We conducted a thermal compression of domestic Korean pinewood for a use in flooring. For the evaluation of flooring material, we measured dimensional stability and surface hardness of thermally compressed wood. It is possible to make high-specific gravity woods with a range of 0.82-0.92 after the thermal compression with 50% compression set. The surface hardness increased with an increase in the pressing temperature. The highest value of surface hardness was $23.6N/mm^2$, which was obtained from the thermal compressed wood with pressing temperature of $160^{\circ}C$ and 30 minutes of pressing time. However, the surface hardness of woods treated at high temperature of $180^{\circ}C$ or greater decreased. The recovery of thickness decreased with increasing the pressing temperature. For dimensional stability, compression temperature was more dominant than compression time.

Hypersonic wind tunnel test of the rectangular variable geometry intake is performed. For realization of a Precooled turbojet engine, development of a hypersonic ramjet engine is planned. To investigate performance of the intake of the hypersonic ramjet engine, wind tunnel test is done with freestream Mach number of 5.1. The total pressure recovery was 18 % with 12.9 % of ramp bleed. Several reasons for low total pressure recovery are shown. Supersonic internal compression is not enough. Then, the throat Mach number is high (M2.61) and total pressure losses at the terminal shock is large. Supersonic flow at the throat and position of the terminal shock is sensitive to a difference of the second ramp's throat height and the third ramp's throat height. Flow separations at the second ramp's trailing edge and the third ramp's leading edge are seen those could result in the trigger of unstart. The seal mechanism between the ramps and the sidewalls is important.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanical properties and hand values of polypropylene knit and to analyze its color-fastness for light, laundering and abrasion, comparing to nylon and polyester knits. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Polypropylene stretched more with less force than nylon and polyester and its elastic recovery and shape stability were better than nylon and polyester. 2. Polypropylene was more flexible than nylon and polyester. 3. Polypropylene stretched more easily for shearing but its recovery from shearing was less than nylon and polyester. 4. Polyester had smoother surface than nylon and polyester. 5. Polypropylene was compressed more easily than polyester with less force but less than nylon. Its recovery from compression was more than nylon and polyester. 6. Polypropylene had lower KOSHI and SHARI values and higher FUKURAMI value than nylon and polyester. It had better T.H.V. value than nylon but less than! polyester. 7. Color fastness of polypropylene for lanudering, light, and abrasion in wet and dry conditions was good except polypropylene dyed with red color.

In this paper, ordered mode of EXT3 file system offers to use an optional compression algorithm technique. If the system terminates abnormally or an error occurs, data which is being modified will be possibly damaged or a recovery of the existing data can be impossible. To overcome these problems, a journaling file system is used. Journaling file system manages by using an additional space called Journal. EXT3 file system is the most widely used journaling file system. In this paper, When performing a file writing of an existing EXT3 file system, it offers to use an optional compact algorithm technique for an efficient use of a space of storage device.
It was the purpose of this study to analyze and compare the mechanical properties of ortho dontic open coil springs. Four variable factors were presented - wire diameter (.008", .009", .010"), lumen size (.030", .032", .036"), arch wire size and shape (.016" round, $ .016^{{\prime}{\prime}}{\times}.022^{{\prime}{\prime}}$ rect.) and alloy type (HiT II, Elgiloy, Sentalloy). The total 104 specimens were divided into 13 groups, and compression test was performed on an Instron test machine. The load deflection curve of each open coil spring was obtained, from which, the load-deflection relations, stiffnesses, percent recoveries were computed statistically. The results were obtained as follows: 1. When the lumen size of the coil spring remained constant, stiffness and percent recovery increased as the wire diameter increased. 2. When the wire diameter of the coil spring remained constant, stiffness and percent recovery decreased as the lumen size increased. 3. The effect of size and shape of arch wire on the coil spring was not statistically significant. 4. In alloy types, stiffness was the greatest in HiT II (55.21), Elgiloy (42.61) and Sentalloy (7.74) in that order. Sentalloy exhibited superior percent recovery and long range of action.
Lego block system forms a temporary pavement area using the assembled structure block in the road excavation work for the maintenance and installation of facilities. This system was developed for a safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians. A study on the fundamental performance of a lego block system was performed through material quality, sliding resistance and compression tests. And compaction performance of ground on the road was reviewed and evaluated through field tests. As a result, a lego block system for road recovery showed the excellent performance and compaction effect.

Objectives : Hemifacial spasm is painless uncommon disorder characterized by involuntary paroxysmal movement on one side of face. It is known that hemifacial spasm is mainly due to pulsatile compression by vessels at the root exit zone(REZ) of the facial nerve. Microvascular decompression at REZ of the facial nerve has become the standard treatment modality for hemifacial spasm. The authors have analized patients with hemifacial spasm treated with microvascular decompression to evaluate operation result and clinical course after operation. Patients and Methods : From 1992 to 1999, 41 patients with hemifacial spasm underwent this operation. Retrospective analysis of operation results and clinical recovery patterns was done. The length of observation had been more than 6 months in all cases. Results : The ratio of male to female was 1:1.4, and age at operation ranged from 24 to 66 years. Their mean age was 47.6 years and the mean preoperative duration of symptoms was 7.2 years. Most common offending vessels were AICA in 18 cases(48%) and second most common were PICA in 13 cases(31.7%). The rest of them were 3 case in vertebral artery, and 7 cases(13%) in multiple offending vessels. Patterns of improvement after surgery could be divided into 4 clinical types. There was complete recovery in 3 days after operation in 24 cases(58.6%, Immediate complete recovery). There was complete recovery in 3 days after operation, and symptom was recurred partially, which was gradually subsided in 2 weeks after operation in 4 cases(9.8%, Delayed complete recovery type I). There was partial recovery after operation and symptom was compretely disappeared gradually in 6 months after operation in 7 cases(17.1%, Delayed complete recovery type II). Finally, there was partial recovery after operation, and symptom was somewhat remained after 6 months later(14.5%, Delayed partial recovery). Conclusion : In conclusion, microvascular decompression for hemifacial spasm is a safe and reliable treatment modality with good results of improvement and there are 4 recovery patterns in clinical course after operation in our series. Therefore, follow-up observation after microvascular decompression is necessary to evaluate the operative results and complication, especially in the delayed resolved cases.

We propose a new watermarking scheme that can be used to embed multiple bits and also resilient to JPEG compression and geometrical transforms such as scaling, rotation, and cropping, based on off-axis holographic watermark that allows multiple watermark recovery without original content(cover image). The holographic watermark is that Fourier transformed digital hologram is embedded into cover image in the spatial domain. The proposed method has not only increased robustness with a stronger embedding but also imperceptibility of the watermark in the evaluation process.
Region of interest (ROI) is the most informative part of a medical image and mostly has been used as a major part of watermark. Various shapes ROIs selection have been reported in region-based watermarking techniques. In region-based watermarking schemes an image region of non-interest (RONI) is the second important part of the image and is used mostly for watermark encapsulation. In online healthcare systems the ROI wrong selection by missing some important portions of the image to be part of ROI can create problem at the destination. This paper discusses the complete medical image availability in original at destination using the whole image as a watermark for authentication, tamper localization and lossless recovery (WITALLOR). The WITALLOR watermarking scheme ensures the complete image security without of ROI selection at the source point as compared to the other region-based watermarking techniques. The complete image is compressed using the Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) lossless compression technique to get the watermark in reduced number of bits. Bits reduction occurs to a number that can be completely encapsulated into image. The watermark is randomly encapsulated at the least significant bits (LSBs) of the image without caring of the ROI and RONI to keep the image perceptual degradation negligible. After communication, the watermark is retrieved, decompressed and used for authentication of the whole image, tamper detection, localization and lossless recovery. WITALLOR scheme is capable of any number of tampers detection and recovery at any part of the image. The complete authentic image gives the opportunity to conduct an image based analysis of medical problem without restriction to a fixed ROI.
Recently, there has been an increasing number of ground subsidence (sink-hole) in the downtown areas, and in such a case, it is important to minimize accidents and passages through prompt recovery. With respect to the present recovery method for ground subsidence, the methods of applying the back filling after excavating the ground subsidence or using the grouting injected materials to restore the ground are mostly used, but there has been few studies on materials used for recovering the ground subsidence. Therefore, in order to clarify the characteristics of back filling materials used in the ground subsidence, this study uses the environment-friendly hardening agent to improve the dredged clay, and then, the mixture ratio of hardening agent and mixture ratio of decomposed granite soil is changed to cure for 3, 7, 14 and 28 days to analyze the intensity characteristics of the unconfined compression, and it was compared with the unconfined compression intensity for the previously used cement, a hardening agent. In order to evaluate the characteristics of intensity on the back filling materials, the C.B.R test was carried out, and for the review on whether the back filling materials influence on corrosion of water and sewer pipes and others, the soil non-resistance test was carried out. As a result of the test, for the case of the recovery work of the ground subsidence that requires urgency, it is considered as prudent if the hardening agents of 12% are integrated to cure for 3 days or longer, and for not having the influence on the corrosion of the gas tube or water pipes, it is proposed to mix for 30% or more of the decomposed granite soil. Door model test were conducted To confirm the bearing capacity characteristics of the solidified layer.
