  • The purposes of this study were to perform theoretical analysis of an electronic-hydraulic hitch control system for position and draft control of tractor implements and to investigate the performance of the control system through computer simulation. Computer simulation models which could predict the responses of the system to the step and sinusoidal inputs in position and draft controls were developed using the simulation package "TUTSIM". The effects of control mode, hydraulic flow rate, deadband, and proportional constant on control performance of the system were investigated. The simulated results were compard with the experimental ones to verify the simulation models. The simulation models appeared to be a useful means for the analysis and the design of the electronic-hydraulic hitch control system.

  • The present voltage-reactive power control aims at an overall coordination of reactive power sources and voltage regulation devices to keep the bus voltages within their allowable bounds on one hand and to reduce the transmission losses on the other. This paper presents an efficient computer control scheme for the real-time control of system voltage and reactive power on the basis of a simplified linear equation by using the system characteristic constant. Computational algorithm is used for the minimization of bus voltage deviation in the first phase of optimization and for the reduction of transmission losses under the constraint of vlotage settling condition in the second phase. The numerical example for sample practical system is also given. The present study on the computer control scheme will contribute to the automation of power system operation in the near future.

  • The greenhouse control system is designed by personal computer. This system should observe and control the growth conditions for crops in both plastic film and glass greenhouses. In this contribution puts emphasis on graphical user interface for greenhouse control system by personal computer under the aim of creating safer, more effective and more economical services. This system is developed for the requirements of the intelligent greenhouse control system and gives a lot of convenience for farmer who is not familiar with pc technique. The GUI and control system are programmed by Visual C++ and Visual Basic.

  • A mechanical-hydraulic hitch control system has been adapted to most agricultural tractors. But it has various defects due to friction, inertia and hysteresis. Recently a number of electronic-hydraulic hitch control systems have been developed in several countries to improve control performance of the agricultural tractors equipped with a mechanical-hydraulic hitch control system. This study was conducted to develop a new electronic-hydraulic hitch control system using an electro-hydraulic servo valve instead of an on-off valve and to carry out computer simulation of the system. According to the result of computer simulation, the control system showed the best performance when the proportional constants were 9 and 4 for position and draft control respectively. The step and frequency responses were improved as flow rate increased.

  • The purpose of this paper is to obtain an accurate nonlinear system model to test various control schemes for a motion control system that requires high speed, robustness and accuracy. An industrial sewing machine equipped with a Brushless DC motor is considered. It is modeled by a neural network that is configured as an output-error dynamical system. The identified model is essentially a one step ahead prediction structure in which past inputs and outputs are used to calculate the current output. Using the model, a 2 degree-of-freedom PID controller to compensate the effects of disturbance without degrading tracking performance has been de-signed. In this experiment, it is not preferable for safety reasons to tune the controller online on the actual machinery. Experimental results confirm that the model is a good approximation of sewing machine dynamics and that the proposed control methodology is effective.

  • This paper proposes a distributed simulator for general control system in CEMTool. Systems can be described by SIMTool likes the simulink in Matlab. For distributed simulation, we can seperate any system into several parallel subsystems in SIMTool. The number of parallel subsystem can be determined by the system's property. After seperation, parallel simulator will do initialization, one-step-ahead simulation, block-distribution and ordering and so on. Finally, simulator will create independent C codes and executive files for each subsystem. The whole system is fulfilled by several PCs, and each PC executes one subsystem. There are communications among these subsystem using reflective memory or ethernet. We have made several experiments, and the 5-stand cold rolling mill control system is our main target. The result of parallel simulation has shown effective speedup in comparison with one pc simulation.

  • Most verification of improvements for adaptive control schemes are. dependent on computer simulations, but these computer simulations have much limitation, because (if complex actual conditions of system. This paper is concerned with the constructions of a thermal process system for experiments with various control schemes. This thermal process system is composed of a water tank, PC-XT, AD/DA converters power supply and thermal sensors. We estimate. the algorithms of pole-assignment adaptive control in the manifold disturbances and environments, changing system dynamics. The system equations for thermal press are included.

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of designing a simple learning variable structure system for repeatable tracking control of robot manipulators. We combine a variable structure control law as the robust part for stabilization and a feedforward learning law as the intelligent part for nonlinearity compensation. We show that the tracking error asymptotically converges to zero. Finally, we give computer simulation results in order to show the effectiveness of our method.

  • DNC(Direct Numerical Control) 네트워크 시스템에 대한 프로그램을 효율적으로 하기 위해서 현재 많은 시스템들이 개발되어 지고있다. 그러나 이 시스템들은 원거리 상의 컴퓨터와 머시닝 센터간에 상호연결이 원만하지 않아 작업에 비효율적인 면이 있고, 또 머시닝 센터의 데이터 송$\cdot$수신에서 오류가 발생되면 시스템에서 운영자가 적절한 대처를 할 수가 없다는 문제점이 있다. 그래서, 본 논문에서는 DNC Network을 통해 NC Controller에서 컴퓨터의 데이터를 오류가 없이 수신이 가능한 데이터 원격제어 시스템을 새로이 구성하였다. 이 데이터 원격제어 시스템의 주요 장점으로는 머시닝 센터에서 운영자가 쉽게 컴퓨터에 저장된 NC데이터의 호출과 송출이 자유롭고, 컴퓨터와 공작기계간의 상호대화가 없어도 NC기계 상에서 원격제어(Remote Control)가 가능하다.

Robust pole assignment of proportional integral control system

  • This paper is concerned with assess the possibility of robust pole assignment of proportional integral(PI) state feedback control system. First, the equivalence relations between a PI control system and an argumented control system proposed by Kawaji and Kim(1994) are extended from the new points of views of invariant closed loop poles. Second, on the relations, a remarkable result that the integral gain of PI control system is directly related to the insensitivity of system is presented. And, it is shown that the design of robust PI pole assignment is possible under the certain conditions.
