The Properties of Inter-Locking Block with the Variation of Particle Grading and Shape of Aggregate (골재의 입도와 입형 변화에 따른 인터로킹 블록의 특성)

  • In this paper, the properties of inter-lacking block by the kind of aggregate and fineness modulus are investigated. According to the experimental results, compressive strength and flexural strength increase and absorption ratio decrease with larger fineness modulus in the range of 2.15~4.20. Flexural strength with river sand is higher than that with crushed sand by about 19%, compressive strength with river sand, that with crushed sand by about 11% and absorption ratio with river sand is smaller than that with crushed sand by abort 2%.

  • Recently, underwater concrete constructions are increasing. Therefore it is considered important to control the quality of underwater concrete. In this paper, we have an intention of evaluating fundamental properties of underwater concrete using the anti-washout admixtures. Thus, it has been investigated that the setting slump flow of the concrete, pH value and suspended solids in solution, compressive strength on both of specimens made above and under water. Also the percentage of fine aggregate has been found to alter the compressive strength in underwater concrete.

  • The propose of this study is to examine the mechanical properties of mortar using ground granulated blast-furnace(GGBF) slag. In this study, the mortar replaced by varying fineness and content of GGBF slag is investigated through the change of compressive strength, chemical resistance and weight loss. As the result, it has been found that GGBF slag increase somewhat higher flow value and compressive strength. In addition, the chemical resistance of motar using GGBF slag shows higher flow that of motar not containing GGBF slag.

  • The properties of Low-heat cement are especially in lower heat of hydration than that of other types of cement. In other respect, Low-heat concrete is more advantageous than OPC concrete in chemical resistance, long term age compressive strength, slump loss and resistance to seawater. This paper deals with 28 days age compressive strength and slump loss by elapsed time of mortar and concrete that made with Low-heat cement and 3 types of other cement.

  • This paper persents the characteristics and properties of the five domestic and foreign-made anti-washout admixtures commercially available in Korea. These admixtures have been analysed by experiments to compare among others specifically on the following items : air content, slump-flow, hardening time, pH, filling condition, turbidity, content of chloride, compressive strength of underwater concrete and ratio of ambient / underwater concrete compressive strength. The mix design for comparison has been set according to the Japanese practicesince there is still no guideline concerning underwater concrete available domestically.

  • The properties of cement mortar with nano-heterojunction photocatalysts were investigated in this study. The following tests were conducted with the cement mortar : (1) Flow test of fresh cement mortar, (2) compressive strength and (3) acetaldehyde removal efficiency under visible light. Results indicated that the cement mortar with nano-heterojunction photocatalysts showed higher compressive strength and higher acetaldehyde removal efficiency as the mixing ratio of nano-heterojunction increased.

  • The following results are achieved from a mortar flow test depending on stainless steel slag fineness, replacement ratio, and a research on material age compressive strength, strength activity index. 1. Flow is proportional to the stainless steel slag fineness within the limits of 4000~8000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g, but in the case of fineness 20000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g flow decreases at all conditions except the case of replacement ratio 10%. 2. As stainless steel slag replacement ratio increases, Mortar of flow somewhat decreases. 3. As stainless steel slag blends, compressive strength decreases, but in proportion to the increase of age, compressive strength increases. 4. As stainless steel slag replacement ratio, compressive strength decreases. 5. In the case of stainless steel slag fineness 6000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g and 20.000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g, compressive strength of revelation ratio has the maximum value when it's replacement ratio is 10%.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the compressive strength property into mortar using rice straw ash. In an effort to evaluate the effects of rice straw ash firing temperatures on compressive strength properties of mortar, a change in the components of rice straw ash was observed according to firing temperatures, and compressive strength of mortar and X.R.F was measured. As a results, As the mortar with a mixture ratio of rice straw ash up to 15% was found to have a compressive strength superior to that of plain mortar.

  • Quality control of ready-mixed concrete is most important in the production step because, the performance of hardened concrete is revealed due to ready-mixed concrete. Hardened concrete has several properties physically. Above all things compressive strength of concrete has a greate effect in the design of structures, analysis, and durability. Compressive strength is simple predicted by w/c up to date, but there are some limits because different compressive strengths can be revealed in the same w/c. Therefore this study contributes to the quality control of ready-mixed concrete through statistical analysis for the relation between mix factors in mix design and compressive strength, predictable equation for compressive strength.

  • In this paper, the compressive strength characteristics of cement paste were compared with the addition of liquefied red mud with the addition of nitric acid in order to improve the strength of the deteriorated cement. The results showed that the compressive strength with between 7 days and 28 days was greater than that of liquefied red mud. The ratio of daily compressive strength of the liquefied red mud is higher than that of the Plain with a 1 percent addition rate, and the ratio of compressive strength is lower than that of the Plain on the 28 days. Therefore, the compressive strength of neutralization liquefied red mud compared to liquidated red mud was relatively high, and the compressive strength of the red mud was shown to be improved to a level almost similar to that of Plain.
