  • This paper researched about technique of Opened CNC that were able to adapt themselves to rapid development of software and hardware. It is basic research what develop a scheme whereby technic make property. This paper theorized about to realize Opened CNC Software which is developing CNC Software flow from building Windows CE operating system's image that is possible realtime acting and multitasking. And Opened CNC Software's component designed independent classified modules.   • Defense software has short of interoperability due to the vertical development method which is dependent heavily on application area and development environments. In order to prevent from lack of reusability and operability in application domain software development technology needs component concept and makes shift to the trend of domestic software component industry. This paper covers the research topics such as domain analysis and component architecture to improve and extend reusability and inter-operability for defense information system by two approaches, i.e. CBW (Command Based Work flow) analysis and UML components identification.

  • Component-based development is being generalized as the spread of software reuse technology for rapid development productivity and high quality software.In the CBD, the identification of independent and reusable component is the one of important tasks for component-based system development. Because existing methodologies providing component identification techniques provide techniques based on heuristic techniques of component developer, it is difficult for general developers to identify components using these methods. Therefore, this paper suggests new identification factors and a technique by considering dependency characteristics according to method call types and method call directions and dependency degree. Furthermore, proposed technique is verified through case study; business components based on system components are identified effectively.

  • The environment to development information system including a GIS has been drastically changed in recent years in the perspectives of the complexity and diversity of the software, and the distributed processing and network computing, etc. This leads the paradigm of the software development to the CBD(Component Based Development) based object-oriented technology. As an effort to support these movements, OGC has released the abstract and implementation standards to enable approaching to the service for heterogeneous geographic information processing. It is also common trend in domestic field to develop the GIS application based on the component technology for municipal governments. Therefore, it is imperative to adopt the component technology considering current movements, yet related research works have not been made. This research is to propose a component-based GIS development methodology-ATOM(Advanced Technology Of Methodology)-and to verify its adoptability through the case study. ATOM can be used as a methodology to develop component itself and enterprise GIS supporting the whole procedure for the software development life cycle based on conventional reusable component. ATOM defines stepwise development process comprising activities and work units of each process. Also, it provides input and output, standardized items and specs for the documentation, detailed instructions for the easy understanding of the development methodology. The major characteristics of ATOM would be the component-based development methodology considering numerous features of the GIS domain to generate a component with a simple function, the smallest size, and the maximum reusability. The case study to validate the adoptability of the ATOM showed that it proves to be a efficient tool for generating a component providing relatively systematic and detailed guidelines for the component development. Therefore, ATOM would lead to the promotion of the quality and the productivity for developing application GIS software and eventually contribute to the automatic production of the GIS software, the our final goal.

  • Component based development has increasingly become important in the software industry. However, in the current component based development approach with UML, the absence of behavioral description of components brings about a cost problem which causes semantic errors on the testing phase. Accordingly we cannot grasp the usage pattern of component by its provided interfaces which refer to an abstraction of software component. And we cannot guarantee the behavioral conformance of the provided and required interfaces of components. In order to solve these problems, we describe the behaviors of component interfaces by state machine diagram and guarantee their behavior conformance at the modeling phase. We also propose a method to guarantee the behavior conformance of component interfaces with concept of observation equivalence and invocation consistency. And we provide an analyzing tool which checks interface behavior conformance.

A Study for the Effective Classification and Retrieval of Software Component (효과적인 소프트웨어 컴포넌트 분류 및 검색에 관한 연구)

  • A software development using components reuse is an useful method to reduce the software development cost. But a retrieval method by the keyword and category classifications is difficult to search an exact matching component due to components complexity in component reuse. Therefore, after different existing methods are examined and analyzed, an effective classification and retrieval method using XML specifications and the system architecture of components integrated management based on it are presented. Many discording elements of DTD which is component meta-expression exist in components retrieval. To compensate it, this retrieval method using estimations of precision and concision is effective one to catch considerable matching preference components. This method makes possible to retrieve suitable components having better priority due to searching similar matching components that are difficult in an existing keyword matching method.

  • The major concern of component users who develop applications using the existing components is to confirm whether a component is collaborating with the different components in accordance with the requirements. Therefore, interoperability testing whose role is to check whether components collaborate with each other within the new operating environment not within the component development content of each component is considered as an importance research topic. In this paper, we propose a test case generation technique for interoperability test of component based software. The proposed technique defines a test model for generating test cases. The proposed technique generates test models from the use case specification and thereafter from these models, test cases for Interoperability testing are derived. In addition, we describe a tool which Implements the procedures for generating test sequences from test models.

  • 복잡한 응용 프로그램을 빠르게 개발하고 이의 유지보수가 용이하도록 하기 위해 재사용 가능한 컴포넌트 기반의 소프트웨언 개발(CBD: Component-Based Development)개념이 확산되고 있고, 이와 관련 되어 컴포넌트 재사용성을 높이기 위한 EJB, COM, CCM 등과 같은 컴포넌트 모델과 이의 개발 및 이미 개발된 컴포넌트를 재사용하고자 하는 연구가 다양하게 진행되고 있다. 컴포넌트를 기반으로 시스템을 효과적으로 구성하기 위해서는 컴포넌트들이 서로 정확하게 결합하여 작동할 수 있는 아키텍쳐를 기반으로 컴포넌트의 조림 작업이 이루어져야 한다. 잘 정의된 아키텍쳐가 존재하면, 시스템이 상위수준에서 어떻게 구성되어 있고, 어떠한 기능을 수행하는지의 방향을 제시해 주므로 조립하는 시스템이 제공하는 서비스를 추상화하여 표현할 수 있다. 본 논문은 제 삼자에 의해 개발된 컴포넌트들의 조림을 통한 시스템 개발을 지원하기 위하여 아키텍쳐 기반의 시스템 설계 방법을 제안하고 이를 지원하는 도구인 COBALT(Component-Based Application DeveLopment Tool) 조립도구의 아키텍쳐 모델러를 소개한다.

Component Metrics Based on Static and Dynamic Characteristics between Classes for Component based Systems (컴포넌트 기반 시스템에서 클래스들 간의 정적 그리고 동적 특성을 적용한 컴포넌트 메트릭스)

  • In component-based system, the qualities of components as reusable units are the most important to success the component-based development. Therefore, before software implementation phase, the designed components should be measurable to improve the qualities of the components and the measured results should be reflected in the component-based development phase. In addition, the qualities of the components should be measured accurately. Accordingly, this paper proposes cohesion and coupling metrics applying static and dynamic dependency characteristics by the interdependence between classes. We prove the theoretical soundness of the proposed metrics by the axiom of briand et al. A case study and a comparison with the conventional metrics verify the practicality of the proposed metrics. The development times and endeavors to design the components is reduced, because the proposed metrics measure the qualities of components accurately.
