광섬유 TR-EFPI 센서를 이용한 GFRP 직교 적층판의 변형률 해석 (Strain Analysis in GFRP Cross-Ply Laminates Using TR-EFPI Optical Fiber Sensor)

  • Longitudinal strains({$varepsilon}_x$) of the core and skin layers in glass fiber reinforced plastic(GFRP) cross-ply composite laminates have been studied using the embedded optical fiber sensor of totally-reflected extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer(TR-EFPI). Foil-type strain gauges bonded on both the upper and lower surfaces were used for the measurement of the surface strains. Both TR-EFPI sensor and strain gauge bonded on the specimen surface showed excellent agreement within -0.0086 ~ +0.0302% strain. It was shown that values of {$varepsilon}_x$ in the interior of the surface layer and the core layer measured by embedded TR-EFPI sensor was significantly higher than that of the specimen surface measured by strain gauges. The experimental results were ascertained with finite element analysis. Embedded TR-EFPI optical fiber sensor could measure accurately the internal strains which were different from the surface.

다층코팅을 이용한 C/C 복합재료의 내산화성 및 내마모성 증진 (Improvement of Oxidation Resistance and Erosion Resistance Properties of the C/C Composite with the Multilayer Coating)

  • CVD-Si3N4/CVD-SiC/pack-SiC/pyro-carbon/(3-D C/C composite) multilayer coating was performed to improve the oxdiation resistance and erosion resistance properteis of the 3-D carbon/carbon composite, and the plasma test was performed to measure the oxidation resistance and erosion resistance properties. The thicknesses of each film layer were about 10${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for pack-SiC, 5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for CVD-SiC and 40${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for CVD-Si3N4. When the multilayer coated specimen was exposed to the plasma flame with temperature of 500$0^{\circ}C$ for 20 seconds, it showed the weight loss five times less than that of the only pyro-carbon coated specimen.

  • In this study, it evaluate the tensile properties of polyamide fiber reinforced cementitious composite and hooked steel fiber reinforced cementitious Composites by strain rate. Polyamide fiber reinforced cement composites (PAFRCC) and Hooked Steel Fiber Reinforced Cement Composite(HSFRCC) were fabricated. Each specimen was reinforced with 1.0 and 2.0vol% fiber. The length of the reinforced fiber was 30 mm for both fibers, and the tensile test specimen was made in dumbbell shape. As a result, the tensile strength of fiber in polyamide fiber and the mechanical bonding between fiber and matrix in hooked steel fiber are considered to be the main factors affecting tensile behavior of fiber reinforced cement composite.

Analysis of various composite patches effect on mechanical properties of notched Al-Mg plate

  • In this study, the effect of various adhesively bonded composite patches on mechanical properties of notched Al-Mg alloy plates was analyzed. For this purpose firstly, the un-notched and notched specimens were fabricated from 5086 Al-Mg alloys which have been used in armor-plated military vehicles. The surface notches as a flaw were machined with circular cutting tool to form notch aspect ratio a/c=0.15 and notch-to-thickness ratios a/t=0.5 in the radial direction on the test specimens. Then, various composite patches which reinforced by glass, carbon and Kevlar fibers were bonded adhesively at elliptically surface notches. Finally, experimental measurements conducted by applying tensile static loading. The experimental results showed that repairing with composite patches with order of carbon, glass and Kevlar fibers have remarkable effect on tensile strength of the notched plate. Also the finite element models were developed using Abaqus/Explicit code to predict the tensile strength and elongation of unrepaired notched specimen and specimen repaired by carbon fiber composite patch. The comparison between numerical and experimental results showed good agreement between them and proved the accuracy of numerical modeling.

삼축압축시험을 통한 복합지반의 전단강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Shear Strength of Composite Ground with Triaxial Test)

  • This study performs a series of Triaxial Compression Test for clay-sand composite specimens changing area replacement ratio. Purpose of the test is to conform the propriety of weighted average method in estimating shear strength of the composite ground. The test results show that measured values of shear strength of composite specimens are larger by 20∼30% than those from estimation using the current weighted average method. It is thought that the differences are from pseudo-overconsolidation behavior of composite specimens.

  • This paper presents a study on the permittivities of the carbon nano fiber/epoxy composite at microwave frequency. The permittivities of composite materials depend on the concentrations and the dispersion methods of the carbon nano fibers. The experimental values of complex permittivities were obtained for the specimen made by dispersion method using ethyl alcohol as dispersion media and compared with the results by simple mechanical mixing method.

음향방출법을 이용한 치아/복합레진 수복재의 계면부 파괴해석 (Interfacial fracture analysis of human tooth/composite resin restoration using acoustic emission)

  • 치아의 와동에 수복된 치과용 복합레진을 광(LED) 조사를 통해 경화 수축시키면서 음향방출(acoustic emission, AE)법을 이용하여 와동 벽면과 복합레진 사이의 계면상태를 실시간 해석하였다. 복합레진의 중합 수축에 의해 AE 신호들이 검출되었는데 계면 접착 상태가 나쁜 경우, 경화 수축률이 큰 초기 1분 동안 많은 AE 사상들이 관측되었으며, 이들 AE는 주파수범위가 주로 100-200kHz인 돌발형이었다. 인간치아 재질의 시편에서 발생된 AE 사상수는 스테인리스 스틸 시편보다 적었으나, PMMA 시편보다는 많았고 접착제의 도포 상태가 양호할수록 검출되는 AE 사상수는 적었다. AE 파라미터의 특성은 복합레진과 링재 사이의 접착부에서 발생하는 인장형 균열전파 및 복합레진의 수축에 따른 링재의 압축거동과 관련되었으며, 음향방출법이 치아 수복물의 접착성에 대한 비파괴 검사법으로써 유효함을 알았다.

Influence of Biaxial Loads on Impact Fracture of High-Strength Membrane Materials

  • Impact tests on high-strength membrane materials under biaxial loads were experimentally conducted in order to evaluate influence of biaxial loads on impact fracture of the membrane materials for the inflated applications. Cruciform specimens of the membrane materials were fabricated for applying biaxial loadings during the impact test. A steel ball was shot using a compressed nitrogen gas gun, and struck the membrane specimen. Impact tests on uniaxial strip specimens were also conducted to obtain the effect of specimen configuration and boundary condition on the impact fracture. The results of the measured crack length and the ultra-high speed photographs indicate the impact fracture properties of the membrane fabrics under biaxial loadings. Crack length due to the impact increased with applied tensile load, and the impact damages of the cruciform membrane materials under biaxial loadings were smaller than those of under uniaxial loadings. Impact fracture of the strip specimen was more severe than that of the cruciform specimen due to the difference of boundary conditions.

Filament winding에 의해 제조된 복합재료 NOL RING시험편의 최적 인장강도 평가법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Evaluation Method for Tensile NOL Ring Specimen Manufactured by Filament Winding Process)

  • Filament Winding Process is a comparatively simple operation in which continuous reinforcements in the form of roving are wound over a rotating mandrel. And now well established as a versatile method for storage tanks and pipe for the chemical and other industries . In this study, tensile strength of a filament wound ring specimens were evaluated by split disk test fixture and dress disk test fixture , The results obtained from experiments were compared with the theoretical values obtained by the rule of mixtures. And the purpose of this paper is the suggestion of an appropriate test method for the evaluation of tensile properties of filament wound structures .The tensile strength of a ring specimen tested by the dress disk test showed better agreement with the theoretical values than of a ring specimen tested by the split disk test because the stress concentration in edges of a split disk test fixture is more severe than that of dress disk test fixture. The results showed that the tensile strength of a ring specimen was influenced by the geometry of test fixture, the continuity of fibers, fiber-tension, fiber-end and stress concentration in specimen.

  • 건축물의 바닥판에 대한 데크플레이트 합성슬래브 시스템의 사용이 점차 확대되어 최근에는 오피스 빌딩을 중심으로 널리 사용되고 있으나, 각종 건축 설비의 설치를 위하여 슬래브의 천공이 무분별하게 이루어지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 건축 설비에 의하여 구조물의 주 구조체인 슬래브에 천공에 의한 개구부가 있는 경우, 휨 부재로써의 역학적 성능 저하에 대하여 실험을 통하여 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 골형 합성데크 슬래브에 대하여 개구부의 형태와 위치에 따라 시험체를 제작하여 정적 가력 실험을 수행하였다. 2점 정적 반복 가력을 통하여 하중 변위 관계 그래프를 도출하였으며 각 시험체의 연성과 에너지 소산 능력을 산출하였다.
