An Energy Efficient Distributed Approach-Based Agent Migration Scheme for Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • The use of mobile agents for collaborative processing in wireless sensor network has gained considerable attention. This is when mobile agents are used for data aggregation to exploit redundant and correlated data. The efficiency of agent-based data aggregation depends on the agent migration scheme. However, in general, most of the proposed schemes are centralized approach-based schemes where the sink node determines the migration paths for the agents before dispatching them in the sensor network. The main limitations with such schemes are that they need global network topology information for deriving the migration paths of the agents, which incurs additional communication overhead, since each node has a very limited communication range. In addition, a centralized approach does not provide fault tolerant and adaptive migration paths. In order to solve such problems, we have proposed a distributed approach-based scheme for determining the migration path of the agents where at each hop, the local information is used to decide the migration of the agents. In addition, we also propose a local repair mechanism for dealing with the faulty nodes. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme performs better than existing schemes in the presence of faulty nodes within the networks, and manages to report the aggregated data to the sink faster.

  • 빅 데이터 처리는 데이터의 크기나 복잡도가 커서 기존의 전통적인 데이터 처리 기법으로는 다루기 힘든 데이터의 처리를 의미한다. 싱글보드 컴퓨터를 포함하는 스마트 기기의 보급은 데이터를 처리하는 방법에 많은 영향을 미치고 있으며 이 들을 활용하여 데이터를 처리하는 기법에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 빅 데이터 처리에 필요한 분산처리 시스템을 데스크톱 기기 환경이 아니라 라즈베리파이를 활용하여 하둡 분산처리 환경을 구축하는 방안을 제시한다. 또한 제안하는 시스템의 다양한 테스트를 통한 성능 분석과 스케일링의 용이성을 통해 구축한 학습 환경 구성의 효율성을 보인다.

  • 본 논문은 센서 데이터를 수집하고 효과적으로 처리하는 IoT 서비스를 위한 스마트 센서 데이터 통합 처리 시스템을 소개한다. IoT 분야의 발전으로 센서 데이터를 수집하고 이를 네트워크로 송·수신하는 기술을 바탕으로 하는 스마트 홈, 자율주행 자동차 등의 다양한 프로젝트가 진행됨에 따라 센서 데이터를 처리하고 효과적으로 활용하기 위한 자율제어 시스템이 이슈가 되고 있다. 그러나 자율제어 시스템의 모니터링을 위한 센서 데이터 형식은 도메인에 따라 다르기 때문에 각기 다른 다양한 도메인에 자율제어 시스템을 적용하는 스마트 센서 데이터 통합 처리 시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문은 스마트 센서 데이터 통합 처리 시스템을 소개하고, 이를 적용시켜 창문을 기준으로 내부와 외부의 센서 데이터를 처리하기 위해 1) receiveData, 2) parseData, 3) addToDatabase의 3단계 프로세스를 가지고, 자율제어 시스템에 의하여 쾌적한 실내 환경을 조성하기 위해 환기를 하는 자동 창문 개폐 시스템 'Smart Window'를 제안하고 구현한다. 이를 통해 대기 정보를 수집해 모니터링하며, 저장된 데이터를 토대로 통계 분석 및 더 나은 자율제어 수행을 위한 기계학습을 가능하게 한다.

Implementation of Effective Automatic Foreground Motion Detection Using Color Information

  • As video equipments such as CCTV are used for various purposes in fields of society, digital video data processing technology such as automatic motion detection is essential. In this paper, we proposed and implemented a more stable and accurate motion detection system based on background subtraction technique. We could improve the accuracy and stability of motion detection over existing methods by efficiently processing color information of digital image data. We divided the procedure of color information processing into each components of color information : brightness component, color component of color information and merge them. We can process each component's characteristics with maximum consideration. Our color information processing provides more efficient color information in motion detection than the existing methods. We improved the success rate of motion detection by our background update process that analyzed the characteristics of the moving background in the natural environment and reflected it to the background image.

  • This paper is concerned with the development of vibration measurement using the image processing. With the advance of the personal computer and the image processing device, it becomes possible to measure vibrations by converting the image into motion data. The image stored in the computer is based on pixels. Hence, the efficient technique which can compute vibrational motions from pixel data should be developed. In this study, we will show the feasibility of the image processing technique for vibration measurement. The experimental results show that vibrations can be measured from image data.

Mainframe 컴퓨터를 활용한 위성영상 처리 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of Satellite Image Processing Software on Mainframe Computer)

  • A study to develop generalized and systematically designed satellite image processing software system on mainframe computer was successfully carried out. Commercially available softwares such as LARSYS were analyzed and modified, and well known satellite data processing algorithms were implemented into comprehensive software. New algorithms were also presented and developed. The contents of developed softwere system may be divided into 8 major sections: menu and user interface, data file management, preprocessing, enhancement in monochrome image, multi-dimension image analysis, scene classification, image display/hardcopy, image handle utility software. Some additional software such as GIS and DBMS will make this software more comprehensive and generalized one for the satellite data processing.

레이다아 영상의 디지털 영화처리 (Digital Image Processing of Radar Image)

  • Radar image data were collected through the on-line data acquisition system of A/D converter and personal computer, and the image was restorated on CRT or plotter after digital image processing of the data. The digital image processing system which was developed for this study, consisted of some kinds of software as follows : rearrangement, transformation, and enhancement of the image data in real space or frequency space by Fourier transform, edge detection of the image, compact processing, state inferential processing, and so on. Since the image of PPI radar sweeps from the center to the circumference of a circle, the image within a given period has the shape of fan. Therefore the acquired data were transformed to have the same interval as that of data in outmost concentricity. The results of various image processing methods using transformed data were better than those of the methods using original data.

  • Recently, big data and artificial intelligence (AI) based on communication systems have become one of the hottest issues in the technology sector, and methods of analyzing big data using AI approaches are now considered essential. This paper presents diverse paradigms to subjects which deal with diverse research areas, such as image segmentation, fingerprint matching, human tracking techniques, malware distribution networks, methods of intrusion detection, digital image watermarking, wireless sensor networks, probabilistic neural networks, query processing of encrypted data, the semantic web, decision-making, software engineering, and so on.

Extraction of similar XML data based on XML structure and processing unit

  • XML has established itself as the format for data exchange on the internet and the volume of its instance is large scale. Therefore, to extract similar information from XML instance is one of research topics but is insufficient. In this paper, we extract similar information from various kind of XML instances according to the same goal. Also we use only the structure information of XML instance for information extraction because some of XML instance is described without its schema. In order to efficiently extract similar information, we propose a minimum unit of processing and two approaches for finding the unit. The one is a structure-based method which uses only the structure information of XML instance and another is a measure-based method which finds a unit by numerical formula. Our two approaches can be applied to any application that needs the extraction of similar information based on XML data. Also the approach can be used for HTML instance.

Product Recommendation System based on User Purchase Priority

  • As personalized customer services create a society that emphasizes the personality of an individual, the number of product reviews and quantity of user data generated by users on the internet in mobile shopping apps and sites are increasing. Such product review data are classified as unstructured data. Unstructured data have the potential to be transformed into information that companies and users can employ, using appropriate processing and analyses. However, existing systems do not reflect the detailed information they collect, such as user characteristics, purchase preference, or purchase priority while analyzing review data. Thus, it is challenging to provide customized recommendations for various users. Therefore, in this study, we have developed a product recommendation system that takes into account the user's priority, which they select, when searching for and purchasing a product. The recommendation system then displays the results to the user by processing and analyzing their preferences. Since the user's preference is considered, the user can obtain results that are more relevant.
