  • When top down method is used, it could be a construction method trouble in column joint, between the former concrete and the latter. It could bring a void and weak concrete in column. The purpose of this study is finding a way to prevent concrete void and concrete suitable for top down , through V-metering for top down column and concrete experiment. To minimize the void of reverse placement joint, It is more effect to use the sheath method then direct method in concrete placement.

  • Recently, a large number of box girder bridges with cantilevered decks have been constructed. Especially, segmentally erected prestressed concrete box girder bridges are widely used as economic and aesthetic solutions for long span bridges. Segmental erection is a particularly attractive construction alternative in cases where continuously supported formwork is impractical or uneconomical. In segmentally erected bridges, the structural systems are changed as the construction stages are progressive and redistribution of member forces occurs due to time dependent effects of concrete and relaxation of prestressing steel. Then, in segmentally erected bridges, analysis are required at each construction states. In this study, nonlinear analysis progam of the segmentally erected prestressed concrete box girder bridges is developed in taking into account nonlinearity of material and geometry, time dependent effect of concrete and relaxation of prestressing steel.

  • Recently, the structure is higher and larger, so that the application of high-strength concrete is increased, And as the development of construction skills, it is possible to place during the winter. Concrete work during winter is indispensible to shorten time of completion and cut costs. When concrete work during winter is placed, it has anxiety that concrete freeze at low temperature. As repetition of concrete's freezing cause reduction of durability, it is necessary for mixing to pay attention to air content and W/C ratios. Accordingly, in this study, we estimate the frost resistance by air content and W/C ratios, and development of strength after early-frost damage in the high-strength concrete during the cold weather. In this study, it could be confirmed that factors which were air content, W/C ratios and early curing period, affected on the frost resistance.

  • In this study, a series of soil concrete mixtures were tested for the compressive strength according to ratio of aggregate to binder, compaction energy, maximum aggregate size, ratio of silica fume to cement, and ratio of water to binder. The optimum mixing ratio of soil concrete mixtures composed of volcaniclastic, cement, silica fume, concrete polymer and water were analysed. The test results for optimum proportion were as follows ; (1)ratio of aggregate to binder was 4 : 1, (2)compaction energy level was level 2, (3)maximum aggregate size was 13 mm, (4)ratio of silica fume to cement was 10%, (5)ratio of water to binder was 25%. Also, dry type construction techniques were applied using the optimum soil concrete mixture. From the results of this study, the compressive strength of soil concrete and construction techniques were suitable for making eco-friendly soil pavement.

  • It is necessary to develop a technology for effectively controling explosive spalling of high strength concrete caused increasing construction of high rise building and putting up the fireproof standard of high strength concrete by MLTM (Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs). Accordingly, it was investigated basic properties such as slump, air content and compressive strength, and fire resistance properties of high strength concrete using polypropylene fiber for field application as a countermeasure for explosive spalling of concrete on fire in this study, As a test result, it was confirmed that PP fiber is available as fire resistance method of high strength concrete.

  • A Green Frame is a composite Rahmen precast concrete structure that utilizes the advantages of the steel frame and the reinforced concrete. Compared to bearing wall structure, the precast concrete structure may raise construction cost If the precast concrete members are produced in plant. Thus, if the precast concrete members can be produced in site, the cost-effectiveness and quality shall be increased. Various site conditions must be considered and reviewed to ensure a space for the in-situ production. Therefore, this study focuses on the basic study on the arrangement of in-situ production module of composite precast concrete members.

  • Lately, rapid expansion of construction industry and following increment of demand for concrete in the construction created shortage of aggregates in the nation. Supplement of good quality aggregate is an immediate issue for the construction industry to solve. Therefore, this study evaluated a possibility of using coal mine waste collceted from Kwangwon-do region as a source of aggregate in manufacturing polymer concretes which have high strength and high durability. First, aggregates were obtained by crushing coal mine waste and polymer concrete was manufactured using these aggregate. Mechanical property test results for the polymer concrete showed that the coal mine waste aggregates were acceptable to use as a replacement of the aggregate in polymer concrete manufacture.

  • According to increase of the waste concrete occurrence, recycling has being important more and more. This study is to recycle the waste concrete powder, which is occurred in dry-process during recycling of construction waste. We have tried the waste concrete powder to apply as the replacement of the silica powder in cement extruding product. As a result, it is satisfied that the autoclave cured pannel of 50% replacement ratio of waste concrete powder staisty the level of the flexural strength of 14MPa stipulated by "KS F 4735 Extruding concrete panel" was the same thermal properties as base specimen.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a reference data for the development of high workable and normal strength concrete using Polycarboxylate superplasticizer and granulated blast furnace slag as concrete admixtures. So in this study, it is quantitatively evaluated the workability, compressive strength, the heat of hydration and dry shrinkage of high workable concrete on normal compressive strength($21{\sim}27MPa$) for the practical use in construction field. As a result of this study, it is appeared that the performance of high workable and normal strength concrete is superior than that of ready-mixed concrete of the same strength through the B/P tests in the plants.

  • For the structural analysis of reinforced concrete structures, the mechanical properties of concrete at each temperature are required and the mechanical property values according to specific temperature are presented in the design regulations and codes. In this study, the mechanical properties of concrete were experimented by using 35MPa concrete produced in Korea from 20℃ to 900℃(two kinds of test method). Compared the results with previous domestic papers, we aimed to contribute to the construction of mechanical characteristics D.B. of at the elevated temperatures of domestically produced concrete which can be used for structural analysis in fire.
