  • This paper presents a thermal analysis of an interior PM synchronous machine with concentrated winding for electric vehicle. The conventional thermal equivalent network model has been used for a long time for calculation of the temperature rises in electrical machines. In spite of being popular, this method can not be applied correctly for elements with complicated cooling structure like liquid cooled housing. To overcome this drawbacks, in this paper, a hybrid thermal model using the result of CFD analysis partly. Using this method, to improve a thermal performance of PMSM with concentrated winding, the effects of two design parameters are analysed. Finally, the accuracy of this model has been verified by experiments for the developed 21kW motor.

  • The stability behavior of the cantilever beam carrying several masses and subjected to a follower force at its free end is investigated. The effects of the location and the mass ratio of the concentrated masses on the stability of the system are discussed. An optimal location of the concentrated mass is determined to give maximum critical follower force. Discontinuities of the flutter load are observed for the system with more than two concentrated masses.

  • This paper is for the vibration analysis of thick plate with concentrated mass on a inhomogeneous pasternak foundation. The vibration of rectangular plate on the inhomogeneous pasternak foundation, natural frequency of this plate with Concentrated Mass are calculated A thick rectangular plate resting on a inhomogeneous pasternak foundation is isotropic, homogeneous and composite with linearly elastic material. In order to analysis plate which is supported on inhomogeneous pasternak foundation, the value of winkler foundation parameter(WFP) of centural and border zone of plate are chosen as WFP1 and WFP2 respectively. The value of WFP1 and WFP2 can be changed as 10, 10$^3$ and the value of SFP(shear foundation parameter) also be changed 5, 15 respectively.

  • Dynamic stability of an axially oscillating cantilever beam with a concentrated mass is investigated in this paper. The equations of motion are derived and the derived equations include harmonically oscillating parameters which originate from the motion-induced stiffness variation. Under certain conditions of the frequency and the amplitude of oscillating motion, parametric instabilities may occur. The multiple scale perturbation method is employed to obtain the stability analysis results. It is found that the system stability varies with the magnitude or the location of the concentrated mass. Instability increases as the concentrated mass approaches to the free-end or its magnitude increases.

  • The purpose of this experimental study was to analyze the stress distribution from fixed partial dentures to the surrounding structures. This study was carried out on the experimental bridges with K-L blade, F.D.B.I.-11 type, F.D.B.I.-21 type, shape-memory metal blade and two-Apacerams as posterior abutment. The stress patterns and fringes were observed through the circular transmission polariscope. The results of this study were obtained as follows: 1. The stress was more concentrated to the roots apex than the implants. 2. In all blade implants, the stress was more concentrated to the distal side than the mesial side. 3. F.D.B.I.-11 type was more stress concentrated than the 21 type. 4. Shape-memory metal blade was the most effective for stress distribution. 5. Apacerams were more stress concentrated than the blde types and in the model of Apaceram with rubber-ring, anterior root was tipped distally.

  • Objective To know about hygienic condition of drinking water in rural area of Kunming. Methods Selected 4 counties with different economy to investigate. In every county, according to the proportion, 10 drinking water spots were selected by randomization of lift drinking water'. Results In 4 areas, surface water for drinking is 82.41%, under water is 17.59%. And concentrated supply is 83.02% by populated proportion, others are 16.98%. 40 specimens qualification rate is 47.50%, and in it concentrated supply is 87.50%, others are 19.05%. Conclusion Unhealthy drinking water exist in most testing counties. Mainly microorganism isn't qualified. Concentrated management in drinking water is batter than other ways.

  • This paper deals with optimum design criteria to minimize the torque ripple of a concentrated winding Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The feasibility of using RSM with the finite element method (FEM) in practical engineering problem is investigated with computational examples and comparison between the fitted response and the results obtained from an analytical solution according to the design variables of stator and rotor in concentrated winding SynRM (6slot).

  • This paper presents performance comparison between concentrated winding and distributed winding of IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) which is recently used for light-weight railway applications. Motors are designed on various schemes and analyzed by using FEM (Finite Element Method) instead of EMCNM (Equivalent Magnetic Circuit Network Method) in order to take into account saturation and non-linear magnetic property. The overall performance such as torque, torque ripple, losses, demagnetization, efficiency, power density and so on are investigated in detail at the rated and maximum operating speed. The results of the analysis found that both concentrated and distributed winding IPMSMs are promising candidates for high power railway traction motor.

  • This paper deals with the optimum design solution on reduction of torque ripple for a Synchronous Reluctance Motor with concentrated winding using response surface methodology. The coupled Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) & Preisach model have been used to evaluate the nonlinear solution. Comparisons are given with characteristics of a SynRM according to the stator winding, slot number, open width of slot, slot depth, teeth width variation in concentrated winding SynRM, respectively. This paper presents an optimization procedure using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to determine design parameters for reducing torque ripple. RSM has been achieved to use the experimental design method in combination with finite Element Method (FEM) and well adapted to make analytical model for a complex problem considering a lot of interaction of design variables. Moreover, Sequential Quadratic Problem (SQP) method is used to solve the resulting of constrained nonlinear optimization problem.

  • Kinetics of holocellulose hydrolysis in concentrated sulfuric acid was analyzed using $^1H$-NMR spectroscopy with different reaction time, temperature and acid concentration in secondary hydrolysis. In this work, reaction condition of secondary hydrolysis was similar to concentrated sulfuric acid process with electrodialysis or simulated moving bed chromatography process for sulfuric acid recycling. By $^1H$-NMR spectroscopy, acid hydrolyzates from higher secondary acid hydrolysis (25-35% acid concentration) was successfully analyzed without any difficulties in neutralization or adsorption of acid hydrolyzate to solid salt. Higher acid concentration, higher temperature and longer reaction time led to more cellulose for glucose conversion but accompanied with glucose to galactose isomerization, glucose to unknown compounds and degradation of glucose to organic acid via furans.
