An L-band Stacked SOI CMOS Amplifier

  • This paper presents a two stage L-band power amplifier realized with a $0.32{\mu}m$ Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) CMOS technology. To overcome a low breakdown voltage limit of MOSFET, stacked-FET structures are employed, where three transistors in the first stage amplifier and four transistors in the second stage amplifier are connected in series so that their output voltage swings are added in phase. The stacked-FET structures enable the proposed amplifier to achieve a 21.5 dB small-signal gain and 15.7 dBm output 1-dB compression power at 1.9 GHz with a 122 mA DC current from a 4 V supply. A bond wire fine tuning technology enables the amplifier a 23.67 dBm saturated output power with a 20.4 % maximum PAE. The die area is $1.9mm{\times}0.6mm$.

  • 본 논문에서는 Hashin 파손 기준식과 crack band 모델이 접목된 손상변수를 이용하여 점진적파손해석 방법이 개발되었다. 파손기준식을 이용하여 파손의 개시 유무가 판단된다. 파손이 개시된 경우에는 각 파손모드(섬유 인장/압축, 기지 인장/압축)에서 손상변수가 선형 열화 거동에 따라 계산되고, 손상강성행렬을 계산하는데 사용된다. 손상강성행렬은 손상된 재료에 반영되고, 계산된 손상강성행렬을 이용하여 재료의 완전한 파괴를 의미하는 손상변수가 1인 시점이 되기까지 점진적 파손해석이 계속해서 반복적으로 수행된다. 일련의 과정들은 상용해석프로그램인 ABAQUS에 사용자 정의 부프로그램을 이용하여 수행되었다. 제안된 점진적파손해석 도구의 검증을 위하여, 원공을 가진 복합재료 적층판의 시험 결과와 비교를 수행하였으며, 시험 중 디지털 이미지 상관법을 이용하여 획득한 변형률 거동과 해석을 통해 획득한 변형률 거동을 비교하였다. 제안된 해석결과는 시험 결과와 비교하여 유효한 일치를 보였다.

  • The proposed high-speed backup and recovery system is a high performance backup software based on multi streaming I/O and high speed/high compression technology, and can realize an increase efficiency of backup volume without any increase of backup H/W equipments since it provides a high performance in data backup of a user and executes high compression very fast. Particularly, it minimizes consumption of network band width through a development of algorism for high compression in connection with backup equipments in a large-scaled system environment, is automated when it is recovered due to danger and troubles, and allows users to conveniently access in various ways since GUI and CLI for execution and management are all provided.

  • 모드잠금 고리형 광섬유 레이저 출력의 단열 쏠리톤 펄스압축에 의해 $1545{\sim}1550\;nm$ 파장영역에서 400 ??토초의 안정성이 뛰어난 변환제한급의 10 GHz의 광 펄스를 발생시켰다. 특별한 슈퍼모드 선택소자를 사용하지 않고도 -123 dB/Hz 이하의 슈퍼모드 비팅 잡음 억제에 의해 $1\;kHz{\sim}100\;MHz$의 잡음대역에서 100 ??토초 미만의 낮은 시간 지터를 얻었다.

  • In this paper, Compression in the case where dissimilar blocks are twinned variously are carried out in the condition of lubricated interface. The degree of growth is experimentally investigated. Moreover, numerical simulations are carried out by the elastic-plastic FEM for the case of the dissimilar blocks with the initial sawtooth angle of 60。. The dissimilar blocks are twinned, larger difference between material properties leads smaller growth, and the degreased interface leads smaller growth than that in the lubricated one. Furthermore, by the simulation of compression where dissimilar blocks are twinned, it is confirmed that the tendency of the general deformation pattern is very similar to the experiment.

  • EZW, a wavelet transformation based compression algorithm, utilizes the correlations of the wavelet coefficients between subbands. Due to the reason that, it is based on Zero Tree's parent-descendant dependency of the subbands, subband coding is possible, but it is not efficient for applications, which require multi-resolution restorations. In this paper we compare and analyze the performance between spatial band coding, which apply the correlation between adjusting pixels, and EZW So as to prove that spatial band coding is superior to EZW in the sense that it exhibit higher PSNR values and that it is apt to molti-resolution restoration.

  • Recently, image and voice processing part is using wavelet transform. We propose thining algorithm using wavelet tranform. Wavelet transform consists of low frequency and high frequency in the spatial and frequency domain. After the wavelet decomposition, more than 90 percents of energy are contained in lowest frequency band. Therefor, for images with large difference of gray value between foreground and background like character images, we can more accurately in the lowest frequency band. Lowest frequency band has wavelet transform significant coefficient(WTS) that is required for the thinning algorithm we proposed Paper [3][5][7][8] can not separate consonants and vowels of korean characters. Becuase korean characters have structural feature. This paper can separate consonants and vowels. Simulation executed low frequency image and data compression can reduce 1/4$^{n}$ with level n. we can redcue time complexity 3/8.

  • The S-Band SSPA is front-end equipment to transmit both LRIT and HRIT to COMS. To provide the required EIRP, S-Band SSPA is designed to generate maximum 1kW power at its 1dB gain compression point (P1dB). Due to the operation for 24 hours per seven days, the verification on the performance of S-Band SSPA was performed thoroughly. This paper presents that major requirements such as maximum 1kW power, maximum -26dBc of IMD characteristic at 500W output and around -57dBc of coupling factor were verified through proposed test configuration.

  • In this paper, LNB(low noise block) downconverter MMIC is designed for Ku-band satellite communication system using InGaP/GaAs HBT high linear process. Designed MMIC consists of low noise amplifier, double balanced mixer, and IF amplifier with a total chip area of 2.6${\times}$1.1 $\textrm{mm}^2$. Designed MMIC has the characteristics of over 37.5 ㏈ conversion gain, 14 ㏈ noise figure, ripple of 3 ㏈, and output-referred $P_{1dB}$TEX>(1 ㏈ compression power) of 2.5 ㏈m with total power dissipation of 3 V, 50 mA.

  • In general. a speech coding is dedicated to the compression performance or the speech quality. But. the speech coding in this paper is focused on the performance of flexible transmission to the, network speed. For this. the subbanding coding is needed. which is used the wavelet packet concept in the signal analysis. The extraction of each frequency-band is difficult to general signal analysis methods, after coding each band, the reconstruction of these is also a difficult problem. But. with the wavelet packet concept(perfect reconstruction) and its fast computation algorithm. the extraction of each band and the reconstruction are more natural. Also, this paper describes a direct solution of the voice transmission on network and implement this algorithm at the TCP/IP network environment of PC.
