This paper propose the method to obtain the inverse kinematics and the Jacobian of the 5-bar parallel robot and apply the nonlinear controller to the 5-bar parallel robot with the dynamic analyses using the Jacobian of the Passive joints with respect to the active ones and singular value decomposition(SVD). It also experimentally shows that we can do high-speed and accuracy tasks using nonlinear control method. And it explains the relation between the property of the position control and manipulability using a new performance index.

The lockup clutch is embeded on torque converter of automatic transmission to prevent the efficiency deterioration of torque converter in high speed. For improving fuel consumption rate, it is desirable to engage the lockup clutch earlier. But, it results in degrading shift quality, due to the transient torque. The transient clutch pressure which affects the shifting quality, should be controlled properly. In this study, to solve the problem, it is analysed the hydraulic circuit of lockup system including line pressure regulating circuit, established the nonlinear model, and designed the PID controller. The line pressure is supplied to the lockup clutch through the lockup control valve by switching the lockup solenoid valve on. In order to control the transient pressure actively, it is needed to control the lockup solenoid valve by closed loop control. The lockup solenoid valve is 2-way on-off valve, and is adequate for PWM control. To reduce the pressure chattering, the carrier frequency is increased. Target pressure profile is computed from optimized velocity difference profile throuth dynamic equation of vehicle system.
In this paper, we generate a trajectory minimized the energy gait of a biped robot for walking a staircase using genetic algorithms and apply to the computed torque controller for the stable dynamic biped locomotion. In the saggital plane, a 6 degree of freedom biped robot that model consists of seven links is used. In order to minimize the total energy efficiency, the Real-Coded Genetic Algorithm (RCGA) is used. Operators of genetic algorithms are composed of a reproduction, crossover and mutation. In order to approximate the walking gait, the each joint angle is defined as a 4-th order polynomial of which coefficients are chromosomes. Constraints are divided into equality and inequality. Firstly, equality constraints consist of position conditions at the end of stride period and each joint angle and angular velocity condition for periodic walking. On the other hand, inequality constraints include the knee joint conditions, the zero moment point conditions for the x-direction and the tip conditions of swing leg during the period of a stride for walking a staircase.
The role of a robot becomes more important as factory automation is widely spread in the manufacturing industry. An off-line program system has been required for uninterruption of production lines because it can save cost and time spent in adjusting a robot to a new workcell. The objective of this paper is to develop our own OLP system for a SCARA type FARA robot with four axes. Three-dimensional graphic results are presented for the case when the robot is simulated using the computed torque method with a PD controller and the continuous path trajectory planning.

In this paper, a method of dynamic modeling and a dynamic control of a mobile robot are presented to show the superiority of the dynamic control comparing to the PD control. This dynamic model is derived from the cartesian coordinates using lagrange equations. Based upon the derived dynamic model, we implemented the dynamic control of the mobile robot using the computed torque method. Time varying non-linear friction terms are not incroporated in this dynamic model. Instead, those are considered as disturbances. This uncertainty in dynamic model of mobile robot is compensated by the outer loop controller using PD algorithm. The validity of this model and the control algorithm are confirmed through the experiments, where the dynamic control algorithm demonstrated robust velocity tracking performance against the unmodeled non-linear frictions. The superiority of this algorithm is demonstrated by comparing to classical PD control algorithm.
We proposed the above-knee prosthesis using rotary MR damper in which knee joint is semi-actively controlled by microprocessor. Dissipation torque in the knee joint can be controlled by the magnetic field which is induced by applying current to a solenoid, Tracking control of knee joint angle was tested by 3-DOF Leg simulator. The experimental results show that the proposed above-knee prosthesis system had good performance in swing phase tracking and repetitive controller in conjunction with a computed control law and PD control law, reduced RMS tracking error as the repetitions of tracking. Moreover, desired knee angle trajectory was generated based on the estimation of gait period with the gyro signal and the tracking control was performed.
The computed-torque method (CTM) shows good trajectory tracking performance in controlling robot manipulator if there is no disturbance or modelling errors. But with the increase of a payload or the disturbance of a manipulator, the tracking errors become large. So there have been many researchs to reduce the tracking error. In this paper, we propose a new control algorithm based on the CTM that decreases a tracking error by generating new reference trajectory to the controller. In this algorithm we used a fuzzy system based on the rule bases. For the numerical simulation, we used a 2-link robot manipulator. To simulate the disturbance due to a modelling uncertainty, we added errors to each elements of the inertia matrix and the nonlinear terms and assumed a payload to the end-effector. In the simulations of several cases, our method showed better trajectory tracking performance compared with the CTM.

This paper proposes a neurofuzzy controllers for trajectory tracking control of robot manipulators. The computed torque method is an effective means for trajectory tracking control. However, the tracking performance of this method is severely affected by the uncertainties of robot manipulators. Therefore, the proposed controller is used to compensate the uncertainties of robot manipulators. In the neurofuzzy controllers, the number of fuzzy rules used fortynine. The effectiveness of the proposed controllers is demonstrated by computer simulations using twolink robot manipulator, As a result, it is confirmed that the output of the proposed neurofuzzy controllers can efficiently decrease the uncertainties of robot manipulator.

A general procedure for the numerical solution of coupled, nonlinear, differential two-point boundary-value problems, solutions of which are crucial to the controller design, has been developed and demonstrated. A fixed-end-points, free-terminal-time, optimal-control problem, which is derived from Pontryagin's Maximum Principle, is solved by an extension of Davidenko's method, a differential form of Newton's method, for algebraic root finding. By a discretization process like finite differences, the differential equations are converted to a nonlinear algebraic system. Davidenko's method reconverts this into a pseudo-time-dependent set of implicitly coupled ODEs suitable for solution by modern, high-performance solvers. Another important advantage of Davidenko's method related to the time-optimal problem is that the terminal time can be computed by treating this unkown as an additional variable and sup- plying the Hamiltonian at the terminal time as an additional equation. Davidenko's method uas used to produce optimal trajectories of a single-degree-of-freedom problem. This numerical method provides switching times for open-loop control, minimized terminal time and optimal input torque sequences. This numerical technique could easily be adapted to the multi-point boundary-value problems.

Motion control of the system is a position control of motor. Motion control of an uncertain robot system is considered as one of the most important and fundamental research directions in the robotics. Some distinguished works using linear control, adaptive control, robust control strategies based on computed torque methodology have been reported. However, it is generally recognized within the control community that these strategies suffer from the following problems : the exact robot dynamics are needed and hard to implement, the adaptive control cannot guarantee the performance during the transient period for adaptation under the variation, the robust control algorithms such as the sliding mode control need information on the bounds of the possible uncertainty and disturbance. And it produces a large control input as well. In this dissertation, a motion control for the unmanned intelligent robot system using disturbance observer is studied. This system is affected with an impact vibration disturbance. This paper describes a stable motion control of the system with the consideration of external disturbance. To obtain the stable motion independently against the external disturbance, the disturbance rejection is strongly required. To address the above issue, this paper presents a Disturbance OBserver(DOB) control algorithm. The validity of the suggested DOB robust control scheme is confirmed by several computer simulation results. And the experiments with a motor system is performed to give the validity of applicability in the industrial field. This results make the easier implementation of the controller possible in the field.
