitrarily large to fulfil the serviceability requirements and to avoid the possibility of pounding to the adjacent units. The present study is intended to incorporate the effect of excessive isolator displacement in optimizing BI system to control seismic vibration effect of bridges. In doing so, the necessary stochastic response of the isolated bridge needs to be optimized is obtained in the framework of statistical linearization of the related nonlinear random vibration problem. A simply supported bridge is taken up to elucidate the effect of constraint condition on optimum design and overall performance of the isolated bridge compared to that of obtained by the conventional unconstrained optimization approach.

카슨 매컬러스의 '불구적' 사랑에 관한 통찰 -『슬픈 카페의 노래』를 중심으로 (A Truth about 'Deformed' Love in Carson McCullers' The Ballad of the Sad Cafe)

  • This paper aims to examine a truth about love - the close relationship between a person's passionate love and that same person's loneliness and suppressed desires, a relationship that Carson McCullers (1917-1967) portrays in The Ballad of the Sad Cafe. McCullers, one of several brilliant writers from Southern America, managed to overcome her cruel situation and showed deep insight into the human condition, particularly in regard to the relation between love and isolation. The Ballad of the Sad Cafe, like her other works, examines the spiritual isolation and the agony of love that three lovers experience. The love in this story is a triangular relationship among the three main characters, Amelia, Lymon and Marvin Macy. The distinctive characteristics of love described in this story are that each character falls into blind and passionate love for the person he/she loves, no matter how the beloved responds. Love also changes the lover, not the beloved, revealing the completely opposite nature of the lover. The opposite nature and the inner secrets that the love reveals about the lovers reflect their frustrated and suppressed desires, which is femininity and motherhood for Amelia, non-violent masculine power for Macy, and physical attraction and power for the hunchback, Lymon. These suppressed desires are rooted in the deep sense of frustration that they had to experience in their childhood. In short, the seemingly unconditional love of the main characters is not an ideal, altruistic love, but a reflection of their inner desires. This story, however, does not seem to criticize this kind of love but simply tries to give an honest picture of what love might be. It also admits that 'deformed' love is still better than no love (and consequently no stimulus) because what really damages and causes decay in human beings and in a community, is the state of boredom.

인광석 가용화 세균의 분리 및 가용화 최적조건 (Isolation of Insoluble Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacteria and Optimum Condition for Solubilization)

  • PDA-calcium phosphate 평판배지를 이용하여 인산가용화활성을 가진 850종의 세균을 분리한 후 인광석에 대한 인산가용활성이 가장 강한 HS-2 균주를 선발하였다. 선정 균주의 형태학적, 배양학적 및 생리생화학적 특성 등을 조사한 결과 Azotobacter sp. HS-2로 동정되었고, 이 균주을 인광석을 0.1%함유한 Potato dextrose Broth배지 (pH 6.0)에 접종하여 $30^{\circ}C$에서 5일 배양했을 때 인광석이 가장 많이 분해되었고 0.5M의 수산을 첨가했을 때 분해율이 약 50% 증가되었다.

Spontaneous Electrical Activity in Cerebellar Purkinje Neurons of Postnatal Rats

  • Although cerebellar Purkinje cells display spontaneous electrical activity in vivo and in slice experiments, the mechanism of the spontaneous activity generation has not been clearly understood. The aim of this study was to investigate whether cerebellar Purkinje cells of postnatal rats generate spontaneous electrical activity without synaptic inputs. Dissociated cerebellar Purkinje cells were used for reducing synaptic inputs in the present study. Cerebellar Purkinje cells with dendrites were dissociated from postnatal rats using enzymatic treatment followed by mechanical trituration. Spontaneous electrical activities were recorded from dissociated cells without any stimulus using whole-cell patch clamp configuration. Two types, spontaneously firing or quiescent, of dissociated Purkinje cells were observed in postnatal rats. Both types of cells were identified as Purkinje cells using immunocytochemical staining technique with anti-calbindin after recording. Spontaneously active cells displayed two patterns of firing, repetitive and burst firings. Two thirds of dissociated Purkinje cells displayed repetitive firing and the rest of them did burst firing under same recording condition. Repetitive firing activities were maintained even after further isolation using either physical or pharmacological techniques. Neither high magnessium solution nor excitatory synaptic blockers, AP-5 and DNQX, block the spontaneous activity. These results demonstrate that spontaneous electrical activity of isolated cerebellar Purkinje cells in postnatal rats is generated by intrinsic membrane properties rather than synaptic inputs.

소나 음향센서의 진동유기 소음 차단 특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (An experimental analysis of vibration-induced noise isolation characteristics of a sonar acoustic sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 선체부착형 음향센서의 플랫폼 진동유기 소음 차단 특성을 확인하기 위한 수중 진동 실험을 수행하고 결과를 분석하였다. 음향수조 환경에서 음향센서가 설치된 선체모사구조물과 가진기를 이용하여 플랫폼 진동유기 소음 조건을 구현하였고, 선체모사구조물 및 음향센서에 설치된 표준 가속도계와 음향센서의 출력신호 측정을 통해 음향센서의 진동차단율, 삽입손실 및 진동민감도와 같은 성능지수를 산출하였다. 산출된 성능지수 결과를 토대로 음향센서의 주파수별 소음 차단 특성을 분석하고 실험 기법의 유효성을 검토하였다.

Evaluation of Post-LOCA Long Term Cooling Performance in Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plants

  • The post-LOCA long term cooling (LTC) performance of the Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plant (KSNPP) is analyzed for both small break loss-of-coolant accidents (LOCA) and large break LOCA at cold leg. The RELAP5/MOD3.2.2 beta code is used to calculate the LTC sequences based on the LTC plan of the Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plants (KSNPP). A standard input model is developed such that LOCA and the followed LTC sequence can be calculated in a single run for both small break LOCA and large break LOCA. A spectrum of small break LOCA ranging from \ulcorner.02 to 0.5 k2 of break area and a double-ended guillotine break are analyzed. Through the code calculations, the thermal-hydraulic behavior and the boron behavior are evaluated and the effect of the important action including the safety injection tank (SIT isolation and the simultaneous injection in LTC procedure is investigated. As a result, it is found that the sufficient margin is available in avoiding the boron precipitation in the core. It is also found that a further specific condition for the SIT isolation action need to be setup and it is recommended that the early initiation of the simultaneous injection be taken for larger break LTC sequences.
